and another team that is worth considering this season is E. Franankfurt, they are one of the best teams in the Bundesliga and they also have a reliable striker who is currently on the rise, namely Omar Mamoush. but unfortunately, when the competition towards the last 16 was quite tight, the English club that usually performed impressively, they had to lose their consistency.

Their current number of goals scored and conceded are not so different and actually are not so relevant in my opinion as they both have played great and impressive games. I think both teams are well set up to be able to win this title as they have mostly performed against expectations. I didn't see Bilbao being so strong and while Lazio had some weaker results, they have been playing better than expected as well.

This season’s Europa league has been interesting so far, many underdogs have stepped up to the challenge this season and proving points that the competition is not for a particular set of teams to dominate. Teams like Ajax, Anderlecht and Lyon have been mentioned on this thread but it seems everyone is omitting one club who are currently sitting in second spot below Lyon “Athletic Club” who have won 5 games in 6 and drew one, I think they are also a team to look out for and can bring the surprise of the season in the Europa League this season.

True that. Remember how last year's Europa league, everyone was so sure that Liverpool would win right from the start. There were even chatter about Leverkusen winning it but Liverpool always came first on the list of potential winners and we all know how it turned out. Atalanta hammered both title contenders 3-0.

That's why I've and won't make any predictions like you. We might be thinking it's bigger teams like Lazio and Galatasaray and both might not even come close to winning it.

I agree with you we can't make a conclusion this quickly, because after all the competition is still long and along the way something surprising could happen. Now the question is who can be more consistent? This is a difficult thing to answer. Because basically the decline and increase in a team's performance cannot be predicted, especially in the European League. You gave a good example of Sevilla when they won the Europa League. In La Liga at that time they played badly, but in the Europa League they managed to come out as champions. Now this is why the competition cannot be predicted with certainty.

Thinking about consistency in these competitions, it is actually interesting if you look at it from another angle. Consistency is what you need in the leagues or otherwise you won't have a chance to win it. But how much consistency do you need in knockout rounds of other competitions? You need some degree of consistency of course to reach the knockout rounds obviously. But in my opinion you can afford games that are not at the best level and yet advance to the next round. I don't mean that you can get away with everything, but you can win a game while playing bad and advance to the next round. In the league, winning a game while playing bad can happen a couple of times, but not often enough to win a title. I think this makes these UEFA or national cup competitions interesting for underdog teams as well.

In their last 2 matches in the qualifying round, Lazio will face a fairly strong team, namely Real Sociedad and Braga. Because usually Real Sociedad can be a very significant threat when facing a stronger team. and indeed they performed quite badly and currently Braga is outside the top 24, but it seems they will fight tooth and nail to be able to win in order to finish in the top 24.

In my opinion, it's almost impossible to predict who'll win the UEFA Europa League competition during the first round of the competition which is the group stage. For instance, Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen last season were very the best teams in the group stage and were predicted by many as the potential winners but at the end, it was Atalanta who won the the competition. This season, I've vowed to wait till the quarter finals before I can start making a prediction on who is likely to win it ahead of others.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are the two representatives of the English Premier League in the UEFA Europa League this season and to be honest, I don't think any of them have all it takes to take home the trophy. I don't want to compare any of them with Sevilla who had a poor campaign in the Spanish La Liga the last time they won the Europa League because I don't think the two English clubs possess the mentality of Sevilla.

Manchester United seem to be very proactive during derby matches and at such shouldn't be mistaken for any improvement in the club's ability to win games, against Manchester city they played some exceptional football by coming from behind to snatch a late winner only for then suffer two straight losses after that. I don't think their woes are over yet, not even because of their heroic performance against Liverpool, I can't imagine picking Manchester United to win in my selections when predicting games and wouldn't advice anyone to do same either until the team is fully fortified with the right players, until that is done I don't think they are on the path to recovery yet.

That's why we are here to discuss all of that and although it is difficult to predict but discussing the UEL title holder will be very challenging.
We all must realize that weak teams in the European league can be surprising to become title holders, but all of that can be predicted a little in the group stage. And we can see from the consistency of the results obtained such as the number of scores, goals conceded or the number of wins or losses.
Like last season Atalanta was almost never discussed in this thread but it turned out to get the UEL title. While without us realizing it during the group stage, Atalanta was able to get very consistent results without being defeated in the group stage.
