I believe Amorim knows how to make substitute on where there's laxity or weaknesses on the pitch. I could remember during Liverpool match, after Liverpool equalized the goal, Amorim immediately brought out Mainoo and put in Gnarcho to strengthen the attack force, and it worked. I don't have much doubt on Amorim capabilities because I know he has the potentials in him.
Amorim does have good potential in coaching a team and now he will continue to try new things at Manchester United including in terms of player rotation and also in terms of bringing some new players into the team and selling some old players to other teams. In addition, Amorim is also aware that Manchester United will find it quite difficult to reach the best position in their domestic league this season so that most of his focus must be directed to the Europa League this season so that Manchester United can be a candidate for champions in this competition.

Don't use Manchester United performance in derby to conclude that they're beginning to pick from as they'll disappoint you. Isn't this the same Manchester United that won Manchester city in the last cup finals that both clubs played and some individuals began to think that the old Manchester United are back but immediately the season started, they began to flop from where they stopped last season. Manchester United can still win the Europa club as they're meant to do that as there isn't many teams that should be giving them much trouble since they're the biggest there but they won't instead they'll drop out of the tournament faster than many of us would have predicted.
United must care about their games against City than City cares about their games against United from what I can see. United beat them both at FA, and just recently as well and yet United doesn't look that great. Looking at how they have done with Amorim, they are still not that much better and I am not sure if they could do better neither, it is not looking like there will be that much of a difference, so we need to consider how United could still end up doing badly.

Maybe they will win these two games, maybe they won't, maybe they will play the playoff games or maybe they won't, but in the end I still do not see them as a good team that could win this cup, they are just not looking that strong, at least to me they are not looking that strong at all. I believe the best way they could move forward would be realizing they may win nothing this season, so the best case would be focusing on the league so they could finish top 8 and go to UEFA competitions next season.

No absolutely no conclusions at this point and I would rather come up with 7-8 teams than just 2 teams that have good chances to win it. As you said United and Tottenham won't do much in the Premier League, I agree, but in these cup setups, there is so much more possible due to elimination. Like Manchester United playing 2-2 in the Premier League against Liverpool away from home. In the Europa League they would now have a home game and everything would be possible. The league can be an indicator, but it has been misleading in the past. I think it was Sevilla in 2021/22? When they played bad in La Liga and won the title and eliminated Manchester United and Arsenal if I recall correctly.
I agree with you we can't make a conclusion this quickly, because after all the competition is still long and along the way something surprising could happen. Now the question is who can be more consistent? This is a difficult thing to answer. Because basically the decline and increase in a team's performance cannot be predicted, especially in the European League. You gave a good example of Sevilla when they won the Europa League. In La Liga at that time they played badly, but in the Europa League they managed to come out as champions. Now this is why the competition cannot be predicted with certainty.

I wonder why not more people are looking to teams like Lazio. They had some bad games too, but still look far more stable than Manchester United in my opinion.

They are one of the favorites for sure.
Lazio and Athletic Bilbao are two of the strongest teams in the league. Manchester United and Tottenham didn't perform like them. In the end it's still in group stage so don't come to conclusions easily. As long as they advance to quarter final there will be no problem.

But there is Bilbao and some other teams that have played very well and of course Lazio despite the few games that they lost recently, but I think especially those Italian teams are not to be neglected in these competitions.

I think the field of possible favorites is still wide open. Sometimes these competitions develop against all expectations and it happened a couple of times in the last few years.

There are still some great names in there, but this doesn't mean anything. I think a surprise could be possible as well. Before the Europa League started, I think Anderlecht wasn't said to be ranked as highly as they are now.

Lazio and Athletic Bilbao have the same points, namely 16 points with 5 wins and 1 draw, on the other hand both teams are also the teams with the strongest defense so far in the UEFA Europa League, at least from 6 matches. Lazio only conceded three goals, and Bilbao even less, they only conceded two goals. On the other hand in their respective domestic leagues, they are also teams that are quite reckoned with when facing top teams, especially Lazio who were able to stop Napoli's winning record and were able to hold Atalanta to a draw.

and another team that is worth considering this season is E. Franankfurt, they are one of the best teams in the Bundesliga and they also have a reliable striker who is currently on the rise, namely Omar Mamoush. but unfortunately, when the competition towards the last 16 was quite tight, the English club that usually performed impressively, they had to lose their consistency.

Galatasaray in terms of performance and team can be seen to be better than Ajax. but they cannot underestimate Ajax. they will play at home and of course, will give everything to win. Galatasaray did play well but sometimes their game was quite chaotic or they had difficulty maintaining a goal advantage.
Although Galatasaray is quite strong in this season, surely they must be careful to play against any team in Europa league. Moreover, it is against Ajax Amsterdam which is one of the big teams in Eredivisie league. The match will be held in Ajax home as well. I also think it won't be an easy match for Galatasaray. However, I believe Galatasaray can get points against Ajax if their defense can play solidly. IMO, the weakest part of this team is in the defense line, the coach must apply a proper strategy that can strengthen their defense. Just don't play very offensive which can lead the defense to be difficult to cover all the areas.

Galatasaray is not without problems this season, although they are good in midfield and forward attack, there are many problems at the back, the stopper and full-back players are not that good, so they are a team that can easily concede goals. Ajax will be the most difficult match in the group, maybe that's why Galatasaray needs to be very careful, especially defensively.

Osimhen and other players will do their jobs, they have a good game tactically in the future and Osimhen can play comfortably, he gets along well with the team and is very happy to be in Galatasaray. The right thing should be done to strengthen the defense, even though the players are probably insufficient, the best and the right coach should be found for this match.

Italian has two representative they are Lazio and Roma but Roma still struggle to improved their position on League standing and for Lazio they have good chances to qualified but all they have to do is at least get 1 point from Sociedad for 7th matches later and if they are able to do that then Lazio can directly qualify for the round of 16

But a little worried about their performance in Serie A because last month Lazio suffered several defeats and even the latest lost the Derby match against Roma so i hope this defeat does not have an impact on Lazio's performance later in this competition because basically Lazio's chances of going to the next round are very wide open
For Lazio and Roma's performance in this competition, I don't think I will doubt it even though Roma will qualify through the playoffs.
Lazio, although their performance in Serie A is a bit bad, believe that this team will be very strong in the UEL which has become the main plan for the team to win the title. However, for Roma, I doubt that the team can win the title. Because of the difficulties that Roma is currently experiencing when maintaining a more stable performance. Meanwhile, after qualifying for the next round, Roma must fight a stronger team and at that time Roma will start to look unable to qualify for the semi-finals or finals.

It is also because we have seen how United changed coaches in a certain period of time and it is still considered inappropriate. The changes made are on average in a short time, and they hope United returns to the performance shown when held by SAF.
Amorim will need time to form his team. We have seen several players ready to be released which means they are not included in Amorim's plans. Now we will see who United brings in to make changes.

I've tried to tell us on this thread that I don't expect Ruben Amorim to perform any sort of magic that'll see Manchester United win a major trophy like the UEFA Europa League trophy this season but that doesn't mean that I'm totally writing them off from winning the competition but I just don't think they have the mentality to win the competition this season but I have high hopes and confidence that if Ruben Amorim remains at the club beyond the season, he'll restore Manchester United to become one of the best teams in Europe again.

After 6 UEFA Europa League games this season by both Galatasaray and Ajax, the former is just two points better than the former so as the host team of that encounter, I expect Ajax to be the favorites to win that particular game. Galatasaray who'll be the away team on their own I think can as well take all three points in that game but that i think will be difficult for the Turkish champions. It'll be an exciting game for neutrals and I'll be very happy to witness the outcome of that encounter

Indeed, Lazio and Bilbao are stable teams in the current title hunt, only conceding a few goals and never losing at all from 6 matches makes them occupy the top position in the standings, they are certain to enter the next phase, but Tottenham and Man Utd also cannot be ruled out just like that. These 4 teams are strong candidates, I agree that for now we should not rush to guess, the journey is still long and consistency is needed here, but I hope there will be a surprise from another team to make the European league more interesting.
It seems that this Italian club is really focused on the Europa League rather than Serie A, even though they lost in the Serie A match, but in the Europa League they are really consistent with Bilbao, both have the same points, namely 16 points, but only a few differences make Lazio at the top of the Europa League standings, Tottenham and Man United are still relatively safe, but Anderlecht and Galatasaray must be aware that they can displace Lazio and Bilbao, Lyon and Eintracht Frankfrut are also likely to be able to compete with other big clubs.

Choosing Galatasaray is indeed much better than Ajax, Galatasaray in terms of their game is quite better with the strategy that is always used by O. Bad they are ranked while this thanks to what they have done.
While Ajax themselves they are not good in matching and are now in the 10th point of the UEFA Europa League standings, yes, although not so bad, the success is more shown by Galatasaray if we compare it, Man United is still in the transition phase and also adaptation to Amorin, while Spurs I am very doubtful, considering they are not so good.

Galatasaray did play well but sometimes their game was quite chaotic or they had difficulty maintaining a goal advantage.
while MU and Tottenham are inconsistent. they can play well but can also play badly. like Tottenham who managed to win 1-0 against Liverpool in their last match.
In terms of experience, Ajax is still quite good, but it cannot be denied that in the last 2 seasons in big competitions such as the Champions League or Europa League, Ajax has declined slightly and now they still cannot be stable if they are in this big competition, so in the end it is quite natural that Galatasaray is now still quite favored as the winner in this match.

But in the end this is still quite long because this match will occur for the last week for them and Ajax still has to face Rigas, which in fact should be 3 points they can get and Galatasaray must face Kyiv first to ensure their comfort is in a decent position to qualify directly in the Europa League.

Currently Galatasaray is still one of the clubs that is indeed quite good especially with the addition of Osimhen in their squad for the attack line and several other experienced players such as Dries Mertens or Ziyech still make them quite strong for this season.

It seems like this match will be quite fierce because Ajax has a revenge that they want to do in this meeting. Ajax played badly in the previous two matches so that the meeting with Galatasaray must be tried to get better results even though the final result will end in a draw.

For me, Galatasaray is certainly favored in this match, they have many good players in the team, especially Osimhen is performing well so there is a chance for them to steal 3 points at Ajax. Also this match is important for Galatasaray to secure their position, I will bet on Osimhen et al's victory, they can perform better when facing the Eredivisie League team. In another match I also want to witness Manchester United's consistency in maintaining their good performance, they will face Rangers in the next meeting.

Amorim just needs time but he shouldn't be given the room to abuse it just like Ten Hag did. If Manchester United must grow again as a team they need then Amorim should pay very close attention to the strength of his squad. Note down which player suits a position better, which one can come in as substitute and as well as players he feels he won't be needing.

The goal is to win the Europa and this won't be achievable with the inconsistency been displayed by United. The team doesn't deserve petting they should have rigorous trainings and so they can boost their confidence and return back to their winning streak
Secondly the team need to understand themselves especially on the pitch.

I think Hansi Flick is the guy right. He's a manager that does not play with trainings and doesn't condole any sense of disrespect or ineptitude with players even on the training ground. Oftentimes we've heard players saying though he's a friendly guy but when it comes to discipline he's ground standing.

Manchester United needs such a manager who will take his time to study the gameplay of each player and under the synergy between the team players. Amorim needs to be very prudent in his approach towards handling his players and transfer out players which are not strong enough.

Well I even see Galatasaray at this point as a preferred choice over Ajax, until Ajax is able to be consistent enough having  a definite pattern around their scheme of play, I  will not regard them as a top contending the europa this season,  they have been trying but without a said pattern and that in it self is flawed, Manchester United have simular case but some how he could manage to build  some optimism with them and hopefully they don't dissapoint, my most confidence is still with the spurs, they have a better chance and are .most likely going  to win except they allow last season repeat itself.

Given the depth of Galatasaray squad this season, it is only natural that they are included in the list of favorite teams to win this season. I would also choose Galatasaray over Ajax if given a limited choice, but there is nothing to underestimate here, because the Europa League always presents many surprises. Good and even squad depth does not guarantee success in winning trophies, even an unbeaten record cannot be completely trusted. On the other hand, regarding Man United and Tottenham, I think both have better bargaining power than the average other contestants, because they come from very competitive leagues. But in fact, they have not been able to meet expectations. Amorim must work hard to appear more promising so that he can talk a lot in the Europa League.

Understand themselves in the pitch you mean? For how long will Manchester United do that? They didn't do this when Ten Hag was the coach, is it now Amorim is the coach, thinking of ways to sell off most Manchester United players to sign new players to the team.

However, it's really hard to think Manchester United will be formidable as they're known for, years back. Selling most of the team players to bring in new players seems to be the only solution to Manchester United's existing problems of team poor performance.

For this very season anyway, Manchester United should forget about lifting any trophy, and focus on reaching the top 5-7 of the domestic league. Next season, they can think and work toward lifting the trophy or appearing top of the PL table.

Amorim really needs time before he can be able to strengthen the squad they want Manchester United to be. Because this team has been facing hard times from previous seasons, it will not be an easy task for Amorim, but with the way things are going now, he will actually try his possible best to get this team back with strength, although on a normal day, if the new manager comes in, he really needs time before he will be able to deliver the kind of result he expected to deliver, so I think Amorim needs time to make the possible changes to make things better for Manchester United.
The main problem is from Manchester United fans, they are hyping their players too much as well as the new coach which is why there was much expectation from Amorim because it was obvious from fan’s point of view that Ten Hag is the only problem Manchester United is having not knowing that there are other problems; the coming of Amorim has exposed everything including players that are not capable enough to be in Manchester United.

However, I believe that if Amorim was given enough money to sign players and time to put them in order, he will make Manchester United proud because he have qualities of a good coach.
Moreover, he can start from the Europa League this season because even though the team is not performing really well in the Premier League, they can still make it in the Europa League.

Ajax and Galatasaray may be the dark horses in this competition, they must be watched out for because they can give a surprise at any time. It's a bit difficult to make a choice this time, but based on their performance so far, Lazio are very likely to be one of the finalists. Tottenham and MU have yet to maintain their consistent performance, but Athletic Club is still far from expectations, especially as they have just lost to Barcelona in the Super Cup.
Based on the conditions that have been seen from the several teams you mentioned, it is indeed quite reasonable to be wary of Ajax and Galatasaray in this competition, because even though there is still a possibility for several of these teams to get better changes in the rest of this season, Ajax and Galatasaray are two teams that do have more surprising tactics so teams like Lazio and several others should not underestimate Ajax and Galatasaray in the Europa League this season.

Compared to Galatasaray and Ajax, it seems that the ones to watch out for are Eintracht Frankfurt and maybe Anderlecht. Because, so far Anderlecht are also unbeaten and of course, that is an impressive result for a team like Anderlecht who were previously not considered to be candidates for the title. Also, there is still Lyon who certainly  cannot be underestimated at all and likewise, of course they must keep up their performance to stay good because if not, the teams you mentioned also still have a chance to fail in the Europa League this season. The competition will still be interesting even though some of the seeded teams have not had good results so far, but there are still other  teams who might be able to make a surprise like Anderlecht, maybe.

Ajax and Galatasaray can also be counted among these teams. I think the biggest teams among the Europa League teams are the 6 teams we mentioned. In my opinion, one of the finalists will be Lazio. The other finalist may change depending on the eliminations. Manchester United or Tottenham can be said to be two strong teams in this regard. Of course, we should not forget the Spanish representative Athletic Bilbao.
