Fighting without eating is a road down to disaster as Khamzat had said he did it for one of his fights in the past but never again.
It was worse than suffering a debilitating injury in the octagon according to him.

That was really a terrible decision to do our body isn't really cooping up to the energy loss and you will not have enough strength to deal with wrestling and your striking will not have enough force but at least he won that fight so with the following Ramadan it will end on April 22, the call it Eidul-Fitar so Khamzat Chimaev will not accept any fight by then,

Don't know why directly after the fight Marlon Vera calls out Petr Yan in a tweet. Grin

Well, I really don't know the reason but it could be that Petr Yan has lost to Merab Dvalishvili and eventually could be a possible fight for him, or he realized he doesn't stand a chance against fighters with wrestling, but Marlon Vera truly has a potential and just like him Petr Yan could be a good match for him to get a cash fight and both of them has a slow start when fighting,

Well, there's a preparation time and he may have a game plan all ready to execute in his training regimen. He won't be challenging him if he ain't sure about it. Plus, it must be done while he is in his prime. 30 years of age, is when most fighters are strong enough to keep on fighting. Take a chance, if he fails then come back stronger and not that old yet while climbing back the ladder.

Maybe his training on wrestling was not meant for Marlon Vera but was for Merab Dvalishvili all along and all he needs to do is continue that training regime and Cory Sandhagen also have the height and reach advantage than Merab Dvalishvili I really think the progress of Sandhagen will also adjust many fighters to do the same,

As for the judge's scorecards many were questioning why it was even a split decision since it was crystal clear that Sandhagen dominated Vera almost all rounds and those who scored even that one round in favor for Chito were being mostly generous.

Thank you for the link.
I think Chris Lee's scorecards would best be compared to my own scorecards, if not round 3, I will give him round 5 where Marlon Vera tried to be more aggressive in the final minute of the fight. But I won't give him 2 rounds of win.
I am curious though if Joel Ojeda's vision is still 20-20. He better visit his ophthalmologist for a check-up.
As I research about him, it seems like he still lacks experience so I won't be as hardcore as Matt Brown saying he should find another job. The best solution for this is to not let him judge the main events and co-main events fights. It can become a disaster if ever another judge has the same bad eye as him.
This is just for me I think it is still too early for Cory Sandhagen to fight Merab Dvalishvili, because Merab Dvalishvili is a heavy wrestler, what I mean is 48 takedowns is not that easy it required a lot of stamina, which Cory Sandhagen didn't showcase it is too early in my opinion, but maybe a little training on enhancing his stamina tank, and upgrading a few tweaks on his wrestling and grappling approached then we could see a new Cory Sandhagen, but again I'd like to see Cory Sandhagen in a different fight but he truly wants Merab Dvalishvili, then I think it is good to go,

I think that Khamzat Chimaev VS Paolo Costa is in the works right now Well Khamzat Chimaev is moving to the Middleweight because of this Then I think if Colby Covington became the champion if he beats Leon Edwards then I think it is alright for Khamzat Chimaev to take the belt for him and in an interview with Ariel Helwani that Colby Covington will be an easy fight for him, and right now he isn't getting any fight yet, because it is Ramadan so Khamzat Chimaev is on fasting that  means it is a hard time for him if he accepted a fight right now without taking any food at all,
It seems that is the reason why we do not see Khamzat Chimaev inside the octagon until Ramadan ends it is fasting time for the Muslim community it will be 30 days of fasting, if I am not mistaken because it has started on March 22, and it will end on April 20, so yeah no fight for Khamzat Chimaev by then, because he will not have food intake, but Paolo Costa should be ready because after this Ramadan it will be game over for him,

I may be the worst judge if ever, I only gave Marlon Vera one round on that fight and it's not even a dominant one that I could say he really won it. You are correct, there's just no activity from him, then he got frustrated by the slippery movement of Cory, and I think he only realized it at the last 20 seconds of the 5th round when he became so aggressive which we all know is too late.
We could say Sandhagen really dominated Vera. No questions, this guy has a greater goal ahead.

I think we have the same judgment about the fight I think it should be a majority decision win for Cory Sandhagen because if not it is likely a robbery even though Cory Sandhagen won, it was a split decision meaning it was a close fight which is not the case, even Dana White will surely agree with us, he even implies that the judge that scores a lot for Marlon Vera should not be allowed to judge next time, I think it is too late now, the damage has already been done, I think there are many fights that already have suffered the same fate as this one,

I agree with the fan there, make it happen, that's what the fans want so give it to them and I do believe Cory Sandhagen is ready too because he didn't hesitate at the post-fight interview, credits to him for challenging the top guy after the fight with Vera, some would say in their press con, "they will take a rest first then think". I mean, he badly wants to have a title shot so this is the faster way to be seen by the champion and possibly become a title contender.

Marlon Vera fight which I currently have on the UFC Fight Pass playing to rewatch the fight it was a disappointing loss but he didn't do much during the entire fight. First and second round was Cory's I think Vera won one or two rounds after that. But Sandhagen just looked more active and shooting those takedowns to win the fight. Even Marlon's coach in the corner kept telling him inbetween rounds he had to start fighting.

During the post-interview fight COry calls out Merab and asks him if he is hungry, and he had something for him and it don't taste good! hah, now that was funny.

After the fight Merab was at the arena but causing some trouble as you can see from the footage captured by the fan who was getting attacked by the UFC fighter.

Holly looked in great shape and beat her opponent quite easily even though it went the distance. There was no doubt she was going to win with her ground game. But I do agree with you, she is getting quite old so she only has a few more years but hearing she has another 5 fights to go so to close her contract is something unusual to hear.

I actually caught Ronda Rousey's very first fight at UFC 3 when she beat Miesha Tate for her first title win on UFC 24/7 fight pass today.
That was so long ago and to think Holm beat her to win the championship is very impressive the way she was the armbar master back in 2016 onwards.

Actually, Holly Holm did a great job in returning back, and just like she said she has evolved her style and added wrestling and grappling to the mix, and I think on her long absence in the UFC she has surely been preparing for a comeback, she now knows what she lacks and have trained for it a long time, and I think she has the dedication in coming back for the belt I just think that is her target returning in the UFC, I also catch glimpses on Ronda Rousey aswell and Holly Holm was the 1st fighter who gives her the Loss,

Cory Sandhagen just like Holly Holm is a different fighter with his wrestling now, I just don't see him winning against Marlon Vera but that new style he has surely is Marlon Vera's weakness and I really know that Marlon Vera has a slow pace starting the fight and Cory Sandhagen exploited that to give him advantage on the scores, I really think that Sandhagen has won the majority of rounds he should have won a majority decision and again the Judges have busted it again, so Dana White was really concern and frustrated about that result with the Split decision,

That Merab Dvalishvili incident was really kind of not Merab I really think he is a cool and calm guy but this is just a fan and getting into an altercation easily I think  he needs to contained his cool or maybe he is just scaring the fan that is all,

I was surprised to read that Holly Holm was given a six-fight contract with the UFC.  I figured her fighting days were behind her after taking down Ronda Rousey in one of the biggest upsets ever, who everyone thought was unbeatable.  That was a while ago and Holly wasn't a spring chicken back then, so it's surprising to see she's signing long fight deals with the UFC while Ronda Rousey is messing around with fake wrestling.  Congrats to Holly, and while I'm surprised, that seems to be the trend with her.  Surprising everyone.  Let's see what she does next.

My oh my, our bet for Marlon Vera didn't win. And my parlay also doesn't look pretty good as Tucker Lutz was also defeated by Daniel Pineda.

This was my line on that fight.
Vera - Holm - Landwehr - Maycee Barber - Duraev - Lutz
4/6 which for me is bad, I'll take one lost in my parlay but two seem to be an odd loss.
Anyway, that's a good fight. Holly Holm dominated Yana Santos, which must feel pretty good for her as she was able to win again after being gone for almost a year, rumored retirement, and her last fight was a big split decision loss against Vieira.
If she wants to retire this should be it, a winning record before she steps out and hangs her gloves.

I never really expected Cory Sandhagen to throw many takedowns like that and we all know that Marlon Vera kind of has a slow start and that has made him really lost in this fight, because when the fight ended with a decision he doesn't get a chance to make up for that score, Cory was shooting takedowns from the start of the fight,

Well, Holly Holm's return is signaling that she still wants the spotlight and I think she is targeting a higher spot in the ranking may be a Raquel Pennington, or Julianna Peña before calling it quits, but maybe the Belt but we all know about Amanda Nunes but let's just wait

I also watch his training it was really intense alright, and I have noticed that Israel Adesanya seems buff right now his muscle seems bigger now, so this is a good sign that he is going to have more durability, and stronger so he can rug dolled Pereira, but yeah he still needs to lower his weigh for the fight he might get heavier but I think this will be very effective on wrestling now,

Well, wrestling is the game plan so I think that training is fit for him, cardio training to lengthen his cardio inside the octagon, to last for those takedowns, or even shooting 48 take-downs like Merab Dvalishvili or even more, and that extra muscle you are talking about should be great for takedowns aswell and for durability purpose too,

I think uncle Dana White has something to say about who's going to fight who, but surely now that Khamzat Chimaev is moving up to 185 to the Middleweight surely to face Paolo Costa and Alex Pereira, now Colby Covington in the 2nd rank is getting at Leon Edwards, well even though Leon Edwards has express that he doesn't like Colby Covington as an opponent well he is champion now because now he is nit-picking a fight for himself, and Edwards wants Jorge Masvidal, but yeah the UFC and Dana White fuck it they want a Colby Covington VS Leon Edwards fight instead,

Based on his training I think he is enhancing his cardio more and readying into an all-out wrestling for sure, right now he can apply a Merab Dvalishvili kind of style to Alex Pereira, I think he can really dominate him with that kind of tactic it will surely disrupt Pereira just like what Petr Yan, did but what if Alex Pereira would be accustomed to wrestling as well, but surely because he just recently entered MMA I think Israel Adesanya will be more advance than him, just look at that intense training,

No doubt.
Sparring with heavier fighters might be the key to his win. Pereira really looks big especially his upper body, if Adesanya will try to dominate him using a takedown strategy, he may need upper body strength too and that's to keep him down and dominate as many rounds as he possibly can. The stand-up fight seems to not work unless he can use his kicks but that would be risky and we saw it at their last fight, so using other means will be their next step.

Meanwhile, here is the update for the pound-for-pound rankings according to CBS after Leon Edwards won against Usman.
https://www.cbssports.com/mma/news/ufc-pound-for-pound-fighter-rankings-leon-edwards-ascends-into-top-five-with-second-win-over-kamaru-usman/
1. Alexander Volkanovski -- Featherweight champion (24-2)
2. Islam Makhachev -- Lightweight champion (24-1)
3. Jon Jones -- Heavyweight champion (27-1, 1 NC)
4. Leon Edwards -- Welterweight champion (20-3, 1 NC)
5. Israel Adesanya -- Middleweight champion (23-2)
It's surprising how Adesanya is still there but that's a sign he will be the favorite on their bout on April 8.
Leon Edwards though, I still want to see him KO some fighters and be a real dominant champion. We only saw him fight Usman with the belt on his side, I am expecting a better performance in his upcoming bouts before I put him on my own top 5 pound-for-pound rankings.

WOW! Alexander Volkanovski is in the top 1, while Jon Jones is in the 3rd position I think this is a pound-for-pound rank that is not really biased on fight 1 fighter but what if CBSSpots is biased for Alexander Volkanovski, well we will never know, and I think Leon Edwards really deserves to be there but surely he needs to minimize those fouls that he is committing against his fight to Kamaru Usman, but right now I really focus with the upcoming Marlon Vera VS Cory Sandhagen fight and I really forgot to put my full picks in here, but maybe later, when I finish work,

For sure he and his team are cooking up some plans to take down the current champion and I guess he has rested well and watched his Stylebender channel right now he has certain training for stress and the mind aswell so I think he was all good and prepared for the rematch, and if you want to watch the whole video here is the LINK he got Blood Diamond in the UFC Welterweight division, Carlos Ulberg, in the Light Heavyweight as his sparring partners, and Tyson Pedro in the Light Heavyweight in the training camp,

Well, Adesanya has so many skills up his sleeve, I am guessing there is already a game plan written and a part of it is the weakness that they saw in their first fight. First, Pereira's chin is not that hard, Adesanya already made him wobble in that first round of their fight. Alex might become more cautious about those fists of Israel and that will be an opportunity for takedowns if he becomes too careful defending his upper body.

WHOA!!!! Surprise-surprise, I was really excited about this fight I really want Israel Adesanya to conquer that fear over Alex Pereira, and this fight will surely prove a lot I want to really see Israel Adesanya getting back and settle his score with Alex Pereira he should transition into wrestling he is quite good at it actually so why not make it as a 100% tool kit he can let go as kryptonite for Alex Pereira I really like that to happen and to see because I also predicted that Israel Adesanya will surely show us some new moves and this time wrestling was really what he had shown us,

perreira needs to be focused during the whole fight and wait for Adesanya to make mistakes due to his emotional state, because Adesanya is a fighter who performs well in the fight and this time he becomes very motivated to win the fight
The stats don't lie and thank you for sharing that. I think cardio will be a big deal here again but I am hoping Adesanya already made some improvements on that part. The same with Alex he needs to be focused every time and he cannot just give away free shots in his head. If possible, take the fight to the mat and exhaust Alex first.

I believe that the odds this time should be in favor of Perreira, I remember that when the two fought the odds were @1.40 for Israel Adesanya and @2.40 for Pereira, but as Perreira won the fight I think that this time Pereira should have @1.30 or @1.40 and Adesanya had to be at odds above @2.00, probably many people will bet on Adesanya to win the fight, I can't understand why they keep underestimating perreira

he can win it now without a doubt.

many people and even bookmakers are looking in the direction that Adesanya is preparing very well so that this time he wins and takes revenge for past defeats, the problem is that in a fight in which the fighter will fight the same opponent as already defeated you in the past, the fighter who was defeated loses his fighting spirit or optimism right at the beginning of the fight if he suffers blows, this is a reaction that the body has, the head of the fighter who was defeated becomes a mess and the fighter loses concentration, for this reason I prefer to bet on perreira. but many news and analyzes and even data from the past fight indicate that Adesanya has a small advantage over perreira

I have checked on Stake that Israel Adesanya was still the favorite to win, over Alex Pereira, we can see from their last fight that he is still dominating most rounds until Alex Pereira just lost himself out of rage then that sudden burst of punches got him, well for me wrestling was the only weakness of Pereira and Israel Adesanya should go and finish this up into the ground, even though stylistically it is not his style this is the only way he can win against Alex Pereira,

I think both fighters are preparing eagerly and for Pereira, I think it is enhancing his takedown defense more, he can not learn wrestling that fast, so I think this is the only thing he is training on right now, while Adesanya on his wrestling even more,

Well in the interview she is not very sure what in her last fight that is it, but she wants to fight some more, I think this time it is a 6 fight contract for the UFC, that she has signed, I think Holly Holm just needs a long break that is why she has cut ties suddenly with the UFC, I think a lot of rest is needed by Holms while I think Ronda Rousey just don't want to get hurt anymore, that is why she changed her career to fake wrestling, well showbiz ness isn't really that bad, as long as she is safe in doing what she loves most,

The Brand Ambassador of Stake.com is Israel Adesanya so I think I will be a bit biased when the odds come out.

As for Alex, he should be ready because the challenger will give his everything with no hesitation.

perreira needs to be focused during the whole fight and wait for Adesanya to make mistakes due to his emotional state, because Adesanya is a fighter who performs well in the fight and this time he becomes very motivated to win the fight

They are wanting Usman to fight Chimaev which I mean wouldn't be like Diaz vs Khamzat, He didn't want it from the get go and missing weight just to slide out of that fight from happening. And to be honest, I didn't mind it since everybody was saying he was going to just slaughter poor Nate in the first.

Just let Leon bask in the glory for now since he well deserved it and nobody can say anything about it this time around.

Speaking of Khamzat Chimaev here is a VIDEO clip on why nobody wants to fight Chimaev, and it was also hilarious

I really like Khamzat Chimaev to stay in the Welterweight because there are rumors that he will be going up the Middleweight class to fight Alex Pereira for the belt, but I really want him to stay for now so he can settle his score with Colby Covington, for me, Kamaru Usman will be bulldozed by Chimaev for sure just like what he did with Kevin Holland, but because of Usman's level of grappling he will be having a hard time with Usman but eventually Khamzat Chimaev strength is really proven out of this world, Yes he will surely Slaughter Nate Diaz, I am picturing out what will happen with their fight, actually the one that I am not picturing out was the Usman VS Edwards fight so I can not make a decision back then,

Well, Dana White is bullying Leon Edwards to fight Colby Covington and he can not do something about it, because even though he is the champion Dana White still has control over who's fighting who,

UFC 287: Pereira vs Adesanya 2 - The Heat Is On | Official Trailer | April 8

The Brand Ambassador of Stake.com is Israel Adesanya so I think I will be a bit biased when the odds come out.

Flashback: He got Pereira on the first round of their first meet and if only there is more time it could've been an early KO. But the fight went to Round 5 with both fighters having exhausted bodies. Pereira got Adesanya on the chin and the rest is history. Ref stopped the fight.

A revenge fight for the last stylebender so we might see all the skills that he has in this fight. He has nothing to lose anymore but there is something he can gain back. The title, the fame, and his reputation.
Most fighters will come back strong after a huge loss, this is it, he can win it now without a doubt. As for Alex, he should be ready because the challenger will give his everything with no hesitation.

And also here is the link to the Multi-Master Challenge for the UFC Fight Night San Antonio Marlon Vera VS Cory Sandhagen,
