I found a group buy for these today, for about $720 CAD each, minimum order of 6.
I guess I'll grab them since there's nothing in stores and my mining expert is very sad with only 6 cards. Thanks for the info here, it helps a lot. The guys buying/selling them are of course noobs and I can't trust their numbers until I found some more here.

Nice to know you could grab some GPUs. your testing performance with Equihash is really nice, almost the same with 1070 Ti.
I dont know why my test for ZEC just achieved only 470 sol/s. But I plan to mine ETH, so it's not problem Cheesy

I didn't benchmark it myself, just summarizing the info I've found from multiple sources. There's a video on youtube where the cryptonight and equihash numbers came from, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOXc35DiAbM

Interesting. Where you located in Canada and if the price includes delivery and taxes?

I can buy cards cheaper, even Nvidia increased pricing for $100 pet p104 recently.
Just hassle with customs and delivery.

Shipping will be a few dollars more from Vancouver Island to your location, unless you can pick it up of course. Taxes will hopefully be avoided since any duties will have been paid by the importer and absorbed into the price already.
Unfortunately, the supplier in China is telling the guy importing our GPUs that Nvidia is jacking up the prices of this GPU up by $85 (USD I assume) and so we are waiting for the supplier to meet with NVIDIA and confirm wtf is going on. Hopefully, it works out as I really would like a few of these to put in my stupid asus mining expert motherboard. It basically requires mining cards to get over 13 cards working at once.
If anyone is interested, I suggest you just go where I did, the VoskCoin discord chat: https://discord.gg/Gfdkuyw
Find the #Canada section and you'll figure out what to do. You *might* be able to get in on the group buy even from other countries, but you'll have to ask the guy there organizing it. He obviously can't guarantee anything in regards to any customs fees, duties, taxes, etc. in that case.

Nice GPU with higher hashrate
Btw, P104-100 what is that? Nvidia Tesla? or what?
I'm sorry i dont know about that

A dedicated mining card based on 1070 but using DDR5X memory and what seems to be a mining optimised BIOS.

Has no video outs and 3 month warranty e.g https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-NP104D5X-4G

If it's anything like the P106-100 (which is based on 1060) it will probably only be available directly in bulk to those with the right contacts for a while yet.

Wow nice, good hash rate with only 1*8pin power
but, price is too high, 20 LTC, seriously?
i just waiting this GPU at lowered price

Would like to buy some of them.. but cannot finde a trustful reseller. What do you think about the reseller on Alibaba? Are they seriously?

I'm not sure but I got a bad experience with Alibaba before when I purchased some Great Wall PSUs.

Have you got the deal yet? and what's the price?
With these performance, I think its price may be more than 500$?

We havent got it yet. It seems like we could not get the deal Sad

so I can call myself a professional miner. great  Cheesy

I think you're lucky. Even me, I have a big group buy and contract with distributor, but we have reach our deal yet.
There're some big competitors out there, they would like to pay more money for the batch Sad

How do one get their hands on these Wink

So are these going to be released stateside? And when?

These are being released States side, but not really to the public. I think only professional miners have access to them, at least according to my reliable distributor.  Undecided

Drop that core clock and raise that memory a bit, ETH is all about bandwith.. ;-)

That's what I did. In nvidia-settings in Linux, I dropped my core to -200 (max allowed). If I raise the memory by anything over ~+280, P104-100 seems to just default back to the factory clock. This is very different behavior from other GPU cards, because they would normally just crash if you OC too much.

Huh?
I am having difficulty getting my P104-100 to overclock well Cry

If I set the memory to above +300, it just kinda falls back to factory default settings by itself. It doesn't crash, just goes back to default clock it seems (based on hashrate in Claymore). Anything under +300, it seems to actually overclock and achieve a higher hashrate.

Any thoughts?

What's so unique about that 40MH/s+ BIOS? Is it some kinda of a hack?

Some basic changes memory wise.

Hey,

Some more historic info.

This card did 28-29Mh when it first got built a few months ago, which was completely stock.

When we were first testing it with nvidia, i did a small and simple tweak and i got it up to 40Mh+.

It is now selling with that small modification for around 500USD per card, that is if you can find/get it.

That initial 40Mh we got was indeed as i said with custom timings, also knowing that the prototype had only 4GB GDDR5X memory.

For your reference, the ones being built/sold have 8GB GDDR5X memory. (not that it will make such a huge difference)

Cheers

Edit: it is now selling for over 900USD..

Hi, Elio! Nice to see you again. So, now you are working for nVidia?
Are they going to release some bioses for gtx1080 or gtx1080ti with performance timings? Or just some hints? I've heard about a tool that can change something in nvidia bios and deal with signature check already.

Hey Buddy!

Well, i'm doing lots of things ;-)

They're not going to release any vbios related things regarding GTX gpu's, in other words, only "mining" gpu's will have the ability to be customized..

Any one of you can do that "in theory"..

Open up the vbios in a hexeditor, make changes (timings wise) and you can sign it here: https://gfs.nvidia.com/

I know i know, you can't just open it, make some changes and hope for the best.. It's a lot more complicated than an AMD vbios..

I'm sure some tools will pop up eventually to make it a lot easier..

Cheers!

Ps. i'll hook up my P104 one of these days again and do some more tests and share some screens..
