I think that is good, than we have to sent our private personal data. But it still has another problem since the investors isn't came from a place with the same time zone, except that the project it self as a night shift that could accommodate the customers form different time zone.

Talking from Human-Computer Interaction point of view, the process will put people off and wouldn't be appropriate as it might seem like an invasion of privacy. Many people won't feel comfortable.

Although this is great for reducing the population double account in circulation but personally it will be troublesome. even if it should use the video call will certainly make the longer in the process of distributing and even still many other constraints such as time to do it. If my customers to know the sense of personal identity is simply enough.

KYC through Video is already happening by some ICOs, they will not make a video call to you. I joined one ICO that requires a user to upload their identity documents, utility bill or bank statement for residence verification & also the user has to record his video by only showing his face. And face recognition video was done internally within the dashboard of the ICO there was no third party app for recording the video, your internal webcam will be turned on as soon as you grant permission to record.

Well, here many can not get a photo kyc and you need a video. I would not like to talk to the video call managers, I do not understand, and they will not understand me. But somewhere I have already heard this, but I don’t remember in which ico it looked like or in some kind of exchange. The people will not approve such an idea, and it is expensive too.

I think that could be, as long as the team has extra time and costs for it. and there is a client who doesn't want a method like that

Video call verification has been widely used in many fields. Compared with traditional KYC, video call verification is difficult to fake, because people who audit video calls can ask different questions at any time, even the most intelligent software will unable to respond.

I think that video call is the best way for KYC procedure. And it will be required in all project soon, I think. There is so many applications for that purpose, like Skype, Facetime, Hangout, so there is not a problem.

I think it will takes a lot of time for a video call KYC verification to the volume of participants but it will carry on and it is also hustle for the ICO investors that want instant access to the project but when it is fully implemented then we have to follow.

actually it's better to make KYC verification through video calls because our data cannot be stolen by others, if the application that suits me is skype and telegram because I used it for video calls but not for KYC.

I dont think it will be a feasible idea to do as the verification will be quite messy and time consuming. It is better to ask for a valid government identity card or passport for KYC.

I've heard about it somewhere. I think that this is acceptable for big investors who operate with 100000$ +, but to demand a video call verification with a schoolboy who wants to invest 50-100$ is some kind of insanity and idiocy. What next they come up with, take a DNA sample live to confirm identity?

if there is someone who uses the video for kyc, surely only some people will use it,
because not everyone is fluent in English, and only certain people.

Video call for kyc verification?? Is it possible? Do you think it is the best way , rather than uploading your documents for kyc verification process? Most bounty campaigns and ICOs nowadays required a kyc.

If video call for Kyc verification is possible, what is the best and secure app to you use for video call

I recently made a video verification in a payment software ( I'll not say which one). But I can say that it's not so scary as it seems. Maybe the biggest companies will soon introduce this kind of verification procedure. Especially bookmakers, online casinos etc.

Sometimes there are thousands of participants, so they will have to add more manpower to do that and we must remember some investors and bounty hunters are on different time zone, they have to adjust their time settings and time zone to accommodate them.

All these people saying making use of video call would be a good idea, you’re all so dumb a**. How can you be thinking such? Do you know how many people’s signs up on a particular site in a day, take for example Binance? How many employees do you think they have that’s enough to go through using a video call for a KYC. This is a so dumb idea. What’s difficult in simply taking a photo of your documents and uploading them to the site for verification?

It is an interesting way to pass KYC, but I think it will take a lot of time. The fastest way is to make selfie with your documents and sent the photo of these docs to the verificator.

For that ideas for verifying ones selves on a certain project, I see the transparency brings ample trust towards the project devs and the participants. The honesty and legitimacy of each and every participants should be observed so far, because more fraudsters now is likely to scam other investors.

I think video calls make sense for KYC, rather than personal data that seems to require more time to process. But it needs to be remembered that all also require a process that takes more time.
