I already pass the KYC with a Video call. There is a third party company, that are providing the KYC verifications via Skype. It is pretty simple and does not take much time. Everything was finished with a bit more than five minutes. Much easier than scanning your docs etc.
So you have an experience about the video call for KYC verification, that's nice to hear that like it. But I think it's not necessary to video call for KYC it's better to pass documents.

Yes. I think it could work but it will take a lot of time before the KYC process is finished. Time can be an issue here and it can prolong the process instead of making it simple. If you don't trust the project, then there is no need for you to invest or work for bounty. From what I know, KYC is needed because the banks want to know who are the token holders. It also filter duplicate accounts for bounty so I am OK with it because I only use one account.

I think video call for KYC verification isn't necessary for bounty participants, I.D is enough to verified. Imagine if you are bounty participant and you make a video call, it's hassle, right? Especially for social media campaign that had a low rewards.

Not going to happen. KYC is needed for verification purposes and you submit whatever documents to the ICO promoter. Your identity needs to be verified not by the ICO promoter but by the government. They hold on to these documents forever on a hard drive and can be accessed at any time. If they do video with no document upload they would have no way of knowing who you actually are. KYC is nothing but them covering their bases. Uploading video files or having a live video verification system would mean they would need to hire more people to process this and it would also incur more storage costs since these files would need to be held indefinitely.
AN easier process would be nice, but it's not going to be video.
Once I went through KYC via video link and I liked this method more than uploading documents, for the reason that I showed my documents to the camera, and not downloaded them somewhere, I used Viber and it worked for me!
as long as it's not troublesome to say it's not tried. lately many have complained about verifying kyc using personal documents, maybe this is one solution. the advantage with verification using video calls is that we can also find out directly who the team is behind the project. we can also give direct questions if there are people who are not understood.
Doing video call for KYC I think is a very hassle thing to do. If you have a thousand persons to verify then it will take a lot of time. I think document verification is enough.

The document verification can be manipulated. But I will agree if this KYC verification should be applied for the ico team. Use video call as KYC verification will take a lot of time and effort. We have already applied another way for that just like sign a massage on your photo that explained if that is you.

Video Call KYC Verification is not possible, it takes more time than the usual, takes more manpower to cater all participants of the KYC and unnecessary for old KYC is great, even though KYC at the moment is not yet regulated that privacy might be an issue. And for the secure app, none? It would risk more participants rather than the usual one which just takes you to submit your photos.
I am thinking how that is going to work, if it is what i am thinking then it means the ICO team will have to attend to every ICO investor video call and bounty hunters as well? Video call for KYC in my own opinion is not achievable.
That is a lot of work. There are assessments before approving someone's KYC and what the company wants I think is documents, you cannot present videos on the bank.
Video Call for KYC verification is possible, but you still need to upload your document and doing a video call verification, I've tried once before, that's a crypto exchange, they decided don't serve my country customer and want me pass the KYC + Video Call verification to withdrawal my assets, so it's won't let you easy pass the KYC , even more troublesome doing one more step
indeed, with kyc video call, it would be better than having to upload personal data, but maybe that would be ruled out by an ico's development team because it would take a long time compared to kyc that requires personal data. so just let the development team from ico decide what kyc should do.
Video calls are good, but they are quiet long. It takes about 20-30 minutes to pass KYC, you will speak with an operator and he will tell you what he needs to approve your KYC.
I think video calling for KYC verification is a very dangerous thing. If the other party is a scammers or other criminal, the video call means that the other party has seen you, and your true identity (including appearance) is all exposed to the eyes of the criminals, who may use this information to do anything in the future.

This is only method to make sure user are not bot and have positive mindset/ action about the project, ICO just want the real audiences. As member/ user can get their payment/ services I think everything will be fine, just follow it. Mostly, every develop team already prepare what should we do to finish video call for KYC, no big deal.
Doesn't the regular data sending are enough for the KYC, or this means that we won't need to sent any more of our personal ID for the KYC, and just simple dong a video call for the KYC?
I think it is good attempt for verification and documents are also not required for it but do they have enough time to do this it will take lots of time to call every participant and it is also not possible for every person also I don't think so they will think about it.
