We live in a globalised technocracy where people have been reduced to nothing more than economic units. Voting legitimises an illegitimate system. Don't go out to vote in their little charade. Have some dignity. Don't contribute to the tryanny of modern governance systems.

I don't really get the main point you are trying to convey because anybody that says that people should not exercise there franchise to vote the right person is obviously making a very big mistake, we know that most countries based on corruption they have failed there citizens and in most cases even after voting they would not allow the people to make there choice instead they would rigged the election, so truly we know that is every common in some places even were I come from but however in as much as those things are very common in most places doesn't mean that every other countries are like that because we know that there are countries that has a very good system of government so don't generalize it.

Most people are too dumb to vote correctly, so most people should stay home and let smart people make decisions for them. The people of the USA have voted for a demented potato and they are going to vote for that same demented potato again because they themselves have cognitive limitations (especially the people who went to college; college is a f@#$ing scam that causes people to lose their minds). Most people in the USA are too f@#$ing fat and stupid to know about alternative voting systems such as instant runoff voting and why such alternative voting systems are needed.

Your statement shows that you are bitter and upset with your country's voting system. But the vote cannot legalize the illegal until all the people of the country are corrupt. Only then can illegal things be legalized by voting. But as a conscious citizen of a country we have to realize our due rights. And for this I think that by bringing transparency in the voting system, it is possible to resist all the illegal things in the country and for this we should be aware of all our rights and be vocal in getting them.

If you are a citizen of a likes of Russia or NK, then sure, i understand, but bringing technocrazy to this makes me think you are just trolling. You know that you never were obligated to vote? You sound bitter but no one made you do it. And stop blaming others if you feel like a tiny gog in the system.

Using technocracy as an insult is hilarious. You really think that experts shouldn't be consulted about important decisions? And that common sense somehow beats expert's life work? I guess you don't need math to calculate national budget or a orbital trajectories either, or to be a doctor to do a brain surgery, because skills aren't that really that important?

Imagine building anything sustainable without knowing anything about the subject. How could a country that doesn't consult their experts ever compete with another developed country?

While i definitely defend your right to vote, it sounds like you would vote the opposite that i want so i definitely try to convice you to vote.
However i am definitely voting.
you sound like you would like to be a politician one day. you probably have a napoleon complex

Every contract or agreement you have is a person of yours. See the 4th Amendment.

Be the woman or man that you are, and have a voting contract so that you don't vote when you do, but your voting person does.

All the activities that are taking place in the current politics do not match the politics of the past. Because now the law is made according to their own will, but if a person protests against it, a charge sheet is definitely prepared against him. Where the punishment is death as the maximum, no one takes any action against any polity for fear of it, so only those in power remain in power at present. That's why no person has to be elected by voting, they are winning themselves by misusing their power, this is the condition of the top politicians of my country.

Will refusing to vote during elections make things better?Refusing to vote will only make the system even worse, it will help promote an illegitimate system where those who are there to rule the people will be accountable to no one because they were placed there by no one. This is the only chance the people have to correct their wrongs, so it's better they exercise their civic duty of voting during elections.
And does voting make things better? There isn't a worst or less worse alternative. All of them are the same bullshit... People keep voting every 2 years of their lives and only see things getting worse and worse. So why should anyone continue doing this? It's actually insanity...

Between the legitimacy given to corrupt leaders by the majority of a dumb or equally corrupt population is the same as an illegitimate government placed there by no one.

I have always said it, the reason these political leaders maltreat their subjects and forget in a hurry all their campaign promises is because the masses gave them the room to act the way they do. What do you expect from a political leader who bribed his way into office and who did he bribe? Still the same masses who complain every day about bad leadership. Until the masses learn to do the right thing, the same people whom they voted into office won't stop neglecting them.
And the masses will continue acting exactly like that. It has been like this since the beginning of this world. Remember that between Jesus and Barabbas, the crowds chose the outlaw prisioner and delivered Jesus to the death.

That is why each person has to take care their own lives and forget about fixing the problems of the world, which are out of our personal control.

Voting is insane. Why would anyone elect a guardian to command his life. Only insane people have a guardian.

But even if you don't vote , can you change anything? Can you overthrow the government or eliminate them? No , you can't do anything and you will still end up being managed and controlled by the government even if you don't vote. If you vote instead, at least you are giving your country a chance to choose a better leader to change your country for the better.

I know the evil and badness of politics but don't forget that we live in a centralized world and the government is the one who controls everything, whether we like it or not it happens and we cannot change that . In this case , we have no other choice.

I have heard of many people refusing to vote because of the system but I think it is even more harmful to not vote. At least when you vote you are given a chance to make a difference and not just let the evil take over. You are basically making their jobs easier by not voting and trying to go against what you call tyranny. I often think  that people who are not directly oppressed and are privileged are the ones who do not want to vote.

If you know what it feels like to be on the shorter end of the stick then you would know better than to not vote

Let me flow in a bit line with you OP... Yeah, it really feeds bad that the masses will be endivoired to vote their rightful candidates but to an extend due to political structures the majority of voters does not have their voted candidate the winner. That is underrating the voters or masses entirely.

Secondly either who is the peoples choice or whoever that occupies the winning positions, when they resumes offices, they do not prioritize their governance based on the actual need of the people instead, they government is the people made of the masses is being ruined and government based on their various political interests.

This actually has become trending in the political governing system which its advancement is leading to more frightening and corruptions that the world is only advancing up to technologically where the governments spends more money to produce unnecessary technologies such as weapons, malicious software programs and then, they expects and designs crisis in advance by themselves and then, let the masses befalls the victims yet, all for selfish interests. Instead of focusing more on the peoples need such as education, economy good health and other necessary infrastructures.

They typically infects the peoples minds with evil doings such as the the bridge of love and unity all just for what the dirty games of the politics demands.

But yet OP, we can not vulnerably submit to them like that. There is still hope that the world would be a better place as much not everyone is corrupted even though the system of the governance is.
We just have to participate on our best until the right candidate resumes the governing positions and make the world a better place for everyone and only when our votes counts and the rightful candidate (s)  emerges winner then we can achieve the massive World instead of a political world.
So, never give up in the voting system because it is not an option. We just have to keep trying over and over until our expectations are achieved. It is just matter of time.

^^^ Right. You vote them in. Then they do what they want.

Cool

If they do, then one is supposed to vote them out and put someone who actually does a good work in their place instead. That is how democracy is supposed to work, at least in paper.
But in countries like the United States, there is a duopoly over the political power and the state, people do not have a choice but  to vote of one of the big political parties which rule over the whole country, that is not healthy for democracy and keeping the will of the people.
If the rest of the parties in the country had more spotlight and managed to break the duopoly of the democrat and republican party, it would be good. So those politicians would not take their jobs for granted and would care for actually doing the people's bidding, instead pleasing big corporations and donors.

think about it. in the upcoming US election if every single citizen refused to vote, the system would collapse. a societal conversation around a better way of governance would have to happen. a mad max situation would not happen. if people are really discontent and really are genuine about wanting change then refusing to vote is the best way to make change happen. continuing to vote makes the elites very happy. that why they roll out these huge propaganda campaigns with everyone's favourite celebrities to encourage people to vote. Even putin wants people in Russia to go out to vote. he gives them three days of national holiday at voting time to encourage them to vote
