I tried to buy in yesterday, but Good Guy Coinbase restricted my account and prevented me from buying in before the announcement.

Fully prepared to eat my words here, but I'd say the dumping on Gox is probably just about over.

Well done to those that shorted BTC on the Gox news. Seems like an easy call in retrospect.

In the meantime: why is the BitcoinBuilder exchange rate ~0.5 while the true Gox/Stamp ratio is more like 0.2? Not that I'm complaining, since I bought in around 0.55, but that doesn't make sense. I thought people were able to arb through OKPay?

Good news is that sooner or latter he'll get punished. For some reason I imagine him behind the bars, this is where he belongs. Do you think there is a chance that he's someones pupet? It not a joke to play with millions and leave so many people angry.
Anyway, another problem - btc price is going down. Could we focus on that and do something?

Doesn't it seem peculiar all the recent exchange difficulties, sudden rise of malleability attacks everywhere when problem was known about for some time, DDoS attacks, phishing scams-STAMP mentioned today, other hacks, fud, poorly founded newses, real but negative newses dripping out almost daily, heavy duty trolling, etc all from multiple angles happening all about at the same time?  Somehow coordinated?

Connections with MtGox/Silk Rd coins and FBI rumors of selling all those btc, heavy hands, and MtGox just so happens to be crippled right now when all this is happening? Maybe they were the easiest/best target.  It seems relatively easier to cause problems with tech on exchanges, much hardr to cause problems with btc protocol itself, otherwise we'd see that already.

Possible motivation to drop btc prices for planners to buy in cheap.  Smells like Wall Street SOP.  Not a conspiracy theory type, just a noob ( 2 months) here  trying to see the bigger picture.  Most of you have been here a long while , have you seen so many attacks coming from so many places all at once in BTC?  Of course all my speculation.  Worst-case is someone trying to destroy btc because its a threat to  Status Quo, but would think the aristocrats need to make more boatloads of money in btc before doing that.  I'm probably just crazy.
