May be it's a scam, may be not. Too early to make an evaluation.
But I'm very sorry I didn't partecipate to its airdrop this summer...

Not a scam. the project is complete. they are on week 37 of airdrops, and have delivered each one. Nothing here is scammy in the least.

So all of this topic has wrong informations? Many investors think this project is scam. Some documents that we can see as proof are also on the topic. It is not a trusting investment even if it is not scam Wink

This coin is legit, the topic was created long time ago, over the last 6 months DeepOnion has more than proven to be a good coin with great development and a dedicated community
You are right. Also want to add, that project which copied DeepOnion structure, Fome, was scammed very fast, less in one month. So let's not make premature and unconfirmed conclusions.

As for me its not a scam. Community is well organized  i think and have an excellent orientation. Unlike other developer, they keep their promises and reward their supporters. Its pleasant to be in their community, and u know that ur question will be always kindly response.

Not only a scam, an annoying scam, they have all those shills spamming the forum with useless topics just trying to pump their coin.

Right, and because of that shit the forum rules has been changed (Giveaway threads are not allowed) Now any "Airdrop" thread will be send to trash can straight away.

Just because they might be faking airdrops doesn't mean their whole project is faux. of course, it's not a good sign and i'm not defending them but you never know.

Well if you call DeepOnion a scam then everything is a scam. Every coin in Crypto world is a scam and people should be careful about what they are doing and where they are investing their hard earned money. Personally, I do not think this is a scam because they have been doing just great and is delivering as per plan. We have other projects where people get nothing in terms of development and still they buy it and no one calls them a scam and I do not know why.

So let's focus on something constructive than just spreading FUD all over the place.

If this coin is a scam do you think those people who post good things in deeponion will still do it? Deeponion have proven to there loyal supporters that they are worthy of the praises they receive from those netizens. We can't control those people expressing gratitude to deeponion because deeponion is really worthy of it.

Well I believe DeepOnion is technically way better than all other privacy coins. Lots of unique features, constant development and improvement with wallet software updates coming out on a regular basis. Lots of communication from the team.  Yes, this coin has a premine but these are distributed to the community by airdrop to the ones who are willing to participate. This was clear from the beginning. There are tons of coins out there with a premine.

I don't think this is a scam at all.  I think 95% of all ICO's, if not all of them are the real scams. Most ICO's have nothing more than a token that does nothing really. A token that is used simply for collecting money from people that will start speculating on a rise of price of the token when a company tweets that they are announcing an announcement that will happen in the near future.

So a unique coin with a massive community, that is totally private, that you can mine and/or stake with it's own blockchain is worth way more than a simple ERC20 token that you cannot mine or do anything else with. Today there are a total of 48178 Erc20 Token contracts according to Etherscan.io

So no, DeepOnion I think is NOT A SCAM, but hey that's my opinion. I'm collecting this one. After the airdrop period ends this coin will be allowed to be listed on the bigger exchanges since most exchanges never list coins in airdrop-phase because of changing circulation of coins. I hope this coin will do well this year. We will find out. I'm excited for this one

Hm.. I think we should primary wait till airdrop rounds will be comletely finished. See how the coin behaves in comparison with other coins..
And only after that start making any conclusions. For now all of these is only IMHO each of us.
I'm not sure that Onion is such big scam..

Does this project have any deadline for completion? To find out for sure whether it's a scam or not?

i have no idea if deeponion is a scam or ponzi, but what worries me is the censorship in their topic. they have flagged and deleted 10 of my replies which were neither rude or innappropriate. i was simply critical of this coin and gave my opnion. within minutes my replies were gone.
the replies in that topic are so hyped and over the top, that i no longer have any doubt that its a bunch of spammers looking to hype up the entire thing.

Wow this is the most boring thread in the world. Newsflash, no-one cares. It's a successful project that is re-distributing the premine back to the community.
If staking the premine also goes back to the community then this doesn't bother me, it'll just be new investors loosing out a fraction on staking rewards.
I trust this project because so far they have completed 34 weeks of airdrops without an exit scam. That's a long time compared to other projects.
By Week 40 all premine allocated for airdrop will have been distributed after a successful campaign(*). You still going to complain then?

Edit: 2 years later! Post modified with (*) to provide evidence of claim, otherwise unchanged. See original archive (2019) and pre-archive (2020) for verification.
