For me personally i think It was the most productive year since it was so natural to acquire 1,000 percent benefit with pretty much every ICO or altcoin that was out now unlike now that almost all new projects are scams . And Presently, there are some profits, however it is truly difficult to anticipate which coin will actually goto the moon. Right now, we presently don't see such increments on the new DeFi coins and hopefully that would change soon

That year is one of a kind in history of cryptocurrency. Many people got benefited and many lives changed because of that massive and huge market price increase. For me, for now 2017 is the golden year of cryptocurrency but I am seeing some possibility that year 2021-2022 we will have another golden year for crypto.

And we're looking at technology here, not just some matter that won't constantly evolve every year, if internet and the web evolves, so does cryptocurrency, not only Bitcoin but the market itself continues to evolve, you can't say that 2017 was the golden year when in fact cryptocurrency is just getting started to reach its potential level.

I guess we can say that 2021, has started to be a Golden Year of crypto already, and so far we have seen good results, bitcoin breaking new all time high, and some solid alt coins also established their highs.

So let's see how far 2021 will take us, bitcoin was projected to crossed 6 digits this year, DeFi, NFT, staking is going to be big as well for alt coin market.

2021 has been crypto's best year yet. Still, I still believe 2017 is the "Golden Year of Crypto" because it was a time when crypto/Blockchain tech finally hit mainstream adoption. It was the "starting point" for crypto as it became recognized by many people worldwide. My guess is that each Bitcoin halving will have a very positive effect over most cryptocurrency's prices on the market. 2021's surge is mostly attributed to the Bitcoin halving of May 2020. Who knows if 2025 becomes even bigger than 2021 for the crypto/Blockchain industry?

Nonetheless, the ever-rising popularity of crypto/Blockchain tech tells us that it's here to stay. There will be times where everything is reds and roses. But there will be times where everything goes bleak, leaving you desperate in the short term. It's always important to take advantage of the hype surrounding the market at certain times, in order to secure your financial future. Once everything goes down the drain, you'll be able to buy more coins at cheap prices to stack them up for the future. No matter which year it is, crypto will stand the test of time as a decentralized version of Fiat in the mainstream world. Just my opinion Smiley

I must say 2017 was a great great year for cryptocurrencies because many people started to know about bitcoin and then learn much more about blockchain and found alt coin. The new adopters came because of the popularity of bitcoin at that time and like you said, the bear season then came. But apparently, crypto world still last, even grow, DeFi as evidence were succeed to make cryptocurrencies sounds again. I believe crypto world still has many great things beneath their sleeves in years ahead, try to be optimist this year would be the year when crypto rise up.

So right now, 2017 was not to be considered the "golden year of crypto" if we will compare it this year. This year, we experienced the new ATH and breaking the records of the decade old history of bitcoin. Not only the price that we are talking here, but the adoption it is gaining from the market. Look at the big players finally joining the crypto market, PayPal, Tesla, Grayscale, MicroStrategy, and so on. I believe, a lot more companies will integrate crypto in their payment system very soon. If we compare what bitcoin has achieved today from year 2017. We can say, it has come a long way already.

Now there is almost a repeat of 2017.  It is quite possible that at the end of 2021 we will see the same powerful alt season that was at the end of 2017.  We all hope so.
many have compared the year 2021 to 2017, of course if events or history repeat itself then Bitcoin at the end of the year will be $ 100k !, but we don't know how certain that future is, the most important thing is not to be careless to buy Bitcoin, because The price of Bitcoin has experienced a high increase, from $ 3800 to $ 58k, so be careful if you want to invest at this level.

2017 was a great year no doubt, but i believe it wont compare to the kind of years that are still to come in the crypto space. We are beginning to see the start of mass adoption of the DeFi and coin market cap increment fundamentally. I accept that the BTC and other crypto prices will rise once more, however nobody knows when. Well nobody truly knows except for im still hopeful that it wont be long and we'll see another positively trending market once more.

After this year and what Bitcoin has achieved and keeps achieving this year, I don't think people will remember 2017 it's going to be a thing of the past and people will remember all milestone of Bitcoin has achieved this year our golden year so far is still in the making, so it could be this year or next year.

We will never go back to 2017 and will not see the same scenario again. In 2017 altcoins season, there are a lot of scam projects that pumped, and I think it will not anymore happen this coming altcoin season as investors are smarter and they would not easily invest on coins without researching.

Also, the ICO craze is over, and this De-Fi thing is not as big as the ICO craze.

Of course, 2017 is the golden time of crypto. BTC as well as all Alt tokens and a lot of hype. However 2018, 2019 was a very bad time for crypto. 2020 has been improved a lot. BTC is returning to its previous pace. According to other coins are not being improved in that way. I am skeptical about whether we will get a year like 2017 or not.

2017 has set the gold standard.

2020 is the new golden year. Bitcoin has reached another milestone with a new all time high. Ethereum is around $700++ and the market valuation has grown tremendous as well. But I do agree that we should look at 2021 as the best yet to come. This bull run is not yet done, it will continue up to 2021 and we really don't know what will be the ceiling of any coins, specially the top ten altcoins.

We could say that 2017 was the year when crypto/Blockchain tech went mainstream. It was a pivotal year filled with excitement at every level. Development for this emerging industry increased by a large rate. We saw new projects emerge like there was no tomorrow. Some projects are still alive, while others went all the way down the drain. 2017 marked a new beginning for the decentralized economy, becoming the gold standard of what's best to come in the future.

Now that 2020 ended with a bullish crypto market, it seems to me that 2021 will become crypto's biggest year yet. For the first time ever, the crypto market is valued at trillions of dollars (USD), as demand increases like skyrocket. It would be wise to "hodl" major cryptocurrencies in order to secure big profits at the right time. With new and exciting things bound to happen soon (ETH 2.0, Sharding, new "De-Fi" projects, and more), the upcoming years will be even better than 2017 ever was. Just my thoughts Grin

I think many people think that 2017 is the best year for crypto. That's because mass pumping was between bitcoin and altcoin, and also ICOs were still very popular at that time. in 2020, or early 2021, the bitcoin price may be higher than 2017, but for altcoins, it is still not that good, and also the projects this year are not as good as in 2017.

yes 2017 is a golden year because at that time we very easily made a lot of money by joining airdrops, bounties and ICOs. i do remember the madness at that time especially in the altcoins and i also think there will be no such gold again, it all ends and new trends will keep appearing every year

I might say that 2017 was a not to be forgotten year for the cryptocurrency history. Alot of us made big profits during the ICO season and during the bull run. I think that there will be other seasons just like the past happening but it will be risky for sure, just be careful dealing with the crypto assets now and only invest what you can afford to lose.

Couldn't agree more with you, mate. One thing for sure, is that Crypto/Blockchain tech still has a long way to go before it becomes fully adopted by people in the mainstream world. There are a lot of hurdles/obstacles that crypto needs to overcome in order to become recognized by the majority of people worldwide. Once institutional investors come into play, things will become interesting for the whole crypto/Blockchain space. There needs to be a proper regulatory framework in order to give crypto that level of legitimacy it deserves. Only then, money will start pouring into the crypto market leading to higher liquidity over the long term. 2017's price frenzy is only the tip of the iceberg, as the future holds many exciting things for the industry.

Now that Bitcoin has finally surpassed its ATH of $20k per coin, the best is yet to come. I have a feeling that 2021 will become crypto's biggest year yet, as the whole market goes all the way to the moon. Bitcoin and all other major cryptocurrencies will continue to experience an upward trend in price within a short amount of time. It's best to be prepared for the worst by accumulating profits as much as you can. Once the bear market returns, you'll be able to buy more coins at cheaper price. No matter what crypto's prices will be in the future, there's no denying that the whole crypto/Blockchain space will improve for the better. Constant development and innovation will make this possible. As long as crypto is useful for the world, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts Grin

But anything can happen. Who knows what will happen in future.
Let's  hope for the best.

Yes, I think 2017 was the golden year of crypto. After all, we saw that many coins could increase so high, especially bitcoin, at least temporarily because we don't know if there will be another golden year for crypto. But that was the biggest jump for bitcoin to touch that price because we never imagine seeing bitcoin can touch almost $20k.

I am sure that there will be another golden year of crypto, and it will happen in the future, but we need to be patient. We will see the next golden year soon because bitcoin has the opportunity to touch the new ATH in the next coming bull run.

Yes,you are right. I am agree with your post. 2017 was the most successful year of crypto. That's why 2017 was called the golden year of crypto.
