I think feeling bad or disappointed when the result of the match you bet on turns out to be a loss is a natural feeling experienced by a gambler, as long as it is not too excessive, and as long as the feeling arises not because you lost money but because the team you favored in a match lost.
That is why bet only what we can afford to lose. Losing is painful and even more when you're watching the game. The fun losses at that part because emotional impact is bigger than the enjoyment you're having by watching the games. Losing for both ends while witnessing your money go away is hard to bear and accept.

It is always best to use your spare money when it comes to gambling. There is no assurance of anything when it comes to these games of luck. Don't promise or anything to anyone as you will just put yourself into a tight spot.

Your game will only be fun if you are using your spare money. The fun goes away when you are losing and you just borrowed the money from someone else.
That is right. Your games will only be enjoyable if you have considered it from the very beginning that you're only there to have fun. Whether you have a bet or none. And never do something crazy like borrowing money just to place bets. That will never work, you're going into cycles or repetitive actions such as that when you have done it for the first time and you have came up with losses unexpectedly.

I think it would all depend on each person, I personally enjoy watching the process rather than just seeing the result, but there are also some who doesn't have the time to just watch it since they have other things to do.

I thought the watching part is the fun part, big you ain't enjoying the game that means the person only doing it just earn extra bucks not for fun . Because those who are more of fun in gambling, usually watch the game while they hope for the best . To me I think staking money make the game more fun for some folks when they are watching it game at same time it can make the match more tense that usual because there's money on the line .

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
It's very possible for a gambler to bet on several games for fun, and only decide to watch that which is his or her favorite of them all, or better still, don't watch any of the games.
Depends on what you call a "long ticket". I personally describe a ticket that has games from uncommon leagues like the Scottish premiership, the German premiership etc... Most of those games are extendable and can play through 4-6 days or more.

Quote
But overall, I do not think any body will bet on a sports game simply for fun, it's not possible because, at the end of the day, the gambler will want the team he or she placed bet on, to win, not just for the love he or she has for that team or club, but so also he or she doesn't lose his or her money.
Now, what you said here doesn't validate your games... You only wish it were possible, but you'd still have to wait for the reality at the end, which may or may not be to your favour.
Do people pay for subscriptions just to watch these league games that are quite uninteresting? I can't remember the last time I watched games in the Nigerian premiership, but that doesn't mean I can't wager on them if I feel like.

This discussion is mostly about sporting events, for instance, football.

Do you consider gamblers who bet on fewer games that they can watch to be gambling more for fun than to make money?

My answer
It is a yes for me, because fun is not just in betting on these games, but following up with these games by watching them contributes to the fun you intend to have. If you bet on so many games across many leagues that have kick-off times clashing, then you are obviously betting with more intention to make money than have fun because there is no way you are going to watch all these games at the same time.

What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?
Well, it's likely not possible that some one with a long betting slip will be gambling for fun, but there is also no guarantee or assurance that the gambler who bets on only one game he or she can watch to be gambling for fun.

Anybody can decide to gamble for fun is they so please or want to, and it doesn't really matter how many sports matched he or she decides to throw money on.

As simple as that, if you use spare money it won't affect you that much though in the fun side of it there's always something inside when you win a bet while watching the game, it gave a feeling of fulfillment that kind of desire when placing your bet and watching it, once you win you feel that you are expert in that venue,

though it adds up to your lust to keep playing you need self control on this kind of matter for you to maintain using spare money and allow yourself to accept defeats when the outcome did not went according to your expectation.
What you said about winning makes us feel like an expert is absolutely right, because many players think they are geniuses of the game, although the game they won is one step away from failure. I never think that I am a genius, because these feelings allow many to think that this money was easy for them. Moreover, remaining modest in betting is what allows you not to experience strong emotions and calmly accept losses without inflated expectations.

We will feel the interest ourselves when watching a match that is indeed interesting, for example with the match between two strong teams or one strong team. In my opinion, it is not wrong because we ourselves must have a sense of interest that is felt in something, For people who are easily interested I think they will bet on the possibility of many matches even though the matches are broadcast at the same time whose goal is to seek profit not for fun. Someone who bets for fun will not bet on more than one match, especially if the broadcast time is the same. I think people who aim for fun will only choose one match and place a bet. In addition, using spare money or not, we must still be able to control ourselves, just as with the goal of fun, self-control must still exist.

Watching the game wouldn't make any immediate difference, rather it could worsen a gambler's feeling when losing the game. On the other hand, its only very fun, if the teams are playing well, and the viewer seeing he'd win money could be jubilating along with other fans. But, it's preferable to watch the highlights of every prospective team before wagering money on them, than experiencing their mistakes after the bet has been placed - that could be annoying.

Using spare money that we don't use for anything for gambling is always recommended. That will not makes us meet a problem when we want to buy something we needed. That will also work for the games you bet and you want to watch the games because when your team lose, you will not lose too much money. You can act normally without regret of your losing because you know that gambling have the risks of losing the money.

Believe it or not it's much easier to gamble on a game you watching than one which is just based on predefined numbers by the bookies...so it's not just the fun, it's also about ensuring you get paid that money.

Take for example the Manchester United Vs Tottenham game, Utd were considered as the favourites of the game before kickoff but when the real game started on the pitch you could see Spurs were the better team and easily conclude Tottenham would win and back them, and it became even more clear after the Bruno send off..so it's not just the fun, you have better chances to tell which team gets to win!!!

What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?
The second a bet slip has more than 5teams , then it all become gambling and you wont talk about fun here as you want luck to be on your side.

Basically I would say that in my opinion in any type of game especially sports betting the most important thing you should limit is the amount of money you bet and also your expectations of winning, such as what you do where you only bet with the amount you can afford to lose, and the benefits of both of these things are quite large where you will not feel upset because of losing money and also you will not feel upset when it turns out that the team you previously favored loses, because after all anything unexpected is very possible to happen on the field even if for example you choose a team that is statistically superior.
We are just humans on which it will really be just that normal that its something that we would really be able to feel out or the emotions that kicks in. Whenever we do lose up money on whatever chances or conditions that you are into then you would really be getting pissed or frustrated. There's no fun on losing money and it would really be just normal reaction to have. Gambling should really be that for fun and not for making money because on the time or moment that you would be finding yourself on a status on which aiming for money then you will really be finding yourself having that kind of pursuing on making up some winning and even if it means that you have lost it all, then you would really be that trying to make more deposits just because you havent been able to achieve on what you do have in mind.

True, and of course no one will ever feel completely okay when they lose money including in gambling, but as I said before that do not let the feeling happen excessively, meaning that this is why from the beginning we must know and understand the risks first before we get involved, make sure that you are not a loser who only wants to win but is not ready for the risk of losing.

Another thing as you said that gambling should not be used as a place to make money, anything that cannot be predicted can never be used as a place to produce, and in addition the risk of losing will always be a possibility that will continue to lurk you every time you run a session. On the other hand we can see about the fate of gamblers who make gambling a place to make money, in the end addiction is something they will definitely experience and we can see that most of them experience a lot of setbacks.

So if you focus on this type of mindset, and you chose to bet a lot for the sake of money-making, then you are doing the wrong way.  Betting needs also deep studies and analysis so that the rate of success will increase, but if you focus more on money-making even with less understanding on your bet, most likely you will end up losing your bet, and lose your hard-earned money.

I guess that part is kinda twisted. Most times we say we gamble for the fun and entertainment. Yea tru though but then it's mostly because of the profits we get or loss after our gambling sessions. When we place bets sometimes, we just have to watch the games till the final second. Though it's not necessary as it even have some health complications like heart attacks or shocks. Like someone who placed and huge amount of money on a game with full confidence but forgor it's still a game and anything can change. The game ends up cutting the ticket and losses. Such person will be shocked and frustrated for that round. So it's better to sometimes place little bets so you can monitor them without getting stressed...
It’s true that there’s no reward without a risk attached, but there’s a huge difference between taking risk and being greedy, you can’t say your gambling for fun and then end up risking way too much, and gambling with money that’s capable of causing you a heart attack or a shock, it only means you’re solely gambling for the financial benefits of the game, which is very dangerous, because when you risk too much, and eventually lose the game, you’ll be causing yourself harm, especially when the money was meant for something else.

Yeah, some of the worst cases of financial ruin are basically people that get loans and then bet with them.

Or in the case of exchanges, the CEO would be using the clients money and bet with them.

It is crazy, because I guess he could have just deposited the money into a safe savings account and get all the money. Instead he just got greedy and wanted to earn even more from money that wasn't his.

Crazy world we live in.

Would have to agree. Like 7 years ago I was playing in the championship for my fantasy football league and just when all odds were against me my last player Travis Kielce got like 40 points or something and I was over the moon!

In my opinion there is no fun if the gambler doesn't watch the games. If he is betting on many games just for the sake of the potential profit he can make, it means he is considering gambling to be a source of money and not a source of entertainment. And it's in fact a wrong approach, because besides not making any profit on long run, he isn't going to have any fun too.

Watching the game is an essential part of the sports betting activity. That is where the excitement comes from. At same time, you have to watch the games to draw your analysis and conclusions about each team. A gambler who has his predictions decided only by third party's opinions is less likely to have success on his guesses. You have to develop a personal feeling and intuition regards players and teams' performances.
First and foremost, we all gamble to find more entertainment and making money is just a bonus. But in reality, we are motivated to gamble more just to make more money, and having that entertainment becomes optional.

I totally agree, watching the games is part of the fun, persinally I enjoy watching the UFC and box match, because those are fast bets. I don't like at all betting in long events like futball, for me is crazy to watch a 3 or 4 hours game to see the result change in the las minutes like it happens in the paste superbowl.
Yeah. Like an occasional gambler like me, I would always prefer to stake on short term events that displays quick results because I do not want to keep being an expectant for too long and lastly the outcome of the game would not be to my favour.

It is best preferred to me that whatever it maybe, the result should not take too much time so that my thoughts of expectations can always settle at rest.

And another COOL side is to place live bets in the current match because after the first minutes of the game we can realize who have better ods and make a better prediction of the outcomes.
I do not bet on raffle events such as non-live events because I believe if I do not win probably the bookmakers must had manipulated my winning chances so for that I would always bet on live events and also follows them up live. Then I feel some tips of analysis against my future betting after watching and observing the strengths and loopholes of the teams especially in sports games.
