While I do agree that the pleasure of following the game is an improvement over the experience in overall betting, for many, the sheer thrill of watching and participating in football constitutes one of the biggest joys.

In a sense, when people wager on other games, they appear to be much more concerned with winning. This is especially so if they cannot watch all of the action. I feel that it is just as likely, though, that some gamblers like to make multiple wagers. Even though they may not see the whole game, for them, the suspense and the experience are pleasing, although it's even more exciting in the hopes of winning money.

It is a matter of individual taste and aesthetics.


It is true that to many people viewing, gambling turns out to be a means of raising some quick cash. And it is more important than the thrilling experience. Even the preview of your bet although you can't watch live shows that some players prioritize the belief in the outcome over the experience of watching the game.

I agree that the fun factor is tied in with winning and losing. But for others, Happiness from contentment can be a type of enjoyment themselves. Regardless of financial struggle It is interesting to consider how gambling offers different opportunities for different people. I believe the main essence of gambling is to make quick profit firstly, before the fun comes and the fun in it, is fine tuned by any wins or losses the gambler gets while gambling away.
Besides the point you made in seeing the matches as you bet, is my concern that borders on the fact that had it been there was a match within the week and you have no time to watch it, but can place a bet on it because you feel confident in your choice of win, won't you rather place your bet and watch the whole match highlight or recorded clip later?

Even if fun is a good reason to gamble, I don't think one can get addicted easily to fun that requires money to have, and that's why I believe that gambling could be fun for you while it is a job taken so seriously by others, mostly those who believe the winnings are enough to take care of their financial lapses in the moment.

If going by the way of normal expectations, gambling should be done as according to how we've seen it been helpful on us, as we all know, its not a means of making money, instead it requires for more money to be used in playing bets in other for us to be able to achieve having fun in it, now about watching the game and playing bets on live events, we should see it as what we personally have passion for and try to give an approach of making it more entertaining that as the matches proceeds, then we are also gambling alongside altogether.

I often place a bet but I don't watch the match because I have something that I need to do. I don't have a reason to makes money from gambling but I want to place a bet once I see a match that I know. But sometimes, I just visited on the casino and check on the sports especially football and see if there is something that I can do. If I see that I know the team will compete with the other team and I know how good their performance, I will place my bet and leave it with or without I watch the match. It is not difficult to place a bet with a long bet slip but that can be done if we just want to have fun and place a bet. The reason why I place a bet is because I want to spend some money in gambling and just do it for fun.

For me, no sports betting can be termed as gambling for fun, it's for the money except we deceive ourselves. The betting is not the match itself nor a video game or the casino gambling that you can have the iota of fun doing if you limit the wagering amount. Placing bets on the matches that we watch certainly gives a different sensation than not placing bets by placing bets, of course we will always pay attention to the game of the team we place bets on, and when they make ridiculous mistakes, of course it will be very disappointing and could be the result of these mistakes making us lose money in betting and it is true as you said when they bet on many teams, of course they Not only looking for entertainment but they hope that luck will be able to win the bets placed and by analyzing the team that we will bet on, of course this will be very important to get luck in the bets we place.

I agree with you on this in as much as it feels good and very fun watching games that we bet there is no possibility that one must watch all the games that we bet on, the truth is out of our numerous games that this being bet on there are those that must be of higher interest to watch than the others hence one could only consider watching the most interested games and probably watch the highlights of the other games when they are already over in order to be updated about the team performance as to this regard and that doesn't make one not actually gambling for fun as to the op assertion.

If there are many betting slips with the ambition of gambler himself, then I would call it still to make money and not for fun, for example, on weekends there are several competitions and each competition has betting slip from almost all the matches there are, then it is impossible if it is done just for fun.
People who have fun with sports betting will likely only choose few matches such as in matches of their favorite teams or big team that are popular from each League competition, moreover, those who are ambitious will be willing to spend more money with many bets because they are chasing the chances of winning and the amount of profit.
On the other hand, almost all match schedules also have similarities in the time the match starts, I personally, if there is similarity in broadcast time, prefer to watch the team I like and bet on the team that I consider to be favorite team that can provide pleasure if watch it and still provide opportunities for betting wins for satisfaction.

Just like sports bettors who come to place bets on various leagues but only watch 1 match to get the thrill of watching the match. Even though the result is losing in several bets, it is only considered a frequent occurrence and has no regrets because the main purpose is just to bet and watch the match of their favorite team.

Of course, yes. Just because you're watching a game doesn’t mean you’re gambling for fun. You can also enjoy yourself even when you’re just focused on the betting odds, similar to how a trader operates. If you apply that to gambling, where the data you analyze helps increase your chances of winning, you can definitely have fun with that. Even for me, I don’t bet on every game I watch. Sometimes I don’t even watch the game but still enjoy keeping track of the scoreboards. The definition of "having fun" runs deep, but let’s be honest, the most fun is when you actually win.

Well that's not my case, although I'm not your typical sports bettor. A couple of times I did sports betting I did it for a promotion and in the end I didn't watch the games. One of them I was interested in but I don't remember now what I was doing when the game was broadcasted that I didn't watch it.

Hmm, I think it depends? There are probably two factors I'd consider, the amount of money involved and how much that person is attached to that money. It's no surprise that the greater the amount of money involved in a bet, the more drawn you are or emotional you are towards the match. At that point, you wouldn't be enjoying the "match" itself, but rather just the result. Even an insanely great play would become a massive blow to you if it came from the opposing team.

The second factor is directly tied to the first since someone may just be that insanely rich that even if they bet big, it doesn't really matter for them that much. However, a poor person betting all their life savings in in the opossite spectrum of such a person. In general, if you bet low then I guess it can still be fun. But if you bet something to the point that "regret" comes into play, then I highly doubt it'd be one (unless you win lol).

Yes why not? Whatever the case is, a gambler should play for fun, Whether you have a long bet slip, that should not stop you from having fun, its ok to look for profit when you're betting but that does not mean that having fun should take the backseat.

I used to do this I bet on horse racing and, at the same time, bet on boxing, while I was looking to make money but it was fun doing this because of the excitement and anticipation that contributed how exciting it was it was to see the outcome, you having betting a lot.

Whatever you do in gambling, even if you're looking for money, always bring the fun so it ease you up whatever the outcome is.

In my opinion, those who bet on sports they watch are most likely to have fun, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any who aim to make money, of course there will be. However, I agree with what you said, if we make a lot of bets on different matches but at the same time or close together, the most likely goal is to make money or profit. And conversely, for those who aim to have fun, they certainly won't do that because it's impossible for them to watch all the matches that take place simultaneously.
For those who do that, they will probably only watch one match and with other matches where bets are made, they will probably just wait for the final news by seeing whether their chosen team wins or not.

To me watching the match one has betted on makes it all more fun and enhances the whole gambling/betting experience.
It is something I do, actually when the time of the World cup of football comes around I pick up the matches I feel interested in and get a moderate wager on them, when I wait for the game to start and relax while watching it.
It is even more fun than just watching for the sake of the love for the sport, having a stake on the match makes the dopamine and the thrill to increase and each goal (regardless of the side) can make us feel things which would not otherwise.
There will be people who bet on matches and yet they do not watch anything because of lack of time, to me those people are missing out the best part of loving an sport and betting on it.

It’s just as you have said it - if a gambler should go for a parlay and just try to accumulate games for different sports or same sport but different leagues then it’s obvious that they won’t have the time to watch those games and might just be doing it for the intent of making money off of it.

But there are other times when a gambler can select one or two games that they want to watch and then just add a few others to it, just to make it long and also to test if their prediction luck will work in favour of them or not. It depends on the gambler some can go for a long game and still have fun with it (not all the games though, but with few of them) while others don’t even bother to watch the game whether it is a single ticket with not game or a single ticket with multi games.
