What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?

In my case, I have bet on many games, but I have always enjoyed watching games when they involve teams that I am a fan of. I don't watch games just because I bet on them. In my opinion, the fun in sports betting is in watching a certain game and analyzing it thoroughly and predicting which team will win and which team will lose, and also being able to predict how many goals will be scored by each team. So when I analyze the games and then see the results and realize that I was right, I am very happy because I won. In my opinion, that is the fun part of sports betting. Now, when I watch games involving teams that I am a fan of, I also have fun. But I don't look at it as sports betting, I look at it as if I were watching a movie. Something that did not involve any challenge on my part.

What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?

This is hilarious I would say, tho it's fun you know watching the game you bet on there's more added fun you get cause it's not just betting on something you ain't sure of sometimes watching your favourite teams play live is an added advantage for your betting but necessarily doing this routine often can amount to things some don't usually wants.
Thing's like having to be addicted to watching live matches to follow up bets and all that and forgetting the fact that there are other things to to at the moment, I know what I'm saying cause some persons don't have discipline when it comes to sports betting and watching matches as well, they can spend the entire day in the match halls. So it's fun gambling and possible for the gambler to get this added fun but it requires discipline for oneself.
Judging from the obvious fact, most of those that gamble are not doing it for fun, so regardless whether you are a football bettors or in house game player, all is aimed at winning some extra bulk, only very few gamblers does gamble for fun, so if you see someone with a long betting slips can never be for fun and infact it could be an exhibition of possible addictions because it rear to see those with multiple games selections winning their bets because of their increase chances to lose.

It's hard to control the greed factors in most gamblers so having some form of control or decipline while gambling become almost impossible to do and at that we tend to get back to the bottom all with an attempt win something big each time.

So gambling without the aim of having fun could be out of conception, and can and will always lead to dissatisfied results.

Exactly, i know that stigma when you are checking the score line of a bet you placed and eventually sees it as a lost bet but if you are watching it live and the game is not going in your favour, before the game ends you must have pull it off from your mind except if it is a game that the outcome is determined towards the ending part of the game like the die minutes or injury time.
It's just about how a person is surprised by the unsatisfactory results that result in a person who has heart disease.

But after all, everything can also be adjusted to everyone's wishes.
Either they just want to see the scoreboard at the last minute without looking at the game or even follow the game from the beginning.

Until now, I have never heard of someone dying from being shocked by losing a bet,
but it is possible that it can happen when they make a sizable bet and lose.

Do you consider gamblers who bet on fewer games that they can watch to be gambling more for fun than to make money?
Why not?

We have to consider each of us gamblers in our own ways. You bet more? you're a gambler, you bet less - still a gambler. You watch the games you bet - you're a gambler. You don't watch the games you bet on - you're still a gambler.

Fun is subjective but losing is not fun.  Wink

Watch if you have time but never miss to have fun with the money you bet in however means you can.

Betting on more games than you can watch sounds like it would be overwhelming. I only bet on events that I am interested in and enjoy watching. People who bet on dozens on events are probably gambling professionally or it can be a rich guy who enjoys whaling. It should not be done to feed an addiction because this can lead you to financial ruin.

Or it might be someone with the mindset of getting rich quick through gambling, because why will you gamble on multiple games and the same time you saying you doing it for entertainment, to me there is no entertainment there because if one want to really gamble for entertainment he or she will just have to choose a certain game they enjoy watching and stake some money In it to make it more exciting and stuff.

Do you consider gamblers who bet on fewer games that they can watch to be gambling more for fun than to make money?

My answer
It is a yes for me, because fun is not just in betting on these games, but following up with these games by watching them contributes to the fun you intend to have. If you bet on so many games across many leagues that have kick-off times clashing, then you are obviously betting with more intention to make money than have fun because there is no way you are going to watch all these games at the same time.

What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?

To answer the last question I think it can be very entertaining for a gambler with a long bet slip to gamble for fun, I also love combining a lot of games and staking a very low amount just for fun. But watching the games you bet on comes with a lot of excitement especially when you are watching the game with a lot of people, this isn't something I do actively because I'm not really a fan of watching football. Everyone has their preference and what makes them entertained mine is just combining a lot of games and waiting patiently to see the outcome.
Watching games or a certain sport but not you are a fan of it which does proves out that you are really just that aiming for winning up money on which we are all guilty with this.
There would be people that much prefer on enjoying up the game that they do know and like and bet on the same time. If you are making multiple bets into those sports that you dont even know or interested about
then there's no point on watching it. You would really be trying out to maximize possible profits or winning which could really be achieved through parlays. Real entertainment will really be that comes after on how you would really be able to make bets into those sports or games on which you are highly knowledgeable upon specially if you do like or a solid fan then you will really be that wanting or interested on watching it live because
you will really be that loving  for them to win and of course you will be winning some money at the same time.

It's true football is fun watching the the game we bet on is supposed to be for fun too but in a chase where a gambler has a high blood pressure HBP is not really advisable to watch a game you bet on for it will be better you cheek it on flashscore.mobi or LiveScore.com which ever platform a gambler may choose to cheek his score than watching it on screen or live.
You already know that you have a history of high blood pressure, why you bet, after all, if you don't watch it live,
you don't know how the match goes and how each team performs.

I think it would be more surprising when you suddenly find out the score or result of a match that surprises when the team loses.
Watching the match live will spur adrenaline and is better than just looking at the scoreboard.
If you do find yourself having those health implications then it will really be best that you should avoid into those things that gives out that kind of spike of emotions on which staying up on to those things on which you do seem that you are comfortable with but just like on what you have said that the real essence on betting on sports is into watching it live on which you could really be able to enjoy yourself
seeing your team winning and same goes on having that adrenaline rush when the team is really that losing. The real essence of enjoyment or entertainment is really into the time or moment on seeing
the game live, but well it will really be always according into someones preference when it comes into this aspect on which we know that it will really be having that different approach into each person.

I agree with you on this because why would someone with HBP even think of gambling in the first place? more like a suicide attempt honestly because HBP is not something you attach with some kind of emotional trauma, even if the person wants to gamble for fun they should rather do other things for fun and not gambling because there is a kinda trembling feelings that comes along when a bet is lost especially a huge bet. However watching match live gives a good sense of judgement about the statistics of the teams and their players.

At least, we should also be able to realize that not everyone who bets has time to watch it. Although indeed, in this era at least watching matches can be done anywhere by subscribing to an application or related channel. But for me, people who bet with many matches also certainly have a basis for pleasure and not entirely for profit. Because of course, with so many matches played every week it will also be fun when I bet with many matches. After all, the reality is that I lose more often, but because I enjoy doing it, I keep betting again and again. So, even though I also don't watch all the matches that are played and bet on, but I feel the fun and it has been going on for quite a while too.

Reason been that a game you bet on to win is probably playing draw and you are watching it already maybe the team you bet against probably makes an attempt of scoring goal or probably scored a goal in that case such gambler with such high blood pressure sickness might definitely slump and fall. For me I don't really watch the game I bet on I just open livescores and cheek on them for peace of mind.

Yes it's fun but while the team the gambler bet on is losing there won't be fun anymore, mostly if the game he's watching is the last of all his games that will make him win a thousand box (or millions to be precise). So in this case I think that the fun is only while the team the gambler bet on is winning. However, I prefer not to watch the live games I played because I some kind of emotions, mostly when it's a huge stake (even if I can afford to lose them).

Right, the point is that it still depends on how the results will come out, no matter if for example you bet just for entertainment but if the team you bet on especially when your favorite team loses then there will definitely be disappointment that you will feel, but for gamblers who bet just for entertainment then I think the disappointment arises because the favorite team loses and not because of losing money.

That makes me think that if you see that your favorite team is going to compete then in my opinion it is better not to bet but only support the team, because there is a possibility that there are two things that can make you disappointed, namely because your favorite team loses and also because you lose money, unless statistically they are faced with a much weaker opponent.

I don't think it will be that easy for us to manage and create time for what we have no passion for, same applies to the kind of gambling games which we are playing, we are going to have the fun to the fullest by the nature of the game we are playing because that is what we are having passion for, gambling should always give us fun and we should be able to derive that same fun from it.
Most time I can't manage to watch the game I bet on because it can be mind devastating seeing the team you selected to win losing horribly. This can create a desk atmosphere even when I am with friends taking a sip of drink while watching. I would rather watches of games I never gambled on comfortably without any picnic than to follow up the games especially watching to know how everything will play out. Gambling is fun actually but one just have to have their extra mind to keep restraining from loses even when it's inevitable. The actual fun lies in having consistent winning which can be fun for every gamblers.

If you know, you know!
True entertainment can only be had by gamblers who bet on sports matches that they also watch, so if they make long betting slips, I'm not sure they are aiming for entertainment. However, in different cases, they might get fun, of course with a small betting amount, they do it just to try their luck on the analyzes they have done.
Well I think entertainment  is a vast topic and everyone might be having their different  ways of getting entertained, our people normally  say " one man's  food could be the next man's  poison" so some persons might see gambling on more games as the fun they desire. Personally I gamble on both long and short bet slips, all of which I'm  always  strict with my bet amount to make sure I don't put in too much. I've  tried several  strategy and in all, have their separate feelings. Gambling on fewer game doesn't  necessarily  mean  the gambler cannot  use that medium  to chase after loss or gambling to get rich quick. It all depends on the mindset. But its more fun when you gamble on a sport game and also stream live.

A long slip indicates that the bettor wants more money, while a slip that tends to be less indicates that the gambler doesn't really mind if they only get a small win from their bet, which is what is being discussed here. However, after the reply made by @_act_, I think we all have to agree that the fun is derived from favorable conditions or winnings on our bets.

Sports betting is not only about money, but also about getting emotions during the game, experiences and pleasant memories if we win. Therefore, it is combined and if you manage to win money, the player feels on top and in high spirits for a long period or until he loses. Everyone should remember that you will not be able to win all the time and losses will also happen, so it is important how the player can take a hit and not tilt. After all, everyone wants to win, and losses, especially several in a row, can completely deprive us of our entire deposit and the game will end. Nevertheless, sports betting is what I prefer from gambling, because it is much brighter emotions than from slots or something similar.

Sport betting only damaged the natural emotional feelings spectators had when watching games. For instance, in an Italian league game, I saw a girl weeping because her team was losing the game. Initially, such things were common, but recently, it's rare to see fans who genuinely cry over a game. Instead, gamblers now feel sad not for the outcome of the game, but for their lost money. In summary, to enjoy a match we must have a clear mind to accept how it ends, and feel for our team.
Absolutely right, I realized this over time, so the ideal solutions for me would be to bet on those matches that I don’t go to. And if I want to see great football, experience live emotions, shout, then I won’t bet on it. Still, over time, more and more players bet and fewer and fewer remain who live football or another sport, experience vivid emotions that are difficult to get in today's world. We should feel more and think less about money, of course it sounds naive, but we should at least try, otherwise everything in this world will be measured by money, and I wouldn’t want that.

The more matches you bet, the less chances you have to win them all, of course!

Some games try to lure you in with more and more prizes the more matches you want to predict.

But in the end, most people end up losing one or two matches, which destroys the whole bet.

It's a classic move by the casinos.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
Once a person has placed a bet, the thoughts of what the outcomes will be starting increasing in their mind. Unable to address them, anxiety grows and the response is to watch the game, knowing fully well that watching the game will not change the outcome of the bet.

The resulting watching session becomes full of tension and emotional outburst - it is the pent up anxiety.

Indeed it can be good if done once a month or so but bad if being done everyday. Most of the gamblers end up doing it everyday added to it the sportsbooks methods of advertising.

Moreover, those who are doing such games everyday end up wasting a lot of time on watching the game, staying up, often missing meals and family time. Again being quiet through the game by not watching it does sound a bit absurd.
