If you know, you know!
No one wants to lose while gambling or betting. The excitement comes from winning. If the match start and the team you selected to win is winning or what you selected is achieved already, you will be full of excitement and you will like to continue watching the match. But if the team that you choose is losing or what you selected did not occur in the match after several minutes, the match is not going to be exciting to you. If it is not a match from a big league, most gamblers can use it to bet but not watch it. I prefer not to watch it.

Your statement is also relevant, there was a time when I bet on Real Madrid, but they didn't perform as I expected. Even though the match had just finished the first half, there was still the second half, but I decided to go, do other activities rather than watch the match that was a waste of my time. I didn't realize from this discussion, it turns out that the most important thing is winning, which makes us happy.

Sports betting is not only about money, but also about getting emotions during the game, experiences and pleasant memories if we win. Therefore, it is combined and if you manage to win money, the player feels on top and in high spirits for a long period or until he loses. Everyone should remember that you will not be able to win all the time and losses will also happen, so it is important how the player can take a hit and not tilt. After all, everyone wants to win, and losses, especially several in a row, can completely deprive us of our entire deposit and the game will end. Nevertheless, sports betting is what I prefer from gambling, because it is much brighter emotions than from slots or something similar.

Sport betting only damaged the natural emotional feelings spectators had when watching games. For instance, in an Italian league game, I saw a girl weeping because her team was losing the game. Initially, such things were common, but recently, it's rare to see fans who genuinely cry over a game. Instead, gamblers now feel sad not for the outcome of the game, but for their lost money. In summary, to enjoy a match we must have a clear mind to accept how it ends, and feel for our team.

Do you consider gamblers who bet on fewer games that they can watch to be gambling more for fun than to make money?

Making money is actually more fun than watching the game we bet on, that's why bettors will do analysis before betting to increase their chances of winning.

What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?

I don't think so, I think it is very possible that bettors who have long betslips want to test their luck and hope to win big.

I only watch matches I bet on when the match time coincides with my free time, so it is impossible to only bet on matches that I can watch for fun.

There have been discussions on this topic and I think that you should not bet very often and only on those matches in which we are 200% sure, you should not bet just to bet, this is not right. In addition, betting on a match affects our perception of the game, many begin to dream that the team they bet on wins the match, and this deprives us of the pleasure of the match. We want them to win no matter how, and the game can be very beautiful, we may not notice this. I myself have noticed this in my perception and I have increasingly begun to refrain from betting if the match is expected to be very interesting with many excellent moments in the game.

This discussion is mostly about sporting events, for instance, football.

Do you consider gamblers who bet on fewer games that they can watch to be gambling more for fun than to make money?

My answer
It is a yes for me, because fun is not just in betting on these games, but following up with these games by watching them contributes to the fun you intend to have. If you bet on so many games across many leagues that have kick-off times clashing, then you are obviously betting with more intention to make money than have fun because there is no way you are going to watch all these games at the same time.

What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?

Concerning football matches, I think yes, you are right. I and my friends commonly watch them in the pubs over a glass of beer, We are betting on them for a small amount of money just to have fun for every goal which adds chance to win the bet, Funny, but we have an agreement that the  winner pays the drinks we are consuming  and   as I have already said in some of my post my  friends have never thought that it is such a big deal to pay for others in the case they win.
A gambler with a long bet slip can't possibly be betting for fun only. On a casual day, when you are watching the game you bet on, it is going to be fun if you didn't bet much, like you bet one dollar or two dollars on it. And you are genuinely  playing it just for fun after a long stressful work day. But if you intentionally placed a bet on a game, especially when you have the mindset of winning, it's not going to be much of a fun watching the team you bet on lose.

You are going to be getting a little bit of panic, you are going to be getting a little bit of dissatisfaction when the games you bet on lose. Also if you are betting to win, that means you won't be betting on just one game,  you'll probably be betting on more than one game, because you are definitely betting for profit.

But if you are betting with friends, to go watch the match with friends and just relax, then it's supposed to be fun watching the game. But even when betting with friends and you start getting negative feelings when your team is losing, maybe you are not the fun bet-ter. You should probably just stick to betting for profit. In summary, enjoying a game you bet on depends on you.

I gamble for fun because I prefer to gamble for fun. I lost $10 last week and that made me increased my betting amount this week to $20.
Did you feel a pang of anger or bitterness when you lost that bet? Any faintest of such feeling? If you did, it simply means there wasn't any fun in that then. Most of us think because it's money we can afford to lose that it makes it look like it's for fun. No, it's not. Nobody will intentionally place a bet to lose it. That's where my point lies.
I do not like to lose but it was like nothing happened. I was still very much happy when I lost it. If not because we are discussing about it now, it will not last long in my memory. It is a kind of money that I can give to someone in need for free. No one will like to lose but if you lose does not mean that you are not happy or thinking about the money. When I lost it, I did not think about it. I do not feel depressed, I am good and happy. No sign of mood swing or anger.

In the approach of gambling for fun I think someone will only feel upset or disappointed if they do not get the expected pleasure during the game that is being bet on, but if it turns out that the trigger for the problem of annoyance is because of the amount of money lost because the team that was bet on lost for example then it is clear that it means they are not gambling for entertainment but to multiply their money.

On the other hand, the concept of gambling for entertainment or fun I think it does not mean that a gambler comes with the hope of losing or losing money, because after all, regardless of your intentions and goals, in the end getting a win will definitely be more fun, but for the concept of gambling for fun then I will consider that the win is nothing more than a bonus after I feel happy with the game that is running.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
Just as the OP describes, people who do not place bets regularly but have specific goals (in this case, entertainment) always get a result from such bets that is more noticeable than chasing all the games while completely depriving themselves of watching them.
Some people ain't even interested in watching any games BTW .. all they need is a close call for a win win, or a big sigh outta frustration.

Basically, their reactions afterward is somewhat funny to me; "a random man strolls into the casino house and makes a request that his papers be checked, but the results would surely be a friendly warning to leave for his own good, or pay for another piece of paper (ticket) -- you can see how delighted he is during the process of checking where his predictions went south".. Sadly, the simulations in his mind this time around is NOT a guarantee for a win still.. SMH
Those are the set that gamblers that'll prefer to ask around, instead of watching -- " aye, does anyone knows what Newcastle played yesterday"?

The thing is that if you are watching a game that you are betting on, it could be a good strategy to bet on the team that you don't like.

Basically at the end of the match you will either be happy because your team won, or you will be happy because you won some money.

It's a simple yet interesting strategy that always makes you happy, for one reason or another.

What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?
To start with, in general, I don't believe people gamble for the fun of it. I think they do so as a means of increasing their earnings/income. As for a gambler with a long bet slip, it's obvious they're super determined to win something out of their activities and that's what informs many to expand their picks. They just want more out of little. So, for these ones there's nothing like gambling being fun or leisure. It's all business

Well, yeah, I think it's obvious that anyone that have a long slip for staking on several games is because the person wants to archive a good profit but if the person still watch his favorite team while they play, it's still for the purpose of fun. So, I think it's just a combination of two desires whereas one desire could be higher than the other and we know the one that will be much.

Yes, that's of course true, watching the matches we bet on is definitely more exciting than just sitting still and watching how the teams attack and defend each other. So, what's your point here, do you just want to say that you agree with my opinion but by repeating the narrative in your words?
No one wants to lose while gambling or betting. The excitement comes from winning. If the match start and the team you selected to win is winning or what you selected is achieved already, you will be full of excitement and you will like to continue watching the match. But if the team that you choose is losing or what you selected did not occur in the match after several minutes, the match is not going to be exciting to you. If it is not a match from a big league, most gamblers can use it to bet but not watch it. I prefer not to watch it.

I agree with the OP. I am a fan of one of the local teams. As for my attitude, I can confidently say that watching this team makes it easier for me to place bets, simultaneously combining business with pleasure. Do you consider gamblers who bet on fewer games that they can watch to be gambling more for fun than to make money?

I am a gambler who bet on fewer games first as a way to manage the risks involved with betting on multiple games so that if I lose, I lose honorably without the guilt of being greedy and if I win even just a small amount, I am still in a safe zone. I make sure to have fun regardless and I achieve this by watching my favourite team or watching the game in which some of my favourite players are in. I don't care if my bet were on their team or against their team.

That is how I have fun. That is how we used to have fun in the past before the wide physical sports books and even the online sports book.
That is a good way to treat gambling because you place your bet for have fun and not using too much money. You know how to manage your losses so you will not experience the big lose. But watching the games you bet will be a part of the fun and not think about the result you will get.

At least, you know what will happen with your money and will not trying to make money from gambling. You gambling because you want to have fun, that is the point. People need to do the same thing as what you do to avoids the will of chasing the win from gambling.

That is why gambling is just for fun. If we understands with that, we will not trying to spends too much money because that will not easy to wins some money in gambling.

In my opinion, I agree that it is more entertaining if you watch the games that you bet on. It adds to the thrill that if you can win a specific category of what you bet on, it just makes it even more fun. But also, to add to that, it’s important to limit yourself and not be emotional if it doesn’t come your way.

I believe it is important to manage your risks when gambling. By doing that, you can bet more in the long run and possibly profit if the odds favor you.
There is a satisfaction when we make a bet and the result makes us able to get profit because the bet we made won. Watching a big match such as betting on a football match that is competing is a big and strong team like last night's match between Man City and Arsenal, this is a match that can be said to be big because they are equally strong teams with their performance. I watched this match but didn't make a bet, it was already exciting, let alone if I made a bet, it might be even more exciting. I agree with you, it is also very important to be able to control yourself or limit yourself when the bet you make results in disappointment, because if there is no good self-control, then maybe we will make mistakes that will make us bet again or others which in essence makes us uncontrolled and this tends to be able to harm us more.

On my own opinion, I don't think it's just for fun because that cost a huge amount of money having that long bet slip. However, when a person just played for fun I believed shorter bet slip can be done to consider optimum satisfaction. But I don't judge a person with this kind of behavior, since we can't control emotions in the first place and it just depend on how the situation really works for them.

I hope you aren't forgetting there are gamblers who don't watch any of the games they bet on rather they just look at the time and later go to check up on the game, those set of gamblers obviously may not be gambling for fun and you will find out that they are just trying to keep their emotions in check and that's why they have refused a follow up on the game, meanwhile its really different with some other persons as everyone has gotten their purpose for gambling at every point, I personally wouldn't watch my games but will check on them at them of the day. I just keep an open mind to all of this and believe everyone has got their preferences.

As of the last question you asked as it concerns long games, yes people do several things for the purpose of fun and even the weirdest things are done for fun sometimes but then majority of gamblers with long games are believed to gamble for money and if there be, it will be only but a very few who gamble with such for fun.
