Waves had slowed down a bit its presence in the news in the past months, but now with the upcoming smart contracts and atomic swaps I guess it'll catch again the headlines.
I have noticed one thing that waves ICO will fail, I have had few bounties 6 months ago, but not even one single coin had in the exchange. So not sure how many successful coins there under wave platform.
WAU Coin is on the waves platform, and it outperformed Bitcoin, the whole crypto market, gold, S&P 500, usd, eur and every major asset class on earth so far in 2018. It has hit ATH every week since launch. Id say that is more than successful, it is dominating. Waves also has NUMA the first appreciating monetary unit with a USD root value. It is at ATH today and has not had one down day since launch.

Honestly, I didn't know that those coins exist on Waves' DEX. I really need to up my research department so that I can savor those coins that's been rallying despite of BTC's bear trend. Will likely to check those coins and see if I can get some good entry point.
As you can see, Sasha is very active in Twitter now regarding the future updates in Waves' roadmap. That is certainly a good buying indicator right now. Exciting times to be a Waves hodler.

As for the Waves project, I think that many people already know about this project as a really finished project that is developing very well and is really fulfilling the set goals, but as many are aware that projects that are based on the waves blockchain have more scam character than normal, so in this regard, the Waves project does not win from competitors.

I do not believe that this project will be able to achieve any significant results. The platform is revolutionary, but it is not interested in any worthy project.
The most useful thing regarding crypto, is smart-contracts.
Waves is such a nice competition for other Altcoin that enable token creation! I hope more people get to use waves more. There are many feature on Waves platform that should be used and taking advantage of! Waves is a very capable alternatives.
I really like Waves, this platform already provides a wide range of cool features, and the Roadmap makes me think it can be a real opponent of Ethereum in future.
