both are good, but for me ethereum is still the best i think, because i know that you also know the popularity of ethereum exceeds that of waves, and also ethereum still has a lot of tokens that are based on ETH than to Waves.
Ethereum completes with bitcoin, not waves, its much more likely that something like AION or Tezos will enter that competition as well.

with Altcoin currently continuing to experience uniform growth. together with Waves and Ethereum. but Ethereum's price is already higher. so with this, I would prefer Ethereum. because although the Waves is still developing cannot exceed Ethereum. Ethereum is already from the beginning is higher. so that Ethereum is better.
I think that both projects are good. Each with its own pluses and minuses. But I think that the Waves coin has a great potential for growth, like investment.

Aww, so sad. By the way, next ethereum to be waves does not suggestion eth won't live long, the statement was made to show how best eth is to have. waves is a good coin to have though. It is actually competing with the top cryptos just that recently, things are not going on well for crypto in general. 
I think that it makes no sense to compare these two coins, because both promising and in 2018 should show strong stable growth! But as for me, I'm betting on the ethereum.
I invested 30% of my money with waves because i am believing that waves future is bright and for me waves price can also pump very high in the future and i believe that waves and ethereum is both altcoin that can really help peole to be very rich.
When comparing Waves and ETH, I would choose ETH because ETH has more long-term growth potential than Waves. ETH is a coin I like very much because it converges very well to be able to thrive in the future. ETH has a fast speed, there are many practical applications, ETH is the platform of most ICO projects today ... these are the reasons that I invest a lot in ETH.
I will go for ethereum over waves if am to pick between the two as ethereum has proved to be a very stable and good promising coin in the cryptocurrency market. Though it is attributed to its epitlistic rise and fall but going by the history, it has also proved that it can rise against all odds. Though I don't know much about waves but I think ethereum has been in the market long enough to gain my trust.
I personally don't like debating or comparing two good coin and having to choose one or speak in support of one while downgrading the other. Ethereum is good just like waves is also a very promising coin and crypto to have. My advice is that we should think of having both in our wallet. But if am pressed to go for one then I will choose the ETH not for any reason but because I have seen it's ability to withstand the market turbulence.

I think it directly depends on the number of ICO that is released on their base.
If people who are engaged in new coins will support the waves, if it is more convenient for them, then it is quite possible that the Ethereum will give way to the waves.
In any case, both platforms are developing and this is good for the world of crypto currency in general.
I don't see a single coin that could get close to Ethereum. so Ethereum will always be in second place after bitcoin.
Waves is a good coin too but i will choose Ethereum because it is the most top altcoin right now and i think it will be next higher value in all cryptocurrency, also Ethereum is now one of the best coin that many people choose because its affordable and profitable thats why a lot of people are now is into ETH. While Waves it last longer running in altcoin because this coin is good but there value is not higher like the other altcoin but the good thing about it, it is not scam coin so there's still many people trust to it.

Of course it's better to invest in eth. By the end of the year you will get more profit than if you invest in dash.
I think as of today ethereum is much better and has a better potential compared to waves. But who knows, crytpocurrency is very diverse and anything can happen. Both have a very great future. Lets just see what will happen
