I agree with you. I only visit those ICO rating sites to find a new upcoming ICO but not fully trust the rating there. I remember when centra and envion had got high rating but ended up scam. In the end, we have to do our own research as good as possible.

Yes, I fully agree with you, many companies are scammers, but there are those who could not stay afloat due to the fall of the market. We have to be careful when choosing companies, now we have to be very careful, the market is very much subsided and the analysis is difficult to do. 
Evaluation sites sometimes show amazing ratings, so a standalone analysis is always needed!

ICO projects nowadays are full of scammers so we to become vigilant at all times. Research all the details and information about the project from the team to missions and goals. Scammers are becoming intelligent and creative so don't fall easily.

doing your own research is a must before participating in an ico, through the whitepaper I think it's enough to get an idea of how the project will work. I think the ico website rating is mostly just for the promotion of the project itself, is it manipulated we don't know for sure.
Cant say all ICO raiting sites lie but yep there are some do it just for money ,but even ICO site doesnt lie and all is right it doesnt means you needt do your own research and be informed about project you invest.
I think it's only noob who just enter in crypto that can trust ico ratings website report, it is a necessity as someone who want to invest to do extensive research on ico to be sure of what you are putting money on.
I think you are right, everyone is trying to make it his or her own way. Therefore there is no need for you to trust anyone, you might end up falling as a victim. Never rely only someones research, try as much as possible to make your own research which will really help and protect you.

This is really we should do before entering an ICO do a research always. There are so many scams in ICO be extra careful in chosing one.
