I am more into day trading but I have some altcoins that I am hodling like ETH, NEO and OMG. They have great team behind them thay makes it a reliable investment for long term. They also have good concept that can be usable in real world. Many altcoins can be qualified for long term investment, it is just that Iam confident about these three and I am eyeing to imcrease my investment if the market corrects and pull the value of these three down.
I am not only investing in altcoin, I'm also participating in good ICO like Spectre.ai! I am holding ethereum, litecoin and xmr! The next market move is upward! I think late october is going to be bulish!
I think that you should hold big coins such as BTC, BCH, ETH and trading potential altcoins which has low price and huge volume. It is easy for you when selling if the price is pumped. 
I always keep the ETH. For the case of participation in ICO. And bay SONM, for a long time. Perspective project.

Im holding PAY,ARK,RISE,OMG,LBRY,PPP,UBIQ. Some of the coins are really low, so i think its a good time to get some more

i am holding RVT and IND and waiting for there price increase and earn some profit, and hoping for the best with these two coins. I am looking to buy some DGB and XRP because there prices are down and I can earn some profit by investing in them.

i would say it is too much to manage properly.
BTC, LTC, ETH, DASH, XEM, ETC, NEO, STRAT, SYS, XZC, SNT, DNT, ZRX
and a bunch of ICOs token likes KNC, HGT, BNK, GRF, DCT, SNM, WINGS and etc. etc.
