The fate of ICOs is linked with market and regulation both. A strong bull market in 2019 will boost ICOs nicely just like it did in 2017.
It need some catalyst again for ICO to boom and get hyped again, as for me I'm more interested in Security tokens I think this will be huge same goes to first batch of ICO, let's hope everything will turn out ok next year.
Investors are already smart in terms of investing to an ICO and yet there are already existing altcoins that has its different purposes so for 2019 there will be less ICO's .

My honest opinion is that it will be harder for ICOs to succeed, we will see more regulation and a lot of ICOs will fail to raise their soft caps The time of the ICO is over, only truly great projects will succeed. The stupid money has left this space
Judging by the fact that the financial regulators of USA, Europe, United Arab Emirates, Asia plan to introduce mechanisms for regulating the ICO with more stringent controls, which will provide guarantees for investors and make the ICO more attractive for investment.

My personal expectations about ICO in 2019 are developing well and ICO fraud can be reduced or lost. It needs major changes to get good results in 2019. We have struggled in 2018 and many new ICO cannot succeed. I am sure that by 2019 this will be the opposite of 2018.
I believe 2019 will be a good year like 2017 for crypto coins and ICOs. However, with ICOs, you have to carefully watch the regulations for your country of residence before investing.

My expectations are that we will see good news,goverments start to accept cryptocurrency and crypotcurrenccy volumes and prices will increase maximum 3x in start of third quarter of 2019. Start of 2020 we will see the big risings. I will invest to cryptocurrency start of 2019.

I would not want a situation where ICOs will come back to take much money again like last year. It affects trading as many people won't want to trade. Let the money flow into already established coins and not ICOs.
I don't have any illusions about the future of ICO. Unless ICO projects can be supervised, I won't choose to invest in any ICO. I have been bombarded by scammers. They are all scam projects, and the projects that can be successful are very rare. So I gave up ICO's investment very early.
Regulations will impact these ICOs and Jay Clayton said that ICOs are still good by 2019 so I think they are planning something big by 2019.This is just me but I think that ICOs will go to another level and will have new and interesting investment vehicle and only legit companies shall create one.
i think 2019 will be the year of legit and regulated icos. so now its time to focus on good icos. ORET token is a great project to look for 2019. so its gold mining related project ( PARAGUAY MINERAL MINING S.A ) and really a good opportunity to invest .

of course I hope that in 2019 there will be many scams that are not scam and are promising and right in giving rewards. because this year there are so many ico scams and the rewards are not on time so I have to wait a long time.
In the past there were a lot of scam projects which are filtered now as now people are very intelligent and are very alert about all the factors to see that if the project is legit or not in the coming year we will see many more tools which will remove the scam ICOs completely. I think the same. ICO market in the current view is dead. So many investors don't trust to team and their possibility to make all promising. And under us SEC as sword of Damocles. I think ICO market must be reformatted. But what will do I don't know

I think ICO investment will die down a bit as peoples move to more stable and legally binding investment like STO and other project with substance. ICO have had it's run and it will have to prove once again that it could be profitable before it can regain investors trust!
