Yes, if we realize that our life is full of gambling because when we decide for something, actually, we are gambling with the result and sometimes we predict the result.

We never think that is gambling because it's not using money and we only think that gambling is one related activity and use money and the result is we will get the money.

Gambling is very addictive, and we know that playing a game in gambling can make us become an addicted person in gambling. Although we know that it is not good for us, we still playing gambling because we enjoy playing the games.

This is hard but I do know some gamblers but they are not like this luckily.

I thought this is just in movies but I guess there are really gamblers like these. I know gamblers that do gamble a lot of money betting them by their luck which I don't like. I don't want to be in their way to what they want since we all know that learning is a painful process, we all walked to that process and that is the same with them. If they want to learn, they will stand for themselves and we are just here to support them when they needed it.

Here are my thoughts.

The lack of self-discipline, if a person has a discipline and can play for a short amount of winning/losses and not be too much greedy for money.
Greediness, when it comes to gambling most players are greedy for the money that they can potentially win without knowing that they are becoming addicted to gambling.
Depression, we all know that being depress we tend to look for a medium or something that can take away our depression for a while which leads to gambling.

Being addicted to gambling is not good for you and your family, seek help, dont be afraid or shy to tell your love ones that you are addicted to gambling. Sooner or later something may happen to you. There are groups that can help, you just have to admit first to yourself that you are an addict to gambling.
