What do you really want from gambling?
1. What exactly do you want from gambling? Say it, even if it's something you don't think is possible to achieve.

Like the other people or most people want it is to Hit the jackpot like a million dollar or so and then go away buy a house and nice car and invest rest of it to invest. I mean apart from the fun of gamble what else? Huge JackPot right.

2. What steps have you take to see if you can achieve that which you want from gambling?

The fun part is I don't think is possible to achieve hahaha

Or

Are you like me? Gambling with no sense of goal, direction?

Let's have a healthy discussion.

I think it is better to not set a goal when you gamble. I mean you could just enjoy and have fun for a moment while you escape the harsh reality. Setting goals like you want to win big and get rich, put a huge bet one time and walk away with a huge profit, is something that is really really hard to achieve that you end up getting broke just before you even feel that you're not even close to achieving that goal.
This is where most people get lost, those who have wrong intentions in gambling may most likely going to end up lossing more than actually winning. So, it's better to treat gambling as a temporary outlet to relieve stress while earning profit is a good bonus you can get when you win.

I used to have a goal like hitting a certain amount, but now it's more about trying to have a profitable day or break even. I know it's impossible, and that's why i've set a specific limit and hope I get lucky through some of the promotions or reward systems they put up along the way.

One of the steps i've taken is to create an account from several casinos so I can start progressing my way through the casinos' reward system and at the same time, wait for those profitable promotions to show up.

This question is very simple but very technical. If you ask so many people on the street today what do they really want from gambling, majority will tell you they want money. Like they want to be wining money. Of course it is one of the motive of gambling to win. Because nobody will want to get involved in any gambling activity that he will be at the losing side every time. To me, I love to win gambling because it keeps me the energy to remain in the game. But at same money is not necessarily the reason why I played gamble. Some time I like the vibes always get from gambling. I like the fun and excitement from gambling. That is why sometimes when I lose, I just look at myself and smiles. The smile doesn't mean that I am happy that I lost a game, but when you really look at the whole scenario how it started to see that at last you lost or lose a game, it really something to smile about.

So, I thought I should throw this question to the gambling community here, maybe I could draw some ideas from your ideas and contributions.

1. What exactly do you want from gambling? Say it, even if it's something you don't think is possible to achieve.
2. What steps have you take to see if you can achieve that which you want from gambling?
Gambling with no sense of goal? I don't think that ever came to my mind already. I mean I'm gambling as well, but I always have a reason as to why I'm gambling.

1. Excitement. You know the feeling of excitement as you watch your favorite teams playing? That's the reason why if I have some spare funds, I always put it into gambling while watching some games to have some excitement. As for the losses, I don't care if I lose money anymore in gambling because I always have this mindset where if I already put that money into gambling, I consider it as a "lost money" therefore, I can adjust to it and will not feel anything if I lose them all.
2. Setting a goal, budgeting my monthly income and put some into gambling, and understand the risks that I'm getting whenever I'm gambling.

I know that losing money isn't fun at all, and I know that because I'm like you as well. Losing money in gambling sucks, but we must always take note that our chances of losing money in gambling is higher than that of winning. I guess we need to re-program our brain to a point where we just accept when we lose money in gambling for us not to be disappointed in the end. Smiley

I'm not going to lie to everyone, I want to get the max win when I gamble, there's no other big and unconscious goal behind all of this, it's just that I want to make big money out of the small money that I've placed my bet into, no other way around it and if you're saying that you really want to gamble just for the entertainment then you're probably just lying to yourself and to everyone. I mean if you really are true to yourself, would you be able to give out your big wins if you're just playing for fun?

Maybe the word directionless is more appropriate for me regarding the direction I'm heading when playing gambling. I just "want to gamble" not just about the win I want to achieve and I just want to be entertained but I'm also annoyed if I don't get something or experience defeat even though it's not a big amount but if I win I will definitely be more entertained than just playing and losing, I also don't understand the purpose but what is clear is that I only want to gamble when I really want it, not as a necessity but as entertainment. which is challenging because we are risking our money to lose it.

For me, I don't care even though the goal is not directed because pursuing too much ambition to win is also not good. Having too much fun in gambling is also not good so I just try to play normally, not too involved in the fun and also not too aim at winning big if I win I consider that victory as luck that I got that day but it is impossible to get it because only people who dare to take big risks are able to win big amounts of money too.
I completely understand your point of view. It sounds good that you are aware that your approach to gambling is more about entertainment than strategic goal setting. But it is important to recognize risks involved it is also refreshing to see someone acknowledging emotional aspect of gambling. It is Ok to enjoy thrill of gambling without too much attachment to winning or losing. Your approach to view wins as luck and not getting too caught up in pursuit of big wins is healthy one. Just remember to set boundaries and prioritize responsible gambling practices so that entertainment doesn't turn into harmful habit.

Gambling with no sense of goal, direction sounds about right to me. When I gamble I usually have 2 motivations.
1) I have a little bit of free time to kill, but not enough to get into something really entertaining and I want a quick jolt of entertainment.
2) I am emotionally invested in a sporting event and want to have some skin in the game.

Maybe money is what you want but you have known with experience from gambling that it takes than give. Most people in life wants money.

If gambling is a guarantee means of earning, you will see yourself moving towards that direction more but gambling is just very different and you know that already which makes you think you are also not looking for neither money nor fun.

But some people gamble for fun.

I gamble for fun and I do not like to lose money from gambling at all but which is not possible. I use just little amount of money. If money is not involved, it will not be fun at all. I hate to lose and I know I really need to gamble with just small amount of money.

It's a question I asked myself this evening while playing a Slot game on a telegram casino.
I asked myself this question, and was puzzled for a while because I was actually confused of what exactly to answer myself, I wasn't sure if money was what I wanted from gambling, or whether I was just playing to have fun, or whether I was gambling for both money and fun.

And honestly, I am still confused, because I've thought of money being what I wanted, then "what is my actual target?, what amount will be enough?" is the next question I asked myself, and I realized I didn't actually have any amount in mind, and this made me conclude that money wasnt really what I wanted, but it's not fun either, cus I cant have fun if I am not winning, like I would always say, " there is no fun in losing money".

So, I thought I should throw this question to the gambling community here, maybe I could draw some ideas from your ideas and contributions.
