Profit and to spend my free time through gambling entertainment. I don’t have any interest anymore on movies and other things I’m doing before to be entertained ever since I only have few time to spend leisurely.


My main goal is to make my free time well spent. I achieved it through being excited on my gambling result but with moderation on the amount I’m willing to risk. I don’t have fixed profit target but any result will make me satisfied at the end of the game.

I don't think there's any purpose because for me it's simply about playing the game without putting too much emphasis on the results, but in some ways this can still be seen as a search purpose look for fun.

Honestly, I see many problems in life as linked together with gambling games, so I live to the fullest with what I have, no matter what situation happens, I will choose the right way calmly face it. And each of us will have times when we have similar/opposing opinions, but on the journey to perfection, I believe we will not worry about any goal at all.

This is a big question. I even created a separate topic on this subject, where I wrote that many people understand the word “entertainment” differently. And here you are not alone in your attempts to understand your attraction to gambling. Indeed, many people are drawn to play, but they do not understand what the true reason for this craving is. Sometimes they think they want to get rich. But if you think realistically, do you really think you can get rich playing slot machines? These are games with completely random winnings, they are created so that a person experiences thrills or is overcome by strong emotions. Strong emotions allow you to escape from the ordinary gray and boring reality and make your life more rich and vibrant.
 But that's not the point. I think that a person wants to study in practice some implicit patterns in gambling that he does not know about or that few people write and talk about. Knowing such patterns can bring us pleasure.

I am gambling to make profit even though, I know that the odds of making profit is very low. However, I try not to use an amount of money that will make me get emotional after a loss, so that I can still continue to gamble the next day to see if I will be lucky. Gambling is now part of me, and I enjoy the fun from it since I am a football lover and I bet on matches that I watch. Instead of me just sitting down to watch the matches, I do bet with small amount to enjoy the thrill in the game, and if I win more happiness and fun.

know one what to lose, everyone need profit and that is the fact you bet to win even if you play for fun your mind will still be praying you should win even he cut you most feel it because you but money to it, and some people that bet for fun and putting their money to it whenever they have money, and they lose anytime they engage on it because they aren't used to it because their friend play and get money they will try to do too, and when they see they are winning or losing gradually when you did't stop he will become addicted and he will put you in problem if you don't have money and you won't be thinking about your self anymore. The primary focus will be on the game you'll play the next day. I bet when my clubs play so that I can be more confident that my team is strong and will win the game. I don't believe in betting every day because you can't win every day. Even if you lose, you should take a week off before betting again. Everyone bets to win, knowing that someone will lose Because I am sure you don't like losing either.

You playing gambling because you want it. If you don't want, you will not playing gambling and that so simple like that. You can try not to playing gambling and makes yourself busy with doing many things. You will see that your minds doesn't thinks to playing gambling because you already tired after doing many activities every day.

There is nothing enough if we talks about our wanting because as human, we wants more and more without thinks that is enough for us. We are greedy to wants other things that we don't have so we will try to gets it and if we playing gambling, we will still playing gambling to wins more money. You should knows your reason for playing gambling and you should realizes that you playing gambling because you want to have fun.

But you are okay if you don't playing gambling because gambling is just one of many activities that you can do to have fun. You don't bond with gambling so you can stay away for a while from gambling. You just wants to have fun from gambling and you can control yourself so you know when you must stops gambling.

As some people would say "human beings want are in-searchable" which simply means they don't at times know what they are looking for or get fulfilled in the things they are after. They keep wanting more or pursuing more without putting a stop even though they are winning or losing. That's the way gambling is.

If you asked most of us the reason we are into gambling, our answer would be, it's for the money or the fun. Give the whole money in gambling or let them have the whole fun gambling, we will not feel fulfilled or complete with gambling activities. We will be engaging in it over and over again without exactly knowing what we want from gambling.

What do you really want from gambling? I thought no one would ever ask this question. Well now that you have asked, I just want to make money not lots of it while having some fun and getting entertained. I just want to be able to contribute to the discussion and literature a about gambling from a personal experience point of view. This is it. What I want from gambling. And because I have been able to articulate what I want out from gambling, I know when I am deviating from the goal unto something else or someone else's gambling goal. And this is what I see with most gamblers - a kind of group think. They don't know what they want. So they want what the gambling circle they belong to wants.

My primary aim is to have fun so even if I lose or am lucky to win money I have fun doing it I don't want to be a hypocrite and deny myself of a chance to make money of course if there's a chance to make money I'll go for it but I never made my main goal to make money and having fun as my secondary goal, having fun should go first.
It's a big disappointment if you prioritize making money if it does not meet your expectations.
I'll try and challenge myself to beat the house although I know it's not easy it will make you feel alive just trying to do it.

Try to answer the best I can,

1. I think the foremost goal is to win some money, and yeah it's possible to achieved but you need a lot of luck in your side in order to win big.

2. Well I guess there's nothing. You just have to be positive that maybe one day, even with just a minimum bet, you can win the grand price. Just like recently my neighbor here who hit a Grand jackpot in a land base casino, worth almost $20k. He said that he didn't have the intention to gamble that time, but he don't know, it's like there's some mysterious thing that pulling him up to play and with that particular machine.

In general everybody gamble to win nice amount and no one want to lose. But even they lose, they continue to gamble again and again. Why? Because they enjoy even after loosing. Gambling becomes their passion. Plus if we win by chance then our joy/emotion will be next level.  So win or lose gambling is fun or we say a bit addiction too. I've seen someone who think he can't digest food until he goes gambling whether he wins or loose no matter coz he can afford that.

Before at earliest part of my participation on any gambling activities I really aim to get a profit on each games I played. But now since I been matured enough to determine that getting that target is not always possible that's why same as other people do I only gamble for fun using the amount what I can afford to lose.


I try to be consistent on each gambling activities I do to see the possible win/lose record I get and after that I realize that engaging to much on gambling is not really good since if we try to be more consistent the more higher chance that we lose. Also luck always play a lot of factor on gambling that's why its so rare for me to use huge amount of money for gambling since I feel like I don't get much win on that. Only the fun factor satisfy me when playing.

That's because you shouldn't be looking at gambling that way, you never should consider that you will make big money with gambling, put it in your mindset that you're gambling only for fun no matter how much you unconsciously want to make money, it should be in your priority that you have fun, never consider gambling as a legitimate way for you to make money, it would lead you to the path of addiction and you don't really want to be at that path because it's a dark one and a sad path to take. Good for you to be free of that addiction, I assume that it's a difficult time for you to get rid of it but you really did it, I guess it's a good thing that you were able to change for the better.

Generally what is often found around where I live, their motivation is to gamble for money. However, some of them also just want to have fun, they are calmer because they are able to control their emotions because they don't really care about any results. Gambling for money and gambling just for fun will have different effects, addiction is more easily contracted in gamblers for money.

Gambling without direction or purpose is just to fill your free time or not be too uncomfortable with continuous losses because this type of gambler is a gambler who just wants to have fun. I often gamble for fun, even though I feel a little annoyed at losing, but there is no motivation in me to chase after those losses. The money I use to gamble is ready to be spent, after that I will stop and come back again when I get money that is ready to be spent.

Yes, that's true, I think it's hypocritical if there are people who don't want to get maximum wins by gambling because maximum wins are what all gamblers are aiming for, including me, who also wants to get maximum wins. Even though I've had big wins, if it's not the maximum win, my curiosity is not yet complete, only I can still control myself well so that I don't experience big losses and fatal negative impacts from gambling. but indeed there are some people who say the reason is for entertainment with the gambling they do, but even though the reason is like that it doesn't mean they don't want to win of course they also definitely want to win because that is the main thing that many people are looking for by doing it. gambling.

there is nothing that can be hidden, maybe with those who gamble really for fun it only applies to people who really have unlimited money so they don't hesitate to lose anything even with the maximum betting amount but they do this because they want to get something in return namely victory.

OP, I am in the same shoes with you, because I know that gambling cannot give me the amount of money I want which I know. I don't also like losing when gambling because I hate it when I lose. But I still have to gamble in the sense that I love gambling to try my luck and also enjoy the fun.

I started gambling because my friends are gambling and that was not good because we were eonly after making money with it, which made most of us addict. Being free from addiction made me to decide never to think I can win big from gambling which was why I started gambling with caution and funds that are not useful to me. I will say I gamble because I love the act of staking.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of slot games because for me the game relies 100% on luck so I'm not too sure I can win more often in that game, I prefer sports betting, in fact only one knows the purpose of your gambling, if you don't have a gambling purpose This means that you are having fun with gambling, even though you may not feel pleasure or entertainment in it, you may just be confused about your goals. Basically, as long as you still control yourself, gambling is good.

I think just answering your question a little, maybe it can also help you have a broader mindset, gambling doesn't have to be about getting money and achieving success by beating the dealer, we all know that the dealer will always win and never lose. only we lose as users

1. There is no goal that I hope for from gambling even though I also think I can make money here, but that is not the main goal, I prefer to fill my free time on the weekends by gambling considering it as additional entertainment.

2. There are no steps that I have to take, the point is that I know that I will lose when gambling in casino games, especially in games that expect 100% luck like slot games, believe me the dealer will always be the winner forever, because they can't defeated.

What people hope to achieve gambling actually varies and can be very different across all classes of gamblers and its fine its happening that way, some may intend to get financial freedom gambling while the others may hope to make money and have fun and for another they just want to make money, all this differences influences their approach and strategy as well and then you see them playing to achieve such. There ae some others who actually gamble with reasons based on their mood, this can mean they are goin to gamble for fun at some point and gamble to make money at some other point and all that gets to influence how they gamble at to points.

I happen to be amongst the last set of gamblers, i gamble at some point based on what i intend to achieve gambling at that point and at such i just want to have fun, when I'm gambling to make money of gambling i make sure i carefully make my picks but when gambling for fun i usually try out new strategy at that point and as well make sure I'm not emotionally attached to my games which in turn helps me not to be sad and emotional about losses when they happen

I know losing money is painful but in gambling I think there's fun in losing money when you are gambling with the amount you can afford to lose. The reason we are not finding it funny is because we have much expectations and not ready to face the reality. Nobody will be happy to gamble and lose but some people take it to the extreme as if winning is the only option in gambling. No amount of money is worth losing because we work for it but certainly, there is a significant amount that we can definitely afford to lose without feeling the impact. Weccan use portion of this amount to gamble just to have fun regardless of whether we lose it or double it.


Perhaps, we are much on this category reading from others responds. I gamble for money but I know gambling can not make me rich and I lower my expectation on the aspect of making money from gambling. It's now safe to say I'm not gambling for money. I do gamble for fun but not every game gives the fun vibe but keep on gambling. Maybe, I'm just another gambler with no definite goal too 

Your experience is our experience, what you think, also crosses our minds. That's why I often say, explaining gambling is complicated and of course it will be different for each person. In fact, sometimes we often have difficulty defining it for ourselves. I think this is a normal part, especially if you are critical enough to question it yourself. So the question is, what and why do we gamble. Sometimes, we are in a confusing phase to answer this question. I think situations and conditions come into play when we think about things like this, especially when we experience quite a lot of defeats. Our psychology will be disturbed enough to find the answer, but believe me tomorrow or maybe a few hours later you will be back to normal and even try a gambling session.

OK, I'll take an example, namely myself. Gambling used to make me narrow minded, in other words I tried to get as much money as possible. Well, because the situation was exactly the opposite, I ended up losing a lot of money and several valuable items. As experience increases, as understanding increases, I change my concept of gambling. We often discuss it, the concept is for fun. If it's no longer fun, that means stop. we have nothing to chase, anyway we are looking for entertainment. if we are lucky, that means we win. if not, end it and do another activity. For me it's as simple as that, especially as I'm a sports lover, so I often involve betting.
