I play gambling for fun and winning is just a bonus of course especially in casinos where winning seems to be very unlikely to happen but for lottery of course I am expecting something good from my tickets as we don't need to do something because we only wait for the results and if we lose then repeat the process until we will make gains. For me it really depends on what games we play but regardless of winning and losing one thing is for sure we all feel like the adrenaline rush. 😅
That's good for you if you can uses gambling for fun because that's the right thing that we can do when playing gambling. If we uses gambling for makes money, we will only see that we don't have a big chance to makes money instead will just loses that money and that can becomes bigger than we can imagine. We will needs to realizes that gambling is a way to have fun in our daily activities but we don't have to playing gambling too often because we must limits ourselves from playing gambling.

If we can't limits ourselves, we will becomes addicted to gambling and if that happens to us, we will not have a chance to holds ourselves to takes care of ourselves. Our money will be gone because we will playing gambling longer than usual and will lose that money because we can't accept our lose.

In general, everyone who gambles is to make money, even if you do it for fun, I'm sure that doesn't mean you don't want to win, but of course you yourself definitely want to win. The winnings you get are the pleasure point of gambling. I don't think about where the fun of gambling is if it ends in defeat, or if the gambling is done by getting a sensation, maybe that sensation is the point of pleasure. If you can control yourself by not getting addicted, that's good, because when someone is addicted to gambling, they will continue to play and that means they will lose more money.
But I'm not sure you always win every time you gamble. If it's true that you always win, of course there's nothing wrong with making gambling your main job, but it's impossible. Maintain your self-control, by being able to stop gambling because you know what the bad effects of gambling are, if you lose when gambling, of course it won't be a good effect.

Dunno man, sometimes when I place a bet, I dont even expect to win, but do it do support happy mood and company. For instance, when the last time we watched ice hockey game with friends, one of them placed a bet on a team to win, and I instantly placed a bet on opposite team just for a laugh. The team I placed a bet was much weaker, but it would be a laughable hysteria if they win. I think odds were like 6 or more. And if my bet would have won, I would have bought everyone a drink. You see, my plan was not to make a risky bet and make money to share drinks with friends.
So don't you expect anything when placing a bet? or maybe expecting to lose? but if it's like that, I don't think it's possible, what's the purpose of gambling if you don't expect anything to happen? with what you are doing like that, placing a bet that is the opposite of what your friend is doing, it could be said that you are not gambling seriously because you may be placing a bet without considering it and perhaps just for fun by taking advantage of the end result, so if you win you can take advantage of it. by buying drinks or, in fact, treating other people around you. I don't think there are people like you who don't expect anything from the gambling they do.
because most people who gamble have the goal of wanting to be able to win, but the difference is here, usually people who can't control themselves gamble brutally, not caring that they have lost in their gambling, but they still continue to gamble to win. The desired victory is difficult to obtain, and there are people who gamble wisely by not gambling brutally, where when they lose at gambling they stop gambling and if they win, they immediately cash in the winnings they have obtained without thinking twice.

And honestly, I am still confused, because I've thought of money being what I wanted, then "what is my actual target?, what amount will be enough?" is the next question I asked myself, and I realized I didn't actually have any amount in mind, and this made me conclude that money wasnt really what I wanted, but it's not fun either, cus I cant have fun if I am not winning, like I would always say, " there is no fun in losing money".
This is serious judging by your experience in gambling, notwithstanding, thanks for throwing it on board, at least, some people who are confused like you, or who feel they are confused may find answers.

From what you narrated above, I am confident that you are gambling for the money, and here is why. First, it's clear that you are not gambling for fun since you don't seem to be taking it easy with gambling. You are such that risk so well and also conversant with it, so that can't be for the fun part, because those who gamble for fun will take it easy, which will naturally cause them to wager lower amounts per bet.

Now, it doesn't matter if you have a target before you admit you are gambling for the money, in as much as you like gambling and are not satisfied and still pressing high figures or somewhat higher figures than an ordinary fun-seeking gambler would do, then you are for the money even if you do not admit that. Having a target in gambling is a choice, it is never compulsory the way you make it a basis to decipher.

Quote
1. What exactly do you want from gambling? Say it, even if it's something you don't think is possible to achieve.
Mine is clear, I seek my fun through casinos and try to make money through sports betting. Also, I've never been aggressive with my betting to make the money and I am a conservative bettor any time, any day.

Quote
2. What steps have you take to see if you can achieve that which you want from gambling?
As you can deduce from the above, mine is mild, so I do not really give gambling that thought since my focus for money making is elsewhere. However, I have a low betting plan on casino games and I strictly manage my sports betting even as I go for the least possible difficulties.

Quote
Are you like me? Gambling with no sense of goal, direction?
Nah, bro! Far from it. But it is not too late for you to put the pieces together and have a goal and the plans to achieve it.

I think when it comes to sports gambling, the motive for gambling is usually bragging rights and being able to walk the talk because too many people out there are fond of calling out game predictions with no stake on what they are talking about...

So besides the bragging rights, winning and making some cash from your sports knowledge the money is pretty much a primary goal which I believe 85% of other gamblers belong.

I gamble because I want to and in the hope of winning. I hope but not in the chase, probably it is a different story which is why even that is my mind, I'd never fall into addiction and still be able to manage my gambling habits. Obviously, it is for money and less entertainment. But whatever it is, gambling is not bad if we are not greedy, not bad if we never chase our losses. It is undeniable that most of us have bad experiences and several losses than winning but we must understand that this is gambling and no matter what we do, our luck is only our ticket to winning.
You're telling the truth buddy, that you do chase the win, most people probably do too but they don't admit it confidently, even so we do need to train ourselves to be better so that we don't overreach and chase the win so much that it leads us into the abyss of irresponsible loss.

Yes gambling will not be bad if we are not greedy and will not be disastrous if we do not overdo it, we must play much more responsibly with what we are prepared to lose, I myself occasionally play to try my luck and think who knows today can win, but after reaching the limit and losing I stop and come back again when I want to try again.

i myself gamble just for fun, and don't have a specific goal like other people. because i don't want to expect too much from gambling and don't want to set any goals for it. i only gamble when i feel bored and stop when i feel like i'm not getting anything out of it.
Having fun is a goal in my opinion because you have an expectation that gambling gives you pleasure and you get that from gambling. when you say “when you don't get anything from it you stop” as if you are saying that when you get something from gambling you will continue it and that sentence also says that you have a goal in gambling that is done by you, and you when you say that “only gamble when bored” as if you are saying that you gamble to get rid of boredom in yourself. BTW, this is just my opinion on the opinions or views you have given on this thread.
He is right, even if you are gambling for fun, you gotta stop if you see that you are not getting any entertainment out of it because if you are gambling to have some fun and the fun part is missing, you don't need to waste your money and time since you are spending your time and money to get yourself entertained. People who gamble for money should stop when they are constantly losing, and people looking for fun should stop when they are not having fun.

What you are calling a target is not actually a target for him because he is referring to financial targets that people usually have from gambling. Most people would think that they would get 2x or 3x of their bankroll and then they will stop, but that isn't the case with people gambling just for fun.
I'm referring to the outline of the title, maybe look at it in general terms and the phrase goal will have many meanings so we discuss widely, because people have their own goals for gambling.

If you think about the financial target that can be multiplied it will give an absolute interpretation, and that answer will be the mistake here where you try your luck in gambling is like throwing money and trouble yourself playing with ambition and expectations in the wrong place that takes more of our money.
What if gambling is no longer fun for you, will you continue gambling the next day after stopping today because you feel empty?

From what I've read about the way you bet I'm sure that you're betting not to win but to make the atmosphere more festive with your friends, although I would say that picking the weaker team is ridiculous Cheesy but by you doing that it convinces me that you're betting with money that you can really afford to lose or account for because picking the weaker team is too risky a choice.

But I would also say that there is nothing wrong with what you did and chose, because the main priority in that situation is to increase the fun with your friends and even if you lose then surely your friends will treat you with your other friends.  In conclusion, gambling is not so bad if it is done in the right way, such as not putting excessive expectations of winning and also only putting a small amount that we can afford to lose.

I gamble not to become an addict, I do it just for fun for no other reason. If there's a chance that I win, I'm always happy, but that doesn't drive me to get addicted to gambling like
other casino players do.

Yes, sometimes, I wish I could experience a big win in gambling, but I never play gambling even if I know that I have lost a lot in gambling, because when my gambling money is used up,
I really stop. Because I know the effect when I chase after my loss in gambling.

I play gambling because I lack the outlet of emotions in real life. Emotions that I get during a gambling session is difficult to compare with something else. On the one hand it is disappointment, and jubilation, and regret and sincere joy, but it all happens so quickly that it is difficult to achieve such a state in other entertainment. As I understand most gamblers come to the casino for this very reason, because almost all gamblers are well aware that the chances of a big win is not as great as it may seem at first glance.
It is very difficult to control one's emotions in gambling, but if gambling is continued based entirely on emotions, then those emotions will not bring us anything good at some point. Gamblers go to casinos and gamble with the expectation that they will win big money at some point by gambling and after winning big money they will quit gambling altogether. Gambling with such expectations may result in some gamblers winning a few jackpot rounds, but most gamblers do not win the jackpot and continue to gamble more. I have heard so many stories of gamblers who won the jackpot but couldn't put that big money to good use and then gambled away that money and lost. That is, our needs are never limited, even after winning big money, we still need to win more money and that's why we don't see profit from gambling.

I only looking for fun, nothing else.

That's why when the first time I gamble till now, I had never face any problem in my life due to gambling.

My monthly money is always enough to pay my monthly needs, I always have times to improve myself, and my gambling session never interrupt my daily activity.

I think a lot people have too much expectation and dream, they need to lower it, so they can live peacefully and will not become gambling addicts.

If I may ask how much is your monthly and how much you wagered for that?

Any game of chance has only two outcomes - winning and losing, so it is perfectly logical that any gambler seeks to win. But the desire to win can be quite different. Someone is ready to spend all their money to achieve their goal, and someone plays gambling for the sake of getting emotions and winning for him is a kind of reward for a successful game.
I think if someone spends almost all their money just to gamble to achieve the goals they want, I think it's really a shame. In this case, it's best if we want to channel our hobby of gambling, it's best to just have fun, don't expect to get a big win there, use just enough budget, if we expect too much, it will definitely bring disappointment or a very detrimental impact on the individual who gambles. Alone.

Earning and fun everyone chooses either of these two. I use gambling as fun but sometimes it takes me out of my control without realizing it. Today I gambled at first it was fun I was smoking and listening to music and playing blackjack on my laptop. I started with just $16 and from Win it's $67. Later I got more excited and started betting bigger amounts to win more then it dropped to $8 then managed to get to $48 again and it went to Zero as I continued to gamble. That moment was very happy but when the balance was over I was regretting. Gambling is basically like that

I will only gamble for those two things which are for the sake of earning some money from it and as well as for the sake of fun. Any man out there will tell you that he's interested in the money because for us that's our end goal. So, if you ask me a billion times, I will tell you I am much interested in the cash. However, the fun is always necessary. Gambling was purposely meant for fun sake and that's what should motivate you after the money.
Greed for money is a very bad thing and if gambling and greed for money are installed together in someone then he is bound to become addicted to gambling. Because someone is addicted to gambling only when he has the intention to achieve something big from gambling. Gamblers are able to fool them with site tactics. And then they don't get fun from gambling. The fun is only when they can win.  But on losing they get depressed and start investing again to recover the loss.  Thus they are financially ruined. so be careful from gambling sites and thete attractive offers

When you get into gambling, one of the things you have to overcome is being greedy because it becomes the nature of a person who engages in gambling, even if we say don't be greedy anymore, we can't just stop it, it's necessary to have an intense control over our mind and decisions. When a person becomes greedy, they may lose everything they has and it is possible that other things in their family may be affected. Gambling is tricky, so we should be better at manipulating the game so that it does not captivate us with the illusion of giving away a lot of money.

Well there are many perspectives of gamers in general, some think in one way or another that they are not interested in anything but winning, others are only interested in having fun, I think that in the casino and in games in general you can meet many social classes and positions, everyone plays and does what they can, so you can say that the vast majority are looking to win , to get something out of the game, others want to have fun because there is a chance that they have a lot of money and if they win or lose it does not matter to them, they just want to live the experience , but I think that the conglomerate is looking for fun + money and that is the most difficult thing to get.
