I gamble not to become an addict, I do it just for fun for no other reason. If there's a chance that I win, I'm always happy, but that doesn't drive me to get addicted to gambling like
other casino players do.

Yes, sometimes, I wish I could experience a big win in gambling, but I never play gambling even if I know that I have lost a lot in gambling, because when my gambling money is used up,
I really stop. Because I know the effect when I chase after my loss in gambling.

1. What exactly do you want from gambling? Say it, even if it's something you don't think is possible to achieve.
2. What steps have you take to see if you can achieve that which you want from gambling?

Or

Are you like me? Gambling with no sense of goal, direction?
Let's have a healthy discussion.

I think that players who gamble for fun, like me, have a serious problem called boredom, which gets worse as the years go by....

People who gamble with the goal of making money always have a challenge that never ends: Beating the system, which is always in favor of the house, calculating the odds very well, controlling the bankroll and managing the risks to make a profit. This is a "job" that never ends.

However, those who gamble just for fun eventually get bored of what they do, and they always need to find a new game, a different sport, or a championship that is still unknown to them to bet on. Otherwise, it is normal to ask ourselves: What am I still doing if this is no longer entertaining!?

It is natural for someone to enter a gambling environment to definitely want to win and it is undeniable that for gamblers, besides winning, they also want to entertain themselves with simple and non-boring activities, namely by playing gambling that is easy to play and can choose the desired gambling game.

However, for me personally, playing gambling, apart from having fun entertaining myself at home, it is undeniable that I also want to win, even though luck cannot be predicted, but playing gambling can still control myself, namely by using a small amount of betting money, I do not chase victory, but if victory comes, I will immediately stop enjoying the results and if I lose, then at that time I will stop and gamble when the situation is supportive.

It's a question I asked myself this evening while playing a Slot game on a telegram casino.
I asked myself this question, and was puzzled for a while because I was actually confused of what exactly to answer myself, I wasn't sure if money was what I wanted from gambling, or whether I was just playing to have fun, or whether I was gambling for both money and fun.

And honestly, I am still confused, because I've thought of money being what I wanted, then "what is my actual target?, what amount will be enough?" is the next question I asked myself, and I realized I didn't actually have any amount in mind, and this made me conclude that money wasnt really what I wanted, but it's not fun either, cus I cant have fun if I am not winning, like I would always say, " there is no fun in losing money".

So, I thought I should throw this question to the gambling community here, maybe I could draw some ideas from your ideas and contributions.

Perhaps it is just that you are bored? If its not for the money and you don't quite have a target and it is to no end then perhaps if you got some new hobbies you would find yourself doing something else other than gambling? Just a thought.

Personally I haven't taken many steps towards any gambling goals, its really more of a spontaneous decision and whenever I feel lucky. I can't really put a huge want on what I want from gambling other than to WIN!

You don't really need to be confused wether you are gambling for fun or for Money. The fact remain that we all gamble for money but, gambling does not guarantee us to make alot of money like usual business. But we often do the unthinkable things to achieve a goal of making profit in gambling, but doesn't work out the way we though. If actually money was the main porpos, am really afraid because the money will lead anyone to addiction that will turn the person to something else . Back to the question of the thread. We all really need money but it is always hard to make money from gambling thats why it is called fun. Since we have the feeling of making profit and it's not coming,  literally it becomes addiction.
Everyone gambles for money, that will always be a common reason for all of us. The fact that we take some risk in putting our hard-earned money into betting that have no guarantees to win, that alone proves that we gamble to make more money, even if we end up losing them all in the end.

In all honesty, I am gambling with the aim to hit the jackpot one day and become instantly rich. Even if I know that’s rare to happen, but I’m still trying my luck hoping to make it. Even if it means gambling more will create more reasons to lose a lot more and become more greedy to make bigger profits one day.

If at all you want to play gamble it is better to just play with amount you can afford to lose because you already have feelings that if your money lose in gambling you won't feel happy,  for this reason their is no need why you should play with a bigger amount. The reason of playing gamble could be not to make quick money from it but just to have fun and the fun comes in if we luckily win the game at the end. If we should be honest with ourselves no matter the reason gambling is being played either for fun or to make money quick from it, nobody feels happy when money is lose in gambling, and since gambling can be predicted it will be better if we should always play with the amount that we can afford to lose no matter what is the reason for gambling.

Earning and fun everyone chooses either of these two. I use gambling as fun but sometimes it takes me out of my control without realizing it. Today I gambled at first it was fun I was smoking and listening to music and playing blackjack on my laptop. I started with just $16 and from Win it's $67. Later I got more excited and started betting bigger amounts to win more then it dropped to $8 then managed to get to $48 again and it went to Zero as I continued to gamble. That moment was very happy but when the balance was over I was regretting. Gambling is basically like that

I will only gamble for those two things which are for the sake of earning some money from it and as well as for the sake of fun. Any man out there will tell you that he's interested in the money because for us that's our end goal. So, if you ask me a billion times, I will tell you I am much interested in the cash. However, the fun is always necessary. Gambling was purposely meant for fun sake and that's what should motivate you after the money.

Obviously, this means that gambling can never be used as a place to make money and the reason is because it is clear that no wins come consistently which is because gambling does not have any certainty and guarantee of always being able to produce a win at the end of the session and As for the proof, you have explained above that gamblers often fail to realize their desire to make lots of wins, and I think that is very natural because gambling is not a place to make money.

The reason is how is it possible for us to earn income in a place that has absolutely no certainty or guarantee of always producing a win at the end of every session we do, plus the risk of losing is always a part of gambling. The point is, don't put your faith in something that only depends on luck, because after all that idea will never work, and it's better to look for other activities that can really give us a guarantee of earning, such as public work.

Going or optioning for fun is the best approach but at most time we are easily carried away by greed and allocate  more than expected, our time, energy, and resources but nevertheless being knowledgeable or having ideas in different things can be good as per gaining exposures and experience which has alot to contribute to ones life generally functioning more effectively in the society by staying inform of things that is going on , such that there is more boldness talking about what you have gained experience and what you have not, no knowledge they said is a waste, I do gamble once in while if not there is no way I would have known what I knew today about gambling so don't feel bad about your situation.

i myself gamble just for fun, and don't have a specific goal like other people. because i don't want to expect too much from gambling and don't want to set any goals for it. i only gamble when i feel bored and stop when i feel like i'm not getting anything out of it.
Having fun is a goal in my opinion because you have an expectation that gambling gives you pleasure and you get that from gambling. when you say “when you don't get anything from it you stop” as if you are saying that when you get something from gambling you will continue it and that sentence also says that you have a goal in gambling that is done by you, and you when you say that “only gamble when bored” as if you are saying that you gamble to get rid of boredom in yourself. BTW, this is just my opinion on the opinions or views you have given on this thread.

If you can gamble just for fun, of course that would be very good and maybe most gamblers can't do this, so they will continue gambling until the money they have runs out and then realize it, I myself only gamble when I'm with friends. who is gambling and I only play poker games and even that won't last long because I don't understand the game well and when the funds I use run out then I will no longer take other funds to continue gambling and I continue to limit myself so that I don't get addicted to gambling.

Yes, pretty much this. I gamble because it boosts my adrenaline level and makes watching a match more exciting. So, when I bet on a sports event and I start watching it I feel that sensation like there's something on the line for me. It makes me more of an active participant. It's similar when I play poker. Playing without money isn't fun because you can fold whenever without any consequences, but when you know there's a blind and every time you fold early you also lose money, it makes the game more interesting. Suddenly people start to really give a shit and care for every hand.

Bro, don't forget that times before now, you have once argued in other topics that gamblers are gambling not because of fun but rather to make money. Like you will always say, "no fun in losing money," that's right, but what is notable in losing money in gambling is how often you gamble and how much you are gambling with.

If, for example, you gamble three times a week and only spend $10 each week, in 48 weeks (one year), you will spend $480. If you are earning $380 every month, that is $4,560 per annum, minus your total money that was gambled off, and you will notice that it is not really having a huge impact.

But there are people who are losing more than that per year while they are not even earning up to that amount per year. These are people who really gamble for more than just fun, but rather as a means to earn more money.

Why did I get into gambling in the first place? That was because I saw my people making money with it, and I thought it was a means to earn money, so my friend started to put me through. I kept gambling because I wanted to get lucky and make a little money most of the time. I had little or huge wins that were helpful to me back then, but if you ask me why I am still gambling today, I will tell you it's because I want to have fun (winning is not the top priority) .

I have said it before that I have friends who are deeply into gambling, and sometimes they will book a game and send the code to me, asking me to make sure I stake a huge amount because the game will definitely go as predicted, but I don't really get moved by it again. I gamble when I want, when I feel like it, or maybe I just want to while away time or quicken my mind.

I play gambling because I lack the outlet of emotions in real life. Emotions that I get during a gambling session is difficult to compare with something else. On the one hand it is disappointment, and jubilation, and regret and sincere joy, but it all happens so quickly that it is difficult to achieve such a state in other entertainment. As I understand most gamblers come to the casino for this very reason, because almost all gamblers are well aware that the chances of a big win is not as great as it may seem at first glance.

In fact, I’m very glad that at least someone is thinking about this, because many players can play for the sake of playing without understanding why (just like robots), or for the sake of money that they don’t need, but they didn’t understand this and maybe will never understand.

1. I want to gain financial independence from gambling, but at the same time I understand that this is impossible. It turns out that I am in conflict with myself and this scares me.

2. I study how gambling works, communication on our forum also helps me, because many people look at gambling from different angles and opinions. I have quite a lot of experience, but I find something new for myself. I’ll probably put my puzzle together soon and start playing less and only for fun, not for money.

Yeah, I can honestly related for this is how I also play for most of the time, but this is only for when you are really not concerned; like you are just playing to get away from boredom.

But on the other hand, there are also times when you feel anxious for the win, most especially if you are someone who really have never experienced what winning up to $5000+ from gambling feels like, and somehow, you encounter one or two persons who seem to have won this amount or even more effortlessly, it makes you want to ask yourself why you aren't winning like them, or is there something you are doing wrong? Or maybe you are not serious like them and so on.

Gambling should be for fun quite alright, but like I've said before and will always say, there is no fun in losing money, the fun in gambling is that you are winning, it makes one happy and installs the zeal to keep playing.

It's obvious that majority of persons who play gamble are hoping they could double or make extra cash from gambling while few gamble because they want to have fun with either their friends, family,team.... However most persons take their decisions too far in making extra money from gambling and that actually leads to gambling addiction or irresponsible gamble attitude which lead to getting broke and losing valuable life property by selling them to gamble. Actually there are times were I gamble for fun with my peers, I could remember when we were still kids how we gamble on football matches we play to make the game more interesting even without us know it's real gambling that is being practiced back then.

That's right, making extra money from gambling is more of an addiction that they will find it difficult to get out of once they are caught in the cycle of gambling addiction. Also, only a few people can gamble for entertainment purposes only because gambling involves profit, of course, this makes many people think that they can make extra money by gambling, but it only puts them in even bigger problems because it will make them addicted to gambling.

With them already trapped into addiction, of course there will be bad effects that can occur such as actions that are at great risk involving borrowing money or selling property owned even worse stealing which can harm others. Actually gambling cannot be the hope of people to be able to make money with certainty, those who want to multiply their money in gambling will not be able to get results in accordance with their own expectations, moreover, the victory in gambling depends on luck.
