I think IEO will be on top over ICO, with our current situation there are a lot of scam project makes ICO too risky for investment there is no guarrateed that the project is a real one. In IEO, when the coins is offered in good exchange, what everyone will think? Ow okey, this is a good one because binance take it for advertising,. An exchange like binance cant easily accept projects without basis. This will be mud for their reputation so IEO has less risk and be our future in investment
I think IEO will soon take the place of ICO because recently a lot of ICOs have failed to reach their minimum cap/target due to the market condition but in the case of IEO investors tend to trust it because they are being organized on recognized exchange such as Binance and other reputable ones. I think with the success of Bittorent and Fetch ai then IEO will become the alternate way of raising funds very soon.
I can not see a difference between ICOs and IEOs but partnerships with well-known exchanges which create a massive source of attention that is provided to them. However, we have to keep in mind that it is a very small part of all projects which will have an opportunity to be sold out in minutes. The "good old way" will not vanish for sure. Exchanges bring legitimity, but other projects are not doomed to just follow tails of those few "gems"- with hard work a a bit of luck they might outperform them even with a start from worse position. In conclusion, they are nice to have, but they will not destroy the "traditional way" of crowdfunding.
I never took part in it and I think it's more centralizing than anything else. The argument that this initial offer is being made in reliable exchanges is something that does not sound cool. Pre-sales can be made in moments that few people are aware of and many things can be obscure. Apparently it's a trend, at least let's see how some exchanges will perform this and the credibility that will be shown.

So you know as investor, that they will be in the exchange soon enough if you want to get back your investments fast. And to add also, since the exchange is staking their name to these projects, it means they really see the potential in these projects and of course they have actual communication with the developers, which means, less likelihood that they will screw even their host exchange, right?

It seems to me that maybe it will survive. Now there are still projects that look promising, so I think that such projects will continue to appear. And perhaps the ICO will come to life with new forces.

Directly getting listed to the exchanges adds value to the project and it also helps with getting good number of investors in a much shorter time period. Apart from the same if every project move forward with this plan automatically everything with cryptocurrency seems to be an investment based earning. There won't be anymore bounties and all.
Well lately, most managers of the marketing team of several ICOs are really looking crowdfunding that occurs on exchange platforms and this is called Initial Exchange Offering. I think IEOs would even help bring more investors to the ICO because there are so many traders on the exchange platform.
I think the hype is for the IEO and not the coin, thats the issue, you know the coin you are buying will be listed on binance right away and you will be capable of trading it right away so that is why people tend to love it. Having the guarantee of a binance listing from a coin is valuable more than anything the project is promising, all those road maps all those developers all those designers and advertisers, you can do whatever you want, spend thousands of dollars but it will never be a great marketing as well as being listed on binance right away.
Hence we gotta make sure if IEO continues it should be funded not for the fact that it will be listed but because it will be a good coin, no coin should be loved and funded quickly and be supported just because of being listed, it should be loved for what it is not where we can sell it.

well, maybe IEO is a very interesting thing for the development of the current crypto project. if this has a good impact, I'm sure crypto can be as popular as 2017. Apart from that I think this can also increase the interest of investors to invest.

Both ICO and IEO will survive. Each of them have their space in the crowdfunding process. For startups with low budget can choose ICO since IEO supposed to pay amount of money to be able to conduct it on the exchange I guess. From the legitimacy perspective, IEO will be more safe if it is conducted on trusted exchange.
I like this new IEO idea for many reasons, And I will continue supporting IEO without any kind of rewards! Because most of the ICO project has zero funds at the beginning! Many ICO projects are getting a very low amount of investment but they are manipulating the raised amount with the ICO timeline bar in their website! In IEO they have no chance to manipulate the rasing/ trading amount. Many projects are coming with their own exchange to start the IEO, they are not enough trustable from the fake raising amount!
So, I think the IEO market is the new and long-run trend. ICO and STO market will suffer a lot in this year!

I think same thing will happen with IEOs in long term. In the starting everything seems good but we can not say IEOs will be very successful in future too. We can not judge the success of IEOs on the basis of BitTorrent and Fetch successful event by Binance. I believe ICOs will also remain here they will again get momentum. Bittrex anounced too an IEO but I think that event has been already cancelled If I am correct. I believe ICOs will survive in the long run as compare to the IEOs.
This is not something to even debate because if we look at it logically, ICO is actually not the issue here but those that hijacked the ICO system and sees it as a way to defraud investors by introducing bad projects or purposely scamming, so with the invention of the IEO that guarantees investors these security.It is absolutely impossible for IEO to lose value except scammers end up penetrating the IEO system or if coins with very bad projects termed as shitcoins to penetrate which I doubt.

It is a better alternative to ICOs. With IEOs, the exchange ensures its a real team, investors are confident of exchange listing and no more uncertainties with ICOs. This is why investors have grown confident of IEOs in the last few weeks
