You have to understand that we are still currently in a bearish or accumulating period or let's just say recovering period. The usual bull runs in crypto are the bitcoin halving year and the following year. So you better invest an amount that is not needed since the crypto market may continue to have its swings this year that are unpredictable.

With regards to altcoins, many of us here in this forum hold altcoins including me. I also have ETH and around 10 more altcoins apart from bitcoin. If you do not like the volatility of altcoins then you have to sell some of them into bitcoins. At the moment, my crypto portfolio is 63% bitcoin, 20% ETH and the remaining 17% from other altcoins like SYS, GALA, BNB, MATIC, and many more. And I am not yet done buying altcoins and bitcoin. You can also invest regularly or the dollar-cost averaging method.

Well, I bought some fractions of Bitcoin at the price of $30K, ETH at $2,100 but unfortunately they have been going downward since then. The bearish trend in the whole market is still prevailing, which greatly impacts on coin prices. Despite the bear market, Bitcoin is still holding on its ground with its price not fluctuating over the top. However, the altcoins are becoming more volatile than before and I begin to doubt whether investing in altcoins is a wise choice. Did you invest in altcoins ? What do you think of the current altcoin market ? Please let me know.
I invested quite a bit in Altcoins. It's true. Currently Altcoins are very volatile. Unknowingly, suddenly the price plummeted far. But I still believe the price will still rise. The altcoins that I have I will hold in the long term to give a lot of profits.

Is a choice choosing to invest in altcoin but most at times due to unreliability of altcoin people mostly invest with bitcoin and is more secure and relaxing than putting your funds to invest in altcoin. This volatility you mentioned doesn't only affects altcoin but it affects all the coin in the market but is most effective on altcoin since they all depends on bitcoin price movements, currently I can see that bitcoin have started gaining momentum which I think is positively affecting the entire altcoin as well.
One thing you must know that newly launched token doesn't have 100% assurance to run for long because you don't really know the intention of the team members so as for me I always encourage to hold those reliable coin that is well known even if you must invest any newly launched token or coin let it be that you just trying your luck to risk a little funds.

Well I do not think this is something you need to worry about to be honest. Price of Bitcoin is now $28,000 and price of Ethereum is now $1,900. If you are going to HODL them for long term gains it is not going to make a big difference for just a small amount in price difference.
I think it is more risky for investing in alt coin market. We know price of Bitcoin will go back up we just do not know when. But it is so low now and same with alt coins. But for alt coins it might not go up as much as Bitcoin price, so it makes them more risky then Bitcoin.

We can never determine the market and its direction. Whether it is bitcoin or whether it is altcoin you have no real clue where it is going to be. Even with the technical analysis bitcoin or Altcoins have failed many traders. Imagine why this is happening? The volatility is at its best and market can take turns in bear or bull in blink of an eye. So there is no actual answer to the question what happens to Altcoins. However, there is far more stable market when it comes to bitcoin. It has higher volume as compared to the alts so we know for sure whether market is dropping or up surging.

current trend shown that it seems bearish hasn't really gone yet, only very few coins actually gaining traction and many of them are too niche, that I doubt it could be called bullish, now it's getting into the stage of corrections again, im afraid bearish could be repeated again.
It looks like the bearish trend will continue but hopefully, starting next month, there will be a slight change in bitcoin prices so that altcoin prices can also increase. The bull run and altcoin season will come again after this correction is over but we also have to be prepared if this correction isn't over yet. And yes, the bearishness could repeat itself for the following months but we shouldn't worry because it is a good opportunity that we need to use to buy low and hold it. And the current bitcoin price could increase again, so we still hope to see the bitcoin price started to rally again.

You can't time the market, only insiders and whales/exchanges know where the price will go. The best you can do is pick the right cryptos with real world utility like Polygon and Q Blockchain and the Internet Computer and wait.

Yes, I think right now the market is still in a bearish condition and the movement of coins is still unstable,
better take advantage of this time to buy coins that are potential and have traction,
we'll see how it will develop later.

Currently, the market condition is still continuing to recover, although sometimes the price decreases. i see that you bought bitcoin at $30k, and ETH at $2100. Currently, bitcoin is priced at $28k and ETH is priced at $1900, and they are still very close to your buying price.
I honestly see this as a normal thing, you just have to wait and be consistent to buy. it is not an investment that will make you rich instantly when you buy it. So, I think you just have to wait until the price of your asset goes up. In addition, the potential for altcoins is still quite high. personally I am also still very interested in investing in ethereum and BNB.

The main reason I see is that the volume in the market is very low right now. One reason is that a few days ago a meme coin came into the market with a huge pump and almost all the capital went into it.This is the reason why many fundamental coins are crash in the market. Rather, there are many strong coins that seem to be falling in price or not seeing much momentum in their price, because the crypto currency market runs on supply and demand. New money did not come and old money was captured by this meme coin.

secondly Bitcoin dominance is up right now and those who have altcoins should hold on to them as soon as Bitcoin dominance comes down altcoins will see a good pump. I also have a lot of altcoins but will have to be patient here.

The market is still bearish and a lot of altcoins may not survive it, that's why it is a very risky venture investing in altcoins. Some altcoins have no utility whatsoever and only relying on the community to push it.

Only scam coin that will not survive during the bearish market like this. There are so many shit scam coins can even comeback alive again after someone put liquidity on it. It's almost all of coins didn't have utility.
If we are analyzing it and majority of coins were alive caused by there are still people who speculating it. I see no reason other than it right now.
Altcoins gonna be stay stable to follow bitcoin.

If the OP has no urgent needs with his funds, he may probably lose some if he will sell his btc today.
So even if he bought at such prices, he can still gain but need to wait when the market surpasses such levels.
BTC and ETH are already for long-term investments, so should not worry too much about their market unless, the OP needs to sell it now.
When it comes to other alts, everyone should do their due diligence because anyone can suggest an alt to invest but it is you who needs to study the alt.
This will happen if we invest in something that we never really understand. Because I see that OP is impatient and probably what he thinks is that he can get profit too quickly. Apparently, the situation is likely not giving him a favor after investing and so the doubts have begun. It is a challenge for investors who think that crypto investment is a quick-rich game, some easily give up when seeing the market decline and upload their altcoins immediately and regrets happen. And I believe that OP is struggling hard to think if he HOLDs or just SELL them, much more difficult if we are relying on the income of our crypto investment.

What is your goal of investing in Bitcoin and ETH or those altcoins? Is it only for short term? If so, then indeed the price of crypto will always be volatile and because this is still a bearish period, the market will very easily drop quickly. But if you want it and you don't have a problem with the long term, then you don't need to worry too much. Because there is still time to wait for the bullish era after the halving. Hopefully the bullish season will really come again. And as long as the coins you choose are very valuable and worthy coins like BTC and ETJ, I don't think you need to worry.

there are so many causes for the crypto market to go bad, especially when the economic crisis and war issues hit, the market experienced its lowest point at that time, but not all altcoins were destroyed,
Not all but many were already gone. I did invest in some altcoins, the good ones IMO that turned into one of the worst investments that I've ever got.

there were still some altcoins that really dominated at that time, but bitcoin remains the safest coin to invest at that time
And this is what people aren't going to take note. They've been told many times that nothing can stop bitcoin if they choose it but instead of obeying the suggestion, they're choosing what they think is best and that's okay because it is their money that they invest with.
But for those people that have been long on this market and already saw a lot of misfortune for so many altcoins, you'll ever know that this is one of the reasons why many altcoins have made losses instead of profits.

there are still many altcoins that haven't performed well this year because the altcoin season hasn't come yet,
and altcoins fell sharply, almost -90% from ATH, indeed because the price of Bitcoin fell deeply.
and yeah I miss it when altcoin bull because I've lost the opportunity to achieve my dream.
That's because altcoins depends on Bitcoin's price so if BTC price increase then the altcoins will also increase just like BTC reaching its new ATH and after that altcoins also reached its new ATH. That's common knowledge for everyone who are into cryptocurrency.

Most of these Altcoins are pump and dump, and since the market is just recovering from the bear market I don't see incentives for the Altcoins to sustain their price, also most of these projects play a waiting game they want to wait till the market condition is good for them to release any positive news that they have, so as to pump their tokens. I think the time to just blindly buy any Altcoins and wait for the price to pump is gone, one needs to be very careful not to turn into an eternal bagholder

According to the current market it is better not to go to your alt coin. You invest in bitcoin and you can expect to benefit from it. An alt coin goes up in the market for a few days. Then it goes down for a few days, it goes down to the minimum, it never goes up. There are many such tokens in the market so it is better not to go for alt coins
