Did you invest in altcoins ? What do you think of the current altcoin market ? Please let me know.
Yes, but on a cheaper price.
Probably you miss to analyze about the strong resistance that resulted to another drop, and this is why its important to have you analysis before investing because even a top coins experience a big drop and this time, you got the wrong timing and trapped with those altcoins. Fortunately you bought a good one, all you have to do now is to wait for another bull run and don't panic, the price will recover and you can have your profit soon.

Well, I bought some fractions of Bitcoin at the price of $30K, ETH at $2,100 but unfortunately they have been going downward since then. The bearish trend in the whole market is still prevailing, which greatly impacts on coin prices. Despite the bear market, Bitcoin is still holding on its ground with its price not fluctuating over the top. However, the altcoins are becoming more volatile than before and I begin to doubt whether investing in altcoins is a wise choice. Did you invest in altcoins ? What do you think of the current altcoin market ? Please let me know.

I am not really a crypto expert but i am following the crypto market since 2017 and since then the market always pretty much reacted the same way. When a bullrun is starting, so far Bitcoin was always the first project to make massive gains. After a certain period of doing that the Bitcoin rallyie stops and the big altcoins like Ethereum, BNB and other projects from the top 20 or top 30 are starting their pump. Again a few weeks later even the small altcoins are pumping like crazy. In the end altcoins have usually pumped way more than Bitcoin itself.
Then in a bear market it is as you say, Bitcoin will also go down but way less than the average altcoins.

Ideally, we should maintain a balance between Bitcoin and altcoins in our portfolio to avoid situations where we incur a loss of over 90 percent, as often happens when people mistakenly invest their entire funds in altcoins. I believe that once Bitcoin gains momentum, Altcoins will also experience a similar trend. However, it is uncertain when Bitcoin will become bullish. You possess valuable assets in the crypto market, so there's no need to worry. Just be patient, and your patience will eventually yield rewarding results. However, exercise caution when investing in meme coins, as they may tempt you with the promise of quick profits, but they can also experience significant drops, making them difficult to recover, unlike Bitcoin or Ethereum.

I did invested in altcoins and I still hold some of them. But, it's not my entire portfolio is composed of altcoins. It can be counted in hands and I'm willing to wait until I break even or get a little of profit from holding it.

The current situation of the altcoin market is just dependent on Bitcoin.

That's why if you have Bitcoin then you can count on it at these times and whenever the bull run comes, you'll be fine by that moment if the altcoins you're holding at the top ones.

Regarding the price fluctuations of Bitcoin and Ethereum, just wear a blindfold for now. It's not a short-term type of investment so be sure you won't panic sell even if it goes down pretty hard. It's just the behaviour of it but when it finds the bull market I am with no doubt you will be happier with your decision.
Altcoins. It depends on the coin you invest with. Perhaps telling us what it is could enlighten us and then we could check out what is happening behind it.
Memecoins seem to be on the front now, but I don't understand why a joke should be a good investment and the support in social media is also getting higher, but I'll stick with the old ones. Less risky in my opinion and the chance to make money in the long term is high.

Well what did you assume? That the market would go up when you bought your coins? Wishful thinking then. Bitcoin is still down from a few weeks ago but in comparison to months ago, it's in a better place so no worries there, just bide your time with it. For altcoins I tend to never really hodl them for a long term, that's just going to really make you lose out imo in most cases (some cases investing on an altcoin for a year or two can bring out a lot). ETH is still looking pretty good I think, looking at the chart you clearly bought both coins at it's peak, meaning when it was rising up. Buy when it's going down, not the other way around. Buying when the price is going up is a quick ticket to losing money in the obvious short term imo.

Investing in altcoins is always a bad decision before a bull market starts for good. In bear market, you DCA bitcoin and nothing else. Bitcoin is the best performing asset during a bear market (because altcoins are going down far more) and in the beginning of bull run when altcoins are either going sideways or up but slower than bitcoin because the majority of investors think bitcoin is cheap and are too scared to buy shitcoins. History shows that the best moment to buy altcoins is when bitcoin break previous ATH. At this point, the mass media write everywhere about pump, a lot of new investors are coming to the market, who, seeing how bitcoin has grown, are looking for cheaper alternatives pumping altcoins. Not before. Dump everything to bitcoin.

Before involving oneself to investment its our (your) duty to develop time to study how the market would move within the period of your investment, also when bitcoin price decreases -2% altcoin are being affected by -4%, likewise if the market increases it also affect the altcoin. There is no strong bear and I just believe it was little market correction, we may not witness any ugly situation with the price being that the bitcoin halving is around corner.

when the market is bearish then altcoins will also be affected, this is the same as in 2017-2018 where Bitcoin prices experienced bullish,
after 2018 ended or in Q3 it was bearish again and caused altcoin prices to fall sharply, even 2019-2020 was the lowest price for Bitcoin and altcoins,
if Judging from this history, 2020-2021 was a bullish start and the end of 2021 was a bearish start until now,
2023 is still the same and it is likely that altcoins will rise again next year 2024-2025 we are bullish again.
