You bought Ethereum for $2100 to have $30k in Bitcoin. Current market price of Bitcoin is $30K and ETH is $1860. I think you are close to your price point. Current market conditions are still recovering. But sometimes the price goes down. Portfolio wise should balance between bitcoin and altcoin due to which we face more than 90% loss. However, if Bitcoin takes a bull market, altcoins will experience the same trend immediately. Sometimes the market goes down because there is no regulator of Bitcoin so the price of Bitcoin goes up and down due to different news from big global companies and individuals. Since you have invested in Ethereum May I would say you should be patient you will definitely get good results. And be careful when investing in smaller tokens such as memecoins as expecting too many quick gains can put you at risk. But investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum has the potential to restore your wealth.

If you look at the history of the last few years, you will understand that the movement of alt coins also depends on the movement of bitcoin, because when bitcoin increases, alt coins decrease in many cases, and when alt coins increase, it also increases. It completely depends on the market sentiment.  Then it will increase so then Bear is running so should invest in alt coin and come out with good profit.

You chosen two good coins BTC,ETH both of great project just you have to continue to holding. Now your loss in ETH, because it's bear market i think ETH will able to quick recover so don't panic. And i don't want to suggest you to invest in new coins due to downtrend market it's too risk.

Altcoins are only experiencing corrections, there's nothing to worry about about the altcoin market,
because the market cap of altcoins is currently very low, I could even call it a bottom.
the Bitcoin price is currently consolidating in the $30k area, I hope that we as investors and traders must know the conditions,
because we all know that this area is quite dangerous, if Bitcoin is able to survive and break $31k then we are safe,
but if Bitcoin don't hang on and fall below $30k again then we are in danger.

The market is still in a bear market, so it is very risky to invest in Altcoin in a bear market. Bear market is always a long term investment, Altcoin is never a long term investment.I think bitcoin is best for long term investment. When Bitcoin can break its previous ATH, it might be a good time to invest in altcoins.

Right, Now Prices have started to recover, and improve. Altcoins for sure they follow the movement of BTC. of course Asset diversification is a must, And for those who are new to the market even though it already exists and can afford to buy BTC it's best not to sell coins especially those that are already fundamental and share them with other coins, especially potential coins Like BTC and ETH So, for example, you resell everything You buy to return it to its original state.

Altcoin markets are actually more volatile, they go up a little and go down quickly. So comparing altcoins and bitcoins everyone will prefer bitcoin.  While Ultracoin offers good returns in a short period of time, there are also big losses.

Well, this is where a mature mindset is needed before making a decision. I have an optimistic view of the (bullish) market, but am waiting for confirmation with a daily close above the $30,041 BTC level before entering the market again.

Yes. I invest in Altcoins. And I fully understand the risks. Altcoins are more volatile than BTC or ETH. But if you are lucky, you will also get a reward that is many times your investment in BTC or ETH. I have invested in ALtcoins but I also invest in BTC and ETH because I don't want to risk all my wealth in altcoins.

I believe that it is not going to be that easy to decide between two different coins when we are talking about long term. Like for example ETH could be a good one for long term and even though it had a problem just recently with SEC, that doesn't change the fact that BNB is a good one as well. These type of things matter because in the end that is the way you make a profit, there is no other way.

Basically people love to check the whole altcoin box out, but that's not a good idea. I do like a few coins that can be very long term, over a decade long holding and those ones are as good as bitcoin to me. I still do have majority of my investment in bitcoin of course but I can't say that I have no other investment, I still have some there.

As a rule, we are often confused about where to invest. In altcoins or Bitcoin? Although many experienced people say not to invest in altcoins until the bull run starts. Because altcoins don't rise much before the bull run starts. Then there is very little fear of losing wealth if you invest in Bitcoin. Investing in altcoins without considering the market and not understanding the current situation has a high chance of losing wealth and can completely wipe out your wealth with the promise of quick profits. So before investing you must have adequate understanding of the market.
Before investing in altcoins one should check well and invest oneself cautiously. There are some altcoins which give good amount of profit. One should try to invest in such altcoins. If we invest money in wrong coins we  There is a lot of risk involved. So I think first of all we will invest in Bitcoin and then we will put some good in altcoins.

It is already a risk if you buy altcoins and then experience a dump, because in altcoins the volatility is greater than Bitcoin,
so no wonder altcoin prices are now free falling and bottoming,
but that is why traders and investors love altcoins because bottom prices are a great opportunity to buy.

Altcoins only follow the price movement of Bitcoin, if Bitcoin pumps like now which reaches $ 31k altcoins also experience pumps,
and even some altcoins such as SRM, Poly, Waves go up 50% more, if you want to see the situation from altcoins,
of course the first thing we see is the price Bitcoin, so be careful when buying altcoins during a bitcoin price dump.

If you pay attention to patterns of Altcoin price movements, they do tend to follow Bitcoin price movements. When Bitcoin experiences a price increase, altcoins often experience a similar increase and that is normal if i think. Yes. Because BTC is the father of all coins/tokens.

I think not only SRM, Poly, Waves went up 50% the others might also be able to go up as you mentioned if they were pumped hard by the whales.

thats it, the rule of thumbs in determining in which direction these altcoins will go could be foreseen simply just seeing the trend that bitcoin currently be having.
though sometimes altcoin didn't necessarily follows the trend, but we know the general idea of how the market sentiment currently is.
so if anyone really eager to invest then they should determine the sentiment towards the market and general trend so that they didn't make some really bad decision.
and after that losing some of their investment. knowing what most people currently interested in is the key.
That's how it is because until now Bitcoin is still the king of crypto and it is also a benchmark for altcoins,
it is important to keep abreast of market movements and with that at least it will help us in making decisions,
simply we need to know when to sell and buy.

Actually, this depends on the person because for me personally I don't find it confusing, especially when looking at the comparison of altcoins and bitcoins, it's clear that you don't need to worry about this because the main choice is definitely bitcoin.
What makes you confused is when you don't have deep beliefs about your choice which makes you feel like this is very difficult to do because you still expect big profits in altcoins but on the other hand you are afraid of the consequences of big losses there too.
I personally still make bitcoin the first choice because it is something that will definitely happen regardless of anything, bitcoin is always the main thing for now, whatever the reason.

Indeed, altcoin returns are bigger, but we are aware that losses when bitcoin experiences a correction, altcoins will bleed again in the end, which will make you lose even more and more.

When there is a bear market, the whole market goes down. Most of the altcoins follow the Bitcoins, so whichever direction it goes, the rest of the altcoins also follow it. But as you have mentioned, Bitcoin didn’t fall as badly as the other alts because its market cap and popularity are very high. When people see the price coming down, they instantly buy the coin, increasing the demand to acquire Bitcoins. So the price goes up again. But in the case of altcoins, this popularity and buying factor doesn’t work, and hence they are in the red most of the time.
Market movements will of course follow the direction of bitcoin and recently after bitcoin has increased, altcoins have followed the market to turn green as a result of the bitcoin trend which is becoming positive.

I always distinguish between bitcoin and altcoins in terms of movement because altcoins from a decline there are those who dispose of it so that the token cannot go up anymore but for bitcoin with a decline, it is overwritten by negative news that wants low prices meaning waiting for other investors to panic and after the price drops they are spreading FUD will buy bitcoin.

There are notable downsides to buying altcoins. Due to the sheer number of them, it's hard to pick out the best altcoins to invest in. Altcoins with greater risk and many smaller altcoins are dubious or fraudulent investments. But altcoins are still worth a try for crypto investors willing to do their homework. If you are looking for a less risky or less time-consuming investment, then crypto stocks are a better way to go. Remember that too much risk should not be taken, so even if an investor decides to buy altcoins, they should only make up a small portion of your portfolio.
