I do nothing and follow the market. Now any positive news does not bring the project any additional benefits and changes in price. This situation turned out with the Phantom project.

So I thoght this could be of help for some that also in search so they will also be inspired .. maybe they could also ad stuff arround here that could be of help!

Research it takes a few days/weeks so if u're in this fase take your time.

1.Forum search about the coin;
2.Join the telegram group and try to interact with the members;
3.Try to make a post on the forum and also see the crowd sentiment;
4.See some data on coinmarketcap.com , : https://icodrops.com/ , https://icorating.com/
5.Watch this tool from investing.com - find here the explination: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.29503403
**LATER EDIT:
6. Team - research moust of the members on linkedin and google , also the backers or advisors.

Doing this can be of help to get a sense of a really good buy... at least this is what  I do.

What are your thoughts ? How do you do it??

Cheers!
Before buying a cottage, you must conduct a detailed investigation of it, rather than blindly buying it.

This is a very good suggestion for everyone who will invest in Altcoin. I checked and searched for a lot of information about the coins I would buy. And I also always check the coinmarketcap website because here all the coins already exist. And you also have to trust the results of your research and then buy coins.

I am always reading a lot of articles about an altcoin. Moreover, I also research this forum for any scam issue or something else. The next step is to check the website and the team members. The last step is reading the whitepaper and checking the community numbers.

Besides checking the information about the team, I see if you can mine the coin. I also visit the popular site that we all know, coinmarketcap, and check there the coin's chart. it helps me a lot.

Such a good advice! I am using the same approach,but I am trying to evaluate tokenomics as well! Metrics are essential to consider and to compare with same projects in industry just to get know your potential competitors and your target market cap.

I prefer to see directly from the official website altcoin the pad to see detail information. look at the team and the developer behind altcoin will be quite important because it will determine who will be on the altcoin travel purchase. dig out any information from altcoin is the basic thing because later it will also determine the outcome of altcoin in some time in the future.
Agree. Now there are many reliable sources you can dig info from. I use multiple sites and see how different opinions are provided on the same product and its potential. Researching on the team is also very important.

Hi, thank you very much for the very useful and needed advice on buying new coins. I will certainly use them in my activity. Especially those two ico pages.
I also look at a roadmap and web site processing of the project. Good work, thank you.

I think that you have a certain plan of action for investing in altcoins and other tokens. I also still rely on the hype around any coin, as sometimes it can be profitable.

You should learn about Altcoins before you invest. You should evaluate the capabilities and quality as well as the potential of that coin on future development possibilities. See the community about that coin and application.

The first thing I usually do is to go through the project whitepaper and do personal review of it. Through this, I will be able to know much about a project. And if am convinced based on what I read from it and from other research outside the whitepaper, then I will decide if I should invest in it or not.

Before investing, good research is most valuable thing, because in this way you can avoid loses, and you are more secure into your investment when bad times comes which will eventually come. I think that we should not invest in something about what we have no idea.

Yes all of this it's very important. As for me, I usually check all members in the team. All of their social networking sites because it's the most common mistake of scam projects.

Many people forget to add sites-aggregators in the lists of sources. They contain information about further upgrades and events. Also, don't forget about telegram-channels which are full of useful information about all preparing projects!
