Though Your points are good enough to select an altcoin to invest. But I like to invest in the top 100-300 coins according to Coinmarketcap rank. I think top 100-300 Coins are very safe from scamming! Like I am trading and holding LTC, XRP, ZIL, ICON, ETH, MTC, and some other altcoins and every coins are on the top 100 Coin and I feel very safe to hold and trade with these.

I must say check the market volume. Not all altcoins are having continuous price increase for a long run. I do believe that market volume and popularity will determine whether a coin would be profitable or not investing your money with. If an altcoin is hav]ng high market volume then, there is a tendency that it will be profitable.

I would read everything possible about the project and the scope of its work. Study the white paper and the road map.
These are quite useful documents.

Very valid coins. People need to understand that right now there are a lot of altcoins out there that are just scams and have no intention of carrying out the project past where they would be making money to line their pockets so following these points that you have outlined to research the projects would be a good way to make sure that you do not fall for the scams

Before any buy or investment i always research the market to understand the best points to enter and the good prices for buying coins, to be sure i will get profit on my actions
The market certainly need to research on this coin. Altcoins are not their air appeared. Accordingly, you need to carefully study the system they represent. If the company has a potential for development, then it is more attention paid to such an altcoin.

I think it is very important to study the direction in which the project is developing. We need to understand whether the team will be able to release a really useful product that the world community will need. There are a lot of projects that have a product, but this product does not have a high customer value.

I think those are great lists of things to do before considering buying an altcoin. It's good to make your own research before diving into investments. Some coins die too soon, and some investors lose a lot of money because of hype and FOMO.

High risk can lead high reward and we humans have a natural tendency to want to overreach. But you need to figure out an amount you are comfortable investing and, more importantly, an amount you can truly afford to invest then you need to stick with that amount and be patient in the process always.
