If bitcoin was banned then it will be a huge issue because a lot of people are doing their best in bitcoin and they are all collecting bitcoin and keeping it on a safe place for an expected return which can make them a rich person in the future. Bitcoin is a really great currency but even a simple banning decision from a country for example in China, then it will affect the whole market again just what happened in ICO banning.
I think there are many attempts from governments of banning bitcoin but its not an easy for them to destroy such a decentralized system because the system is between the user and the blockchain through internet maybe they should have to shutdown first all internet network in order them to succeed but not will never be happen since the world is running by internet, but I think there are government that are now slowly adapting to crypto currency.

To be able to ban BTC completely I think the whole internet and computer system must collapse. It is impossible to ban such a tech. Yes governments may try to limit BTC activities but technology will always win over government bans.

Looking at the decentralized nature of crypto-currencies,Wonder if govt bans Bitcoins in future??Is it possible let's say by blocking all sites which relate to Bitcoin wallets/payments etc over the internet. In that case what would happen to our existing coins held in those wallets??
In the future, everything else can be. The Crypto currency is developing and we can not yet say in which direction its development will go and how it will be viewed from the point of view of the states. So far, decentralized crypto currency has caused conflicting opinions and therefore states treat it differently, including differently classifying the currency in the process of legalization.
If approximately half of the states decide to ban crypto currency, then it will exist. However, if practically all or all of the states make such a decision, then it will have to be very difficult, apparently, first it will practically depreciate, more than 90 percent of its species will disappear, but people will still use it in very small amounts, not officially. It is difficult to say what it will lead to yet.

Maybe some countries are already banned bitcoin but I hope in our country they will not ban crypto because for me, personally, it helps me a lot it gives some extra money to pay some of our bills.  Bitcoin is a big help for every one.

there must be a gap for everyone to keep trading using Bitcoin
Internet marketers today are more creative than traditional internet marketers
in fact, if BTC is prohibited, then it will only be an opportunity to make money for some people

It would show that the current banking system is so frail and fragile it's likely to collapse, and the government so corrupt it should not be considered valid.

If Government decide to prohibit the acceptance of bitcoins or websites promoting the use, sale or transfer of bitcoins, this has a serious way of affecting the way bitcoin could grow, develop and advance. It requires collective efforts of many of all governments to stop it however.

I don't think they can't even do that. There's a lot of things they need to do before they can totally ban all bitcoin websites and etc. I've read a thread here of some people who still continue to earn bitcoin even if bitcoin is ban in there country and I don't know how they do that.

It is a case of what if and not that they are coming out outrightly to ban it. This is going to affect everyone involved. I do think governments can only go about advising their citizens against it and even where it has been banned, people still do engage in it. It's going to take a whole lot of work for that to come to fruition.

It is not possible for them to ban cryptocurrency because people will still use it with the use of VPN services , so for them only one option is available that is to legalization and make new rules to use cryptocurrency .
And there are chances that if bitcoin will ban then surely people will mentally forced to not to work in the cryptocurrency because most of the people don't want to use tedious ways to use things .
Here we can see example of it that in Bangladesh bitcoin is banned fully and if anyone will caught by the governments then he will go for jail .
But in the present time every country governments are aware about that people can go at how much degree to action against the government, so government will not ban cryptocurrency at any side .
At one side cryptocurrency use is making down the problem of the unemployment ( big example of China , where they didn't banned yet ) .
So here we should not take much tension , here all governments will go with the trend technology of online world , where bitcoin and another cryptocurrency are more safer than our traditional banking system .

Well there is a possibility that government can ban bitcoin operations. Because they have the power or ability to implement that matter.

The government will not ban Bitcoin because they will not get it. The Bitcoin network is already supported by very many large corporations and at any time this network can be restored.

Governments can do lots of things but i doubt if they can block BTC sites or ban bitcoins just like that without proper legislation procedures. There are no legislation on BTC in most countries so there will be no grounds to banning it.

There are treats in banning bitcoin but I don't think the government can ban btc. There is a lot of good things btc can offer to the world like jobs and the new technology of decentralization. The government will also think twice in banning becs, they also want the betterment of the people.

It is not really  new for bitcoin to be ban, it has been banned in a number of countries but that has not stopped it's progress. Some accept it legally already

Well, even if people will try to find a way to still have a bitcoin when the government banned it and banned certain sites where bitcoin can be bought, I think because of the modern technology, they can actually trace you and your activity which be make you accountable to the actions that you have done. So for me government can totally ban bitcoin and I think it was been doing by some countries like China. This will make the value of bitcoin less valuable. If I am in this situation, I think I will immediately sell my coins before the actual implementation of the banning so that I will earn my money.

I think they can’t totally ban bitcoin. Investors/ users will always can find some other ways. Plus, i think it’s kinda too late to ban btc or crypto because all around the world people loves btc. So governments also should accept it. No need to fight with btc cuz they can’t stop it.

Actually in some countries bitcoin is banned but people of these countries are free to invest in bitcoin and even government earn very huge taxes from the investors of their countries such as INDIA where bitcoin is actually banned but government earn big amount of tax from investors of bitcoin. So, it is very much clear that the people who want to invest in bitcoin they are investing even when their country banned the bitcoin. Moreover those countries are left they are also thinking to regulate bitcoin in their country.

even though government has the power to ban and block all websites relating to bitcoin, i still believe this move wont be taken as bitcoin has so much prospect which government is fully aware of. the only reason they are being skeptical about bitcoin for now is because bitcoin lacks regulation at the moment and government always fear anything they cannot regulate.
