If the dollar crashes, the internet will definitely be affected which will affect Bitcoin.
If the economy dies and the dollar is no longer any good, you have gold. Great, its worth will only be as good as the individual that trades for it wants it to be. You can not eat it or use it. If we get to that point we have no economic system in place then gold will also be useless. Food, water, bullets and TP will have more value than gold
really hard to magine that,but everything could happen.. and if UD Dollar crashed,i think will affect to other currency,maybe bitcoin will rise up to $1000 
Dollar is only worthless piece of cotton paper powered by hot air from corrupted politician mouths and backed up by armor and guns. Bitcoin is currency of free people powered by internet and backed up by free market so in my opinion it is matter of time when Dollar sinks and Bitcoin take his position of strongest world currency.
Well that is just 1% that can happend.

Hmm well the USD lost 99% of its value over the last century.. funny thing it looks like rice, beer, cigarettes, and silver are still around.
it's something that won't happen in the near future, if ever. the us government will do everything to make sure it won't crash. if they have to set their money printers to work harder than they do now, they will surely do it. they will keep stretching it for ever.

it's something that won't happen in the near future, if ever. the us government will do everything to make sure it won't crash. if they have to set their money printers to work harder than they do now, they will surely do it. they will keep stretching it for ever.
It will be more than disaster if the US dollar collapsed. It would be much worse than the Great Depression, and because of the size of our economy it would be even worse than the economic collapse of the past. It would cause a ripple that would have a devastating affect on the world-wide economy and at the end the entire world economy will be collapsed.

Yes it is stable for now, but later who will know? It will crash if there are some other currency that can replace it, may be bitcoin will be nominated
Yes. 90% of the world's trade is being conducted in the USD. And also, most of the countries sell their debt to institutional investors in the form of treasury bonds, which are denominated in the US Dollar. If the US Dollar collapses, bond holders will lose some $58 trillion in government debt, as well as trillions of USD in debt which is owed by big corporations, such as Gazprom and Rosneft.
Indeed 90% or more may be, but dont you think others currencies are becoming stronger and stronger that will affect USD and this time bitcoin is going to make his movement. Do you think one day USD is going to be replaced by others(including bitcoin)?
The only currency with anywhere near real potential to challenge the U.S. Dollar right now is the Chinese Yuan, and China's rate fixing, which is something that will likely go on for a long time, destroys the Yuan's prospects.
If dollar crashes out, then alternate investments will boom exponentially.
So, there is a good sign if dollar falls for bitcoin. People will rush into bitcoin to make their money shifted into another safer place for long run. So, any time of negative things in traditional environment will lead to a bitcoin boom.

USD will not be crashing anytime in our lifetime. We can hope and hope that Bitcoin surpasses the USD but, we probably will not see it happen in our lifetime, or our kids lifetime. If bitcoin survives that much then maybe it will 200 years down the road.

USD is the closest thing we have to Ideal Money as defined by the late John Nash. Bitcoin has potential to be the asymptotically closest thing to Ideal Money closer than USD but it remains to be seen if it can live up to its potential (depends on how the world accepts it or not).
If USD goes down it will need a successor such that it is not susceptible to the same fallacies that caused USD to crash (inflation targeting). There is nothing that I can think of outside of Bitcoin that can do this.
