I use Ledger Nano S. So lightweight and portable plus easy to use. You can access via a normal pc without actually installing anything.

The best wallet for me is blockchain wallet. Although I use coinomi since it accepts almost all coins and tokens. Maybe you try out both. But I would recommend blockchain wallet if your only interest is Bitcoin.

What would be the reason to get two wallets? Can you mirror a single wallet on two hardware wallets, or would the idea be to store some of your btc in one wallet and some in another to "not put all your eggs in one basket" so to speak?

Also any particular reason for Ledger vs Trezor or KeepKey? An open source hardware wallet seems like it would be safer unless you really trust Ledger.

Trezor. It's worked really well for me. Highly recommended.
They give you a sheet to write down your recovery seed/phrase so that in the event your Trezor is lost/not supported in 30 years/whatever, you can easily recover your wallet by entering the phrase into any popular wallet service, such as Electrum or Mycelium on your phone.
It's a good, foolproof system. But you should play around with it for a bit, exchange some coins to your own wallets, get a feel for the device, then finally move your savings to it and sleep soundly knowing that they are safe and the backup exists.

There's offline wallet like Paper wallet or hardware wallet that you can store your coin offline and you'll get the private keys for it. safer for being hack unless they hack your PC

It really doesn't matter what wallet in hold the coins. You hold you're coins in a block references in the blockchain. As long as you hold you're private keys, you can access it from any wallet.

I want to choose a wallet to hold bitcoin. Which one is the best and has no bugs and problems? Which is worse? Its easy to install and easy to use. Any wallet you have access to its private key is cool in holding bitcoins for long, which you can keep keys offline to avoid any kind of hacking and to keep your Bitcoin safe.. Smiley Smiley

Paper wallet or A hardware wallet but you need to store it in many different places just in case it's good for long term but if you do short terms just put it in exchages

You can have a look at Bittrex here www.bittrex.com and Binance here www.binance.com I like their security level for  both of them there are so good with further security measure of 2FA which will send some signal to your personal smartphone  before any access will be granted to your wallet with either of them.

I think the services of wallets vary from countries to countries, all wallets are not available worldwide. For me , Coinbase has been the best to use as I believe in long term investments and also it's really convenient to use. And as for bugs, I can't assure any wallet fully free of bugs, it has been a problem for a while now, all you can do is use it properly not giving any chance for problems to arise.

Only offline wallets. I recommend TREZOR because it has the least holes in the software. Very easy to use ...

You can use any bitcoin wallet, whichever you like. There is no good wallet and a bad wallet, every wallet have some bugs and some pretty amazing stuff but every wallet are pretty the same, all have a function of keeping the bitcoins safe by keeping the private keys secure and public address connected to the internet. But the common practice back in 2015 was using a computer which never gets connected to the internet as cold storage unit and signing the transactions manually on that computer whenever needed to transact.

I recommend using external wallet such as ledger and trezzor nano for holding long-term bitcoin. because the wallet is now very safe and good for long term use. we know if hacker attacks can happen at any time and the wallet can anticipate.

I agree about the poll, this would be interesting to see how many people keep their coins online.

Of course, keeping it cold is much more secure, but don't end up like that guy whose harddrive got thrown in the trash and he had to dig through a dumpster to try and recover $1 mil worth of coins... unsuccessfully. It's just like holding onto physical gold, it has to be taken care of.

Don't keep all your eggs in one basket, right? Some can be online, some can be offline. Keep 10% on a platform like Binance to trade aggressively, and be glad that 90% is somewhere safe and sound.

the term 'best' really comes down to what you deem to be the most important factor. me, personally, at least when it comes to BTC and ETH, I value security over convenience, and so I always recommend going with a hardware wallet like Ledger. there are definitely more steps involved when it comes to sending from a hardware wallet but at least you have the peace of mind knowing that it's basically unhackable, and you're 100% in control of your wallet. If you leave it on an exchange then you always face the possibility of a hack but, of course, with the bigger exchanges like Coinbase, Bittrex and Binance you probably don't have to worry much. However, there's also the consideration that many projects (e.g. ICOs, airdrop campaigns, etc) require you to send certain coins/tokens from a wallet and not an exchange (wallet) so that's another reason why keeping it in some sort of a wallet, whether it'd be web-based or hardware, is still preferable over keeping it on an exchange wallet.

You should create a poll for this, on top of page if its possible , this is a really interesting thread, and it would be very useful to see which one is the best "wallet" without scrolling all answers.
