Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?
If the win is really big then you will need to try to backup every single piece of evidence the casino may try to delete, this way you will still have evidence that you are on the right, this should include your bet history, communications with their customer service and the TOS at the time all of this happened, then the next step is to try to get legal representation and sue them, and finally you must try to post your case in as many platforms as possible so they rectify their decision thanks to all the bad press they will receive.

You can try to reach out to the authorities that issue their license, if they are licensed... but that seldom work. The method used most are social media and forums like bitcointalk.org ...under this section ==> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 (Scam Accusations) ...but make sure to provide a lot of proof... or you will be ripped to pieces.

Most of the casino review sites are supposedly ran or funded by casinos... so it does not help to give them a bad review. So I guess ..... communication with the casino are the last resort.  Roll Eyes

To me first I must checked on their compliance to know if I m able to make withdrawal or not, then will also check their withdrawal limits to know how much I could withdraw per day and weeks or even months then followed by kyc if all this are put in places are you still don't allowed to withdraw, I will contact their customer support via live chat, also in the forum to know if their customer representative will get a feedback to me. If all these are done and yet nothing has been taken places I have no option to declare them scammer on the accusations sections.
That's what you should do before playing gambling so you won't break the rules they wrote. Meanwhile, if you've got a big win and just checked their rules, I guess you made a mistake because you didn't check it beforehand before you signed up. The thing that casinos usually ask of you before allowing or continuing the withdrawal process is to ask you to do KYC and only then will they continue the process. And indeed, you can ask customer support via live chat to find out how to solve your case. And you can also create a thread on their ANN to ask about your case so that they can help to resolve it.
Based from how the OP asked the question, it looks like he knew the casino or gambling platform they are playing on as he mentioned that it is a mid to high rated gambling platform. It also looks like that the OP only encountered an issue after hitting a huge win which probably means that he was already playing and was able to withdraw with normal winnings.

Best first suggestion would be is to contact support to know more about the incident and if they did not provide any response, that's where you should follow through on other means of communication such as the forum.
Actually this is really just a common sense thing on what you would really be doing once you do experience these lock up funds or pending up for those huge wins.Of course you would really be understandable

that you should stick with the current popular sites or platforms which would really make yourself that confident that you wont be experiencing these things.Usually new or non so popular sites do really have

this common problem. This is where they do eventually die or wither away and those who give out best service and offerings on the market will really be the ones who would really sustain.
Its true that this forum itself would really be the best place once you do have some complaints into some crypto related sites.

Ask yourself first if you did something that is against their TOS. Now, if you think you haven't violate any of their rule, you played clean and didn't abuse some kind of bonus then you can ask their customer support why they won't release your winnings. A reputable gambling website will always state the precise reason why they disabled the withdrawal on your account and won't make unreasonable excuses.

Gambling sites that have a good reputation and have high ratings will not refuse payments to their users when they experience big wins unless there are certain violations.  usually gambling sites are more concerned with their reputation than acting unfairly on one user which can result in bringing him down, especially if the gambling site is very familiar in this forum
if that happens you only need to attach strong evidence and mention the related gambling site and discuss it here to get the best solution from the manager so that his reputation is maintained
Best solution from the manager? No, I don't think they can do anything. They are only being paid to manage a campaign. Problems inside the gambling site is already out of their business but if it's only a minor issue like an error in the webpage then some managers can help. I've seen a few before though.

Anyway, the op wants to do a legal action and I think that means lawyers and the court are now involved. Posting the complaint here inside the forum is only a normal complaint and not a legal one but like you said, the complainant needs to prepare a strong evidence and he must tell the truth because if he is lying the court will know it and he can't win his case.

Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?
Well, if you're playing in a high rated casinos with good reputation, often they're fast to resolve such problem because they dont want this single issue to ruin their reputation. But that is, if your winnings are legit and you dont break any rules stated on their T&C. What you can do is to contact their support, it's the fastest way to raise your concern. If nothing happens you can post here in scam accusations with all your proofs (it would be good if they have an active announcement thread here) to spread awareness also to other users. If the casino has a licensed, you can contact their regulators for help and to investigate.

Here in the forum, there are a lot of gambling casinos which is already building a good reputation and last long for over a year the number of players here have already experience and filtered out the information if this gambling is ideal to play but of course still don't forget to make your own background research, not all the gambling casino is suitable with your gambling habits it is good if you check what are the perks, bonuses, deposits, withdrawals, terms and condition and faqs of the platform so before playing you didn't waste your funds as a deposit just to play.

All I knew about the process is the general one, I might still be wrong about it though. As far as I know, we can complain and submit a report to the governing body of the casino, the platform/governance where they acquired their gambling license. I've read some threads and articles telling they will pursuit the casino, but haven't heard of the result. It's a long process and an expensive one for sure.

So that's why there is a need for a forum, as a forum for everyone's information or experience, of course if that happens, you can report it on this forum, even better if the manager of that party is on this forum. Of course we don't want conflict, we hope it will be a solution every time if something happens, because everyone can make mistakes.

The right thing to do first is to ask why are not they paying you, find out first what they need from you so you can give them what they want, then screenshots of all the pieces of evidence like your transactions and your communications from the casino and most important, is your dashboard, you can post it here in Bitcointalk, askgambler or popular platform where they will be alarmed on your issue, there are many cases where tey resolve the case after the issue was posted her in Bitcointalk and other platforms.

5. If after all above they start giving you nonsense stories, like requesting your marriage certificate or saying that they need your photo in 3723x1234 resolution, then it is a time to start worrying

I thought I had already seen all the nonsense arguments that some scam casinos like to give to not pay customers, but this is the first time I read that the scam casino can also ask for a marriage certificate, I honestly can't understand why they would ask for a marriage certificate ? these scammers have no limits, they think people are too stupid not to realize that it doesn't make sense for them to ask for certain documents and worse than asking for a high resolution photo when the person has already sent them a very visible photo is another thing that irritates, and irritates because the damned ask for all this but they are anonymous.

If you won fair and square I don't see any reason to hold your money but they may ask KYC first, I saw stake asked source of funds.

certain casinos know very well that customers are winning fairly but they don't pay, and they do it to steal people's money, you can see this in this casino:

1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts ( Big scammers )

these big scammers use their TOS to not pay, for them most people who win are cheating and have had many such cases in other casinos, and they always use their TOS to not pay. That's why people have to be careful, don't create accounts and make deposits in shady casinos, there are good casinos like stake and so many others that are on this forum

If in any case, they won't answer your question or have not provided any clear information, I suggest that you contact them here on the forum and expose your issue to the public. This way, you'll be able to get their attention as they'll be risking their reputation if they will not be able to answer and provide any clarification on your issue.

posting the problem here on the forum is a good thing because it can price the casino to solve the problem, but the casinos have a big weapon: "their TOS", even if the customer is right, but if the casino claims that the customer has too many accounts so who else can deny if the casino is the only one that has customer records? that's the problem

Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?
I have been on this forum for 6years now and I frequent the Scam accusations sections and also been a part of different casino's signature campaigns.

What I have seen is that 99% of cases are in the reality the customer using some unfair mean to launder their money or cheating the system meaning the casino was doing fair business. In the rest 1% of cases where the casino was actually at fault, they did enough from their part to compensate the user, but such cases actually are very rarely happening but if reported get resolved quickly.

So there are two sides of the story and I am always willing to know both sides before commenting. A reputed casino would not hold back payouts unless they have a very serious reason to.

These forum are great ways to alarm the gamblor where to go and where not to .. it is better to do some research and not to go blindly for anything.
Look for the info on internet and then make up mind.
You can also start a new discussion threat to check feedback of the professional gambler.

Generally looking for reasons and contacting support will make it clear to find the source of restriction, checking all possible variations before accusing casino for scamming is my suggestion. If casino management refuses to pay, you can open scam accusation and fill reviews on mentioned websites of this thread.
As you said the best thing to do is to contact the supporters team and explain what you have experiencing or what you have passing through in the platform to them and I believe that there is no way they will not reciprocate to you provided it concern they casino platform. Because filing an accusation to them will not also make it then to pay you if they found out so the best way is to chat up with them politely other through email all through their supporting thing of Live chat to help you out.
Don't forget to be patient for a while because they need time to investigate our case and see if it's their fault or ours.
But usually, many can't wait for a while, especially if they win a lot of money and that's normal because they think that they won't be able to get that big winning money in the end.
But if the big win is pure because they played honestly and there are no indications of cheating, the casino should have no problem withdrawing the winning money immediately.
But if they still intend to charge the casino with fraud, that's also up to them because maybe the casino just can't pay the very big winnings to the winner.
What's necessary in this scenario is to get in touch with the management of the platform first, so if their is anything wrong with the site, i think it's easier to understand and sort it out. Anyone who is complaining of a case of funds is not afraid of investigation, it's clear and understandable from my perception, except it's a situation where by you are complaining without fact, actually everyone knows that they will look into the account before responding to a complain.
I think you are right. Without contacting the platform management and just waiting for their response, we won't be able to get it done, although if we do that, there's also no guarantee it'll be over in no time.
They would help if they cared about his reputation and would instead be willing to investigate our case as soon as possible.
And maybe they will compensate more if they end up making a mistake.
But that will not happen if we play on a site that does not have a reputation because they will let cases happen to their members instead.

That's the difficult thing to answer. It's basically you can't force them even make a report to the officials caused by they have been operating abroad from your country. What you can do to push them to pay what you deserve it. There are some members have been facing such problems. They were refusing to pay the big winners. IMO if mid casino may not have ability or enough funds to pay the winner. that's why using most crowded site is a must

Prevention is always better than cure. The best thing to do is to bet on a trusted site, with years of reputation in the forum, and if they hold your funds it will be for some misunderstanding that you will be able to clarify.

If you do not do that and it is a site that you are not sure of the reputation, two things can happen, that it is actually legit and what I have described above happens, or that they are scammers, with which, in the previous comments they have already explained how to proceed but you can forget about your money.
