Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

I think if you’re gambling with a reputable company then you won’t have this problem. That’s what makes them a reputable company. If for some reason you do have issues, the first thing you need to do is make sure that you didn’t break any rules or do anything illegal. If everything on your end is good and your identity is on file with the casino, then I would first see if you can work the issues out with them. If not, then you can post exactly what happened here and see if the community can be of any help.

The problem is that there are gamblers who play on some mid tier casinos and obviously this is what they will get when they won big. There will be problems when they try to withdraw and will give every reason in the book not to processed or delay it. In your case if you really think that you didn't violate any ToS then you have every right to demand your winnings. As others have said, if they have a live support chat then talk to them and ask for the reasons why they are delaying your withdrawals. Just make sure to screenshot and capture every chat and logs and email.

Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

big gambling sites, will always pay winnings if you are worthy in all their gambling requirements, but as evidence you can prepare what is needed to be evidence later when the platform audits your data,
But what if the site ask for KYC when you surely not violated any rules? this is the problem most of the time here in crypto gambling though very little to happen in Long time gambling sites, but always remember that gambling will always risky either in betting or in gambling site that we chooses to enter and play.
so best to understand the situation and only deal in trusted site we have here in forum.

No lawyer will go after the casino especially if the casino is located in a foreign country. The best way to solve this, is creating a forum thread, showing evidence of how you got scammed, leaving negative trust ratings and creating a flag.

If the casino operates in the same country you live in, then yes, you may sue them and get your money safely but most of these casinos operate in those small Caribbean countries.

In this forum, there are two or three places you can lay the complain here. You can complain in the scam and accusation board, The casino ANN thread if there is any and the manger of the casino signature campaign if there is any. With these three places with strong evidences that you won the game (s) and you  were not paid. The forum intelligence on scamming issue will look into the matter and invite the Manager of the casino signature campaign thread and the Manger of the ANN thread to come and explain their parts of the allegation.

Then outside the forum you can complain in askgambler. Before you start the complain make sure screenshot or copy all the conversations between you and the casino support team as evidence.

That is what I have for you. Please before gambling in any casino online read T/C before gambling to know whether you have violented the company Policies.

If this happens then what we have to do is to send a message to them on the website and make a village that we are experiencing then wait for a response from them if indeed the site can be trusted then the big victory we get will definitely be given, but events like this often happen on unofficial sites and they only take advantage of the users and they only give small victories to the participants, and the rules applied are not in accordance with what happened like your current events, if this happens on the official website maybe they are investigating and waiting until your payment can be made.

And as mentioned above, we cannot rely on reviews because some of them are just paid reviewers or they are just reviewing their gambling sites.

if the gambling platform is on the forum, of course, we can see the reputation of the casino. not to mention the casinos that have representatives on the forums, that's also important because they can help us when there are difficult problems to solve with the support team on the web.

including if there is a problem with the big wins that we get but they refuse to pay, of course, there is a problem with our account. or indeed the casino is in trouble.
I doubt this will be done by a casino with a good reputation on the forums.

Generally looking for reasons and contacting support will make it clear to find the source of restriction, checking all possible variations before accusing casino for scamming is my suggestion. If casino management refuses to pay, you can open scam accusation and fill reviews on mentioned websites of this thread.

This is the hard part since you cannot do anything if the gambling website tried to scam you, and even if you report it to authorities there are a lot of documents needed before it proceeds. It will just consume your time and money. And, sadly we can only report it to forums just like BCT which can alarm people about the scam tactics of the gambling site.

And as mentioned above, we cannot rely on reviews because some of them are just paid reviewers or they are just reviewing their gambling sites.

As you said the best thing to do is to contact the supporters team and explain what you have experiencing or what you have passing through in the platform to them and I believe that there is no way they will not reciprocate to you provided it concern they casino platform. Because filing an accusation to them will not also make it then to pay you if they found out so the best way is to chat up with them politely other through email all through their supporting thing of Live chat to help you out.
Don't forget to be patient for a while because they need time to investigate our case and see if it's their fault or ours.
But usually, many can't wait for a while, especially if they win a lot of money and that's normal because they think that they won't be able to get that big winning money in the end.
But if the big win is pure because they played honestly and there are no indications of cheating, the casino should have no problem withdrawing the winning money immediately.
But if they still intend to charge the casino with fraud, that's also up to them because maybe the casino just can't pay the very big winnings to the winner.

Low to mid-tier or rated then this is where i do believe that blocked withdrawals or alibis just not for them to pay would really be likely to happen but not into those reputable ones.
They wont really be reaching out on being reputable or popular if they werent that paying when they are just starting or just been new in the business. They might be experiencing some
issues yet there's no such thing about perfect reputation which issues and complaints might be raised up but eventually it gets resolved and they wont really be risking on tarnishing their
reputation that they had build up for years and they cant just afford and would really be that sensible that they would really be resolving issues as much as they could.
For those who didnt pay then its better to post up accusations so that people on the community would be aware.

Honestly, I think all you can do is complain, and this forum is a good place to start, though if the platform have made up their mind not to pay, I don't think complaining will make them change their mind, if gambling is legal in your region and you can afford it, and also if money in question is worth the hassle, then I would suggest hiring a lawyer to sue the casino, this can be the only effective way that guarantees you receiving your winnings, but it will cost you both time and money.

The first thing to do is to ask the customer service directly, if they give an unclear statement about this, then you should make a report or create a thread on this forum, even better if their manager is on this forum, then you can directly give a dm, or reply to the post. So that they can find out and provide solutions, even this can be a lesson and experience for many people.

That's really not a good sign for a site even if they are a high rated site because there's no way you won't be able to be paid without a valid reason from their side. First thing first is to have it recorded or take some screenshots regarding the matter and look for ways to put this issue in a legal way.

Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

There are several solutions to this matter, this is just one example of how the scenario could play out. So, in order to make sure that the platform pays up your money in the event that they try to pull a fast one on you, you can use a mediator to act as a middleman between the two parties. This is a service that you can find online or chosen by the platform, but I recommend using an independent third-party mediator because they will be more likely to have no affiliation with either party, and therefore be less likely to take sides. This way, if the dispute arises, you can have a neutral third party arbitrate to help you make a decision on how to proceed and negotiate a fair settlement with the platform.

A mediator cannot force a gambling platform to give you your money. Their only job is to convince the platform to pay up your money as long as you have backed up your claim with proper documentation and evidence. But if submitting your case for review does not help resolve this matter, then the only thing you can do is take legal action against the platform in an effort to finally receive the prize money owed to you. This can be time-consuming and costly, so make sure that you have enough evidence and data to back up your case if you chose to proceed with this course of action.

But a casino can not refuse to pay you your funds if two things are not involved, i.e either the casino is a scam or you cheated to win such game. Because in as much as the fund was won legitimately, and the casino is genuine, you will definitely have your funds paid up. And that is why I always try to advise people to gamble on casinos who has an active presence here on the bitcointalk forum, so that it's representative can help aid to recover your funds from the said casino in times of trouble like this. So in that case, the first step will be to lay a complain on the "Scam accusation" section of the forum, why you wait for the casino representative to handle the issue amicably

If that is the case then you have to take it to the public first before thinking about legal actions, like posting about this in public forum and tag them to get a proper response and still you're not convinced then you have to contact the lawyer and probably you can even ban the gambling platform in your country.

Which is unlikely to happen with reputed casinos, every casino had max payout limit and also their terms so they can only refuse to pay when you violated any if their rules of the game or using the platform.

If they didn't pay you after winning huge amount and they also have ann thread here in the forum then you should post a scam accusation thread and provide the proof that they didn't plan on paying you with the amount even if the said amount is not even comparable to their bankroll if they have huge bankroll. If it is online then at least try to send message their customer support and ask why they didn't pay you. It may be because you have somr fault in your part like maybe you might have violate their rules.

Could you believe I read a case like this from a local newspaper in my country, it's really disheartening for anyone to legally win a bet or lottery only for the company to start playing pranks. I guess the best is to report to a board/regulator in charge of gambling in their country after a failed attempt to get the money back from them. This is a dispute and the police might not be able to help in terms of jurisdiction or lack of technicality in the case. It is after this you can file court charges if the regulator could not help. But you must be sure you are dealing with a duly regulated company and have money to do all these.

Hire some wise guys to break their legs. I am joking of course. Although that would be a dark option  Tongue

The best thing to do is to make them nervous by showing proof of their unfair actions to their social medias. They really do not want to lose customers so they will be sure to quickly remedy the situation. This has proven true time and time again. Unless, of course, the gambling casino website in question is scamming on purpose and does not care about user retention. In which case you might have a problem. Especially since they probably covered their tracks in some offshore country known for its corruption...

In that case, bad luck.

Depends on the site, If you play on a scam site there is no way you can get the money. Most of they do, will act you act against their term & condition (Playing on restricted county, abused promotion/referral, and some shitty reason). Most of casino, is using a virtual office + curacao license and it's really easy to be get. I don't think you can chase them + legal fee is more expensive than my winning.
