The technology behind the coin and it's unique idea of the is part of basic factor that differenciate the coin from the pack. These two factor is just the basic element that must be conspicuos and associated with a coin. After these two are in place, you can start working on building the community around the coin!
The altcoins create fitches which update our all day life and we can use them every day. 
In my opinion all community members and their project plus demand of the coin which concept is on that coin etc make the altcoin valuable.
I think the solutions it offers it is the biggest factor because sooner or later crypto will be a hit in the near future !

For a coin to be valuable, I believe it should have very good ideas, good blockchain and smart contracts, it should have good team and a very good community that will support its growth. The coin should also have very good market and it should not be overhyped.
Altcoin is valuable because of its foundation technologies.The only thing that makes a coin more valuable it's the hype coin has created in the market which is again nothing but money invested in the marketing.

From my experience I would say that successful project which would solve the relevant problems of humanity will definitely have the big price of coin, but opposite is that Cardano is having a low price.
The demand of it makes it valuable . Good advertising, and the coin is able to fulfill financial requirements .
In my opinion the community is very important for the value, but for me the developer team is even more important. And of course the tech/project should have an real life usage. Too many coins out there are pumped without an working product.

IMHO there are different aspects that makes a coin valuable, simple put, it has to have a utility and must have users, so it has to build a community and I see some good projects fail to become successful because they look to fail in spreading the news about them in the right way and thru the right channels. They have a lot of specialists in their team but they poorly advertise or don´t feed information thru the presale period.
I think there are several factors that make Bitcoin valuable. Despite the virtual concept, the value of Bitcoin can come from the many attempts made to create this virtual money. Behind the coins, their concept and long-term sustainability in markets and prices are the main factors for making valuable coins.
I believe only product behind altcoin does really make it valuable. As for other factors,like listing on proper exchanges, team, community, hype - all of them matter, but i keep thinking that only produt is essential part of altcoin value and nothing can replace it.
Their volumes are raising and it works like a snowball. People's investing is increasing it so it is possible to improve altcoins' value, but do not forget aboout other factors.

In my mind, the most things make an altcoin becomes very valuable is the trust form the investors and also volume. The trust will define the investors' willingness to involve in the coins. Additionally, the volume of the coins bought will also determine the price and rate of the coin itself.
First and foremost, altcoin makes a product or idea valuable, then a team that is responsible for implementation, and then a community that helps develop.
