I am totally agree. During next three years many things may happen with bitcoin and with it's price and the next halving is coming and it will affect a lot on bitcoin. So I think it's too early to judge now what will happen with bitcoin and how many percent of people will use it.

Yeah, you are definitely correct. No one knows the exact or accurate average percentage of people the actual count in the whole world by 2020. Just every time we talked about the future all comments or answered by the community here was only an speculation nothing is true than can be happen in real.

We can speculate that the user numbers will double every year for the next 10 years.

I think it is in between 60-70% average of people around the world will become the users of Bitcoin. And that is not worst anyhow if that happen, it will be a good effect to all bitcoin enthusiast of course. For sure by that years many merchants are accepting bitcoin.

If that is the case, the price of bitcoin will be very high.

Since no one can ever determine the total number of users then your guess could be right, however it's too big to achieve but there's no impossible with bitcoin and everything will just fall at the right place. In the near future there will be more success considering how people accepted bitcoin.

I have voted 20-30% but it's just a wild guess . Don't have something to base on and most probably all answers are just a guess .
Even what will happen in the next month is hard to predict , What more if its 2020? And it will be harder if you got nothing decent to base on . The future is uncertain we don't know if something huge will happen that might boost bitcoins popularity, Well I hope it happens while I'm still alive .

I think this is just a survey not a prediction, Because as we all know none of us will never know what will happen tomorrow for real. Actually it's just a poll. Most of the answers and votes there are opinions and guesses. The truth is we don't know what is going to happen few years from now, though we could speculate based on the things that is happening right now. If the poll is right then I think we are too small compared to fiat user if we would only be 2% by 2020.

Now bitcoin is using by most probably 5-10% people of the world.And since bitcoin is spreading rapidly and people all over the world are started to accept bitcoin I think In 2020 bitcoin will be used by 20-30% of people in the world.I am not sure cause anything can happen, may be bitcoin will be used by more than 30% or it will dead before 2020.

I guess that is too much of an estimate, it's majority of the population of the world and I don't think it's possible for 2020. There must be something big event that would suddenly change the world in the years to come within the period of 2020 from now. But to predict what it is, I don't know because I believe it will not happen. It's unrealistic and it will just discourage us from hoping if it will not happen.

Perfectly right. People in internet who knows about bitcoin will utilize and spread it around the world in some months if the 5 % people are using it. We could say in 2020 may it reach to 2 to 5 percent people.

I think that 5-10% is kind of unrealistic number. If bitcoin have that big amount of users then bitcoin might be really popular anywhere but the fact is the opposite, there's no reliable data indeed but there might an accurate prediction existed, for your information 5% of population is 375 millions people

That means legalizing bitcoin and regulating it already when we see it being one of the computer subjects being offered in schools...That's not going to be good, someone will be controlling the use of it, we won't be experiencing too much freedom in using bitcoin by that time...

there is a possibility that when it is legal, there will be a law being passed by a certain government that accepts it as legal and citing some rules in using it, including the identity of the users, and recording will not only be done in blockchain but also by the establishment that is used for cashing it in and out...

Any Government trying to impose restrictions on bitcoin would be bit troublesome. Either they could accept it or deny it. Controlling it would be different ball game specifically if country who are against anonymity.
