Do not focus on one cryptocurrency, I suggest you divide your investments in order to avoid huge losses in the future. We can't really tell what coin will succeed or fail, you have to secure your investments by putting on at least 4 different coins in the market.

For 10,000 you can buy a few coins from the top 20: distribute most of the money on more stable and expensive coins, such as the ethereum, and invest the minor part in smaller but fast-growing coins. But you must find the right moment for purchase.

Well, I think it is not a bad decision to invest ETH in this current market. It would be a very profitable if it will recover in the next few days. I strongly advice that you invest now.
This is a huge sume! I think, that you need to devine your sume on several parts. You can buy a part of Ethereum - because it is the most stabil and usualy returns to the high price. Also. my advice - bought some coins from ICO or another underestimated coins which show good price from their all time high.
You should buy ethereum. Use a good chunk of that money to invest in ethereum, then use another good chunk of it to invest in bitcoin. After you are done with investing in ethereum and bitcoin then you can use whatever is left of that money to invest into smaller altcoins like litecoin just so your portfolio is diversified

I would better prefer the TOP 10 coins, like Litecoin or Eth, they has a huge community which makes better capitalization.
Buy Tezos and Omisego, they will let you disappoint. Tezos will launch in the Q3, it will be surpass ethereum in the next few months. Omisego have a big market in southeast asia.
I would put half of it in top crypto like ETH, NEO, LTC, IOTA, NEM, XRP, ADA etc.. I am not sure for EOS just yet. Eos development is slightly confusing for me now. So, better hold on that. The other half I would get into higher risk new crypto especially those with solid background like great potential with big name team/advisors etc, but drop a lot since beginning of the year. If you can hold, I think you will definitely making money going forward as market recover.
I would buy such coins at the best place, which will grow to the maximum in 2018-2019 and divide by ten shares of 1000 dollars each.
