First - bitcoin will live for a long time. Second, if the bitcoin era ends, then more advanced digital technology will replace it. The Altcoins will die and our grandchildren will forget about them. It's okay - today we earn on altcoyins, in the future our descendants will make money on something more technological. Maybe money in general will disappear and everyone will be satisfied with life without earning.  Huh

Hopefully all the other tokens decouple from BTC, that way it wont matter if it dies, and also their prices wont be so closely correlated.

Since every coin has its own idea and usage I believe they will still live even when bitcoin dies, just that they patronage and popularity will go down

In my own observation on these past few months,if the bitcoin price in the market goes down, all other coins are also down. Other coins will remain,if bitcoin's totally died?

Any opinion please!...

I don’t think it will happen but in my assumption it will fall into chaos and collapse of cryptocurrency because it is the formidable source currency and where everything has been originated.

this is a difficult analysis, first we have to keep the mind away like this because BTC is the parent of all existing coins or what is often called an altcoin, if BTC has a price drop then the altcoin will automatically drop, I think if BTC doesn't exist then it is likely that altcoin will not sold

Bitcoin To The Moon 📈📈📈
It seems to me if the bitcoin dies, then all other coins will die too. The bitcoin is the very first cryptocurrency which appeared in 2009. It is such to itself the guarantor if the bitcoin disappears, then the trust to the others will not be any more and they too will disappear over time.
I do not think that will happen because even though bitcoin is the first crypto, but the life of the coin is because the volume itself is not because so if there is a coin that has a high volume of coins that will continue to live and will have value because it is still in demand by the market

Not sure about your opinion regarding it that the altcoin which has a lot of usefulness will generate its own value without the help from the bitcoin. I meant you can see how some platforms to be used by the government and that's what I'm talking about. That depends on how many advantage can be provided by the platform itself.

Hmmm i don't have much answer for your question because i don't think there will be the time that bitcoin will die even though the price will decline but still i think all of them will follow to die

I think that most of the coins will really die if Bitcoin collapses, but still remain coins that will continue to exist.

I also agree with the opinion that bitkoyn will not die. At least in this century. And if bitkoyn leaves, then in its place will be altoquin - for example, the ether.

I would think if Bitcoin died off it would take a coordinated attack from the highest levels.  If this were to happen these individuals would have a coin to fill the power vacuum.  IF you can take out Bitcoin you have the power to replace it with whatever you want.

Needless to say I don't think this will happen.

Compare rates on different exchanges & swap.
It is almost impossible or not that easy for Bitcoin to die completely especially via market factor (maybe by serious hacking of the network or something). But if this happens, there will definitely be a big panic and most coins will crash seriously (only few coins will have zero values though). Those with good use case like Steem will still retain some healthy values.

I can't imagine how Bitcoin can die. Of course its price may drop even more, but it can not just disappear.

First and foremost, not all downtrend movements of bitcoin causes altcoins to move down, most of them bull when btc bears.
Secondly, though I don't see btc dying, I still won't believe that it's death would lead to the death of all altcoins. Many altcoins are built on blockchain, not on bitcoin. Bitcoin's existence affects altcoins to a very large extent, but there is also a limit to that.
