That's the primary reason but we hope it's not only a hype and this coming update would bring substantial increase of value to ETH.
It was purely affected by the year last year and this year with this big news, I think it deserve some good attention by the investors, currently
slowly climbing to $130 and without a big push, this would be hard for ETH to grow again.

We just have to remain optimistic at this moment.

Update will be on this month and i would like to see ethereum platform will do that asap consider that was a big step to prevent the inflation dude. That has become the main problem in ether when we didn't know how much hardca for supply.

most likely they deliberately did not offer anything that could boost the price back to a high rate, but they had other strategies to be able to raise the quality of the coin.
we can only wait for the bullrun market to come in the near future and hope that ethereum can also improve as it progresses.

Not sure, ETH is gradually losing the community because its value has fallen rapidly and made many investors suspicious of it. If hard fork ETH continues to delay in February then I think people will stop investing in this project and will focus on other projects like TRON, NEO ..
