Ethereum always decline in every day every time more than bitcoin. But i prefer to invest Ethereum the best because every ico platform are arranged by Ethereum.
That's because Ethereum is not as strong as Bitcoin so the decline can be very deep even though Bitcoin is not deep enough but Ethereum also often increases very high so if we invest in Ethereum when prices are low then it is very good especially in the long run.

Your not missing anything, this is th real market condition and we are in bearest market. No coins increasing prices all is decreasing so that why ethereum also in low price. The news you heard is a speculation just do a review in actual market condition .

The crypto market is bearish right now so it affects the eth platform pricing. Also the canceled schedule of fork last january may have affected the confidence of investors. But i how things will turn around when the fork di come this february
Ethereum will be good in future. Because ethereum has good blockchain technology of ERC 20 solution. Iam also belive ethereum again will raise there high value in next year.

I was also surprised to see the price of eth plummet, but after discovering that the hardfork that was slated to come up in January had been posted, I later perceived that some might have got the news before it went into circulation and others on seeing the price plummet, they started selling theirs too, which is the cause of the drop in price.
Ethereum follows bitcoin price like all the other altcoins wich means that if bitcoin goes down, ethereum will follow so eth news had nothing to do with the pricing drop and the fork went well

Ethereum will be fine and will rise again in the market.
Everything will be fine in the near future though it is suffering now we dont need to worry about it.

All market is down, not only ethereum so i think there is no point of looking for specific reasons about ethereum to drop. Basically eth is still one of the strongest coins in crypto market. It’s still very promising, i feel like i am very patient and i can wait. I’m not worried at all.
Probably during the next months the price of ethereum will go up since the upgrade that we have been expecting for months will happen at the end of the next month so I am not really worried about a coin like ethereum that has demonstrated over the years the huge amount of profits it can give to all of those that are capable to hold their coins for long enough, so if you are really convinced about ethereum it could be a good idea to buy some coins while you can.the last high will definitely bring them a good profits after, it's needed to have some faith that market will be boomed again and investors will

I think that news you heard must have come from the Constantinople Fork/Update. It created a lot of buzz and positive movement in the ethereum market but since it has been postponed now, the price has gone back down
for now, etherum will still be stable, but in the next few months etherum can just fall, it can rise. there are two things for that, namely the news that vitalik will go away, and it will certainly impact on etherum. the second is the hardfork plan, we know if the hardfork will definitely make the value slowly rise.
