I believe that now it is best to continue to hold your coins for the future. After all, investment in ICO is a risky decision today. Therefore, it is better to be patient - the prices of coins will gradually improve, help investors to receive income.
It all depends on what you have altcoins . Some are better to sell at once, some are better to hold
As I am investing in very few altcoins , which I startex investing recently like Eth , Neo , Xlm , Ont I am going to hold them until Bull market arrives . I want to make atleast 10% - 25% with those as I dont believe in day trading so much.
I think that the best way is to trade when you have more coins and the prices become higher. To my mind, you need to trade coins soon when their price increases and you will be able to earn more
If the altcoins that you received are promising hodl it for a while its up to you how long. The rest its better to sell it before it loses its value.

For me I will study the ones I have and see if they have potentials if they do then I will surely try and keep them as long as I can.. I've seen 100$ grow to 10000 before so I learnt my lessons
