Guns must be tightly controlled.

There will be a lot of gun deaths.

Gun control is definitely a big deal for civilians.

In my own opinion, Gun control or Gun Ban is every Nation's need, not just every election period but through out the year.
I am PRO to Gun control because the rise in violent crimes has gotton increasingly this past few years. We have violent crimes in the past, but the ease with which individuals can own and have guns have cause alot of arguments to quickly go to gun-related death.Maybe people can no longer control their temper or maybe there are too many people out there bumping each other in wrong way.
In Fact, Gun Control is becoming an issue all over the world.
Just like here in the Philippines, Gun ban is something that is always done during election periods. This is because it has quite become common to election rivals to take care of their opponents in a violent way. We wont ever forget the lives lost due to election violence and I thing its only fitting that we try to impose stricter laws and harsher punishments to those people who break those laws.

I think gun possession should be very important to control, im in favor to have guns the business and homeowners to defend their property in case of something happened. BUT there should have proper guidance to it because guns can also be used in suicide, homicide or even accident at home. It is not just to protect.

Suicide can't be prevented, even if you ban all the guns in the world. If someone want to kill himself, he will find a way to do it. And regarding homicides, you are ignoring the important fact that unlicensed fire-arms are used in the vast majority of the murders and homicides. Stricter gun laws won't be having any impact on the proliferance of unlicensed firearms.

Furthermore, if you have a motorcycle (or bicycle to troll the greenies) in the house, it is a much bigger risk for bodily injury:

  ...and there were almost 467,000 bicycle-related injuries.3

...over 67,000 persons are injured by firearms each year.

Then add to bicycles: snowboards, ladders, scissors, etc, etc, etc.

Of course in terms of death, pharmaceuticals win the prize hands down.  Add to that the million/year people diagnosed with autism in recent years which can be in some cases and by some reckonings a fate worse than death.  It brings down the entire family often times.  At least the banksters often end up with whatever the fam had in the end.

In a place where there are some criminalities that are happening,  it is better to have a gun as a protectwfor yourself if ever there are someone are trying to hari you. For me,  everyone that has the skill and very responsible person should have it.

Gun 'control' affects the law abiding people.  It also affects those who are not law abiding.  So, gun control does create a barrier to owning this kind of lethal weapon.  Sure one can find a merchant who will sell a gun illegally but you need to find such a person.

The drive to own a gun is similar to the "arms race" between nations.  The house robber down the street has a knife.  I had better get a sword.  Now that I have the sword, the house robber decides he needs a hand gun.  It should be easier to obtain legally than illegally.  At least that will make it a deterrent for robbing rather than a tool for robbing.

Gun control slows down the arms race between individuals in society.  There are other defensive ways you can protect your home.  One is to have multiple locks on the door.  An alarm system so the robber doesn't have the element of surprise.  Avoid indicating that you are not home.  Don't announce to the whole world when you are going on vacation.

Guns are made for one purpose, and that purpose is to kill.
I believe that guns are not weapons, they are tools. How they are used is up to the person holding it.
Guns are especially dangerous in the hands of people who don't know how to use them (i.e., kids and teenagers) as well as those who are mentally ill and/or have a temper problem.
Gun control will not stop violence because a violent person doesn’t need a gun to be violent.
After the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, support for gun control increased dramatically.

Generally in America, the support for gun control has outweighed the support for gun rights.
Are gun control laws constitutional?
What would be your ideal set of laws regarding firearms?

It use by protection if risk or something bad happen , now a days people with gun think theyre cool. So to be honest learn the basic gun control first is whether you are angry on something at dont use your gun just to release your anger or stress. Next is always secure your gun daily , keep them away from the children and always put your gun on the safe mode thats all. And its like a power though so be responsible.

I think that gun control is necessary, because if the weapon is not controlled then the result of the war is a failure, so controlling the weapons is necessary, but not just the controlled weapons but also the controllers,
thank you

I'm pro gun control. If the selling and usage of gun is regulated to people who only is fit to have one, then it can be really helpful to avoid bad incidents.

Attempts to tighten gun control has never led to anything. In the world where you have freedom people have the right to arms. Protect your family and life can only be man himself.

So in my opinion, we don't need to control guns, because even if we make laws about gun control, bad people don't follow the rules.

Most firearms of all kinds are already widely available in the United States. No doubt any criminal can choose the gun to his liking but I don't consider this a weighty argument for making gun even more accessible.

The FBI concluded that criminals with 'grade up' if their preferred weapon is not available.  That is, they will tend to choose a weapon which is more lethal rather than less.

They also concluded that criminal require weapons for protection against their own peers so going without is a non-option no matter what the law says...and as a reminder to the not-so-bright, these people are classified as 'criminals' because of their interaction with laws.  This self-protection against their own is one of their primary incentive for carrying weapons while using them for criminal endeavors tends to be more secondary.

When confronted with these facts most 'progressives' will probably argue that if guns were made illegal then criminals will drop their criminal ways and go to med school.  Especially if it's free.  My belief is that most 2018 vintage progressives are border-line retarded.  Particularly when it comes to system analysis.

===

In real life, a few weeks ago a neighbor of mine who's husband died a few years ago was burglarized while she was away on travel.  A sharp-eyed neighbor saw the criminals leaving her driveway, investigate, and called the cops.  The perps were caught after a car and foot chase.

The perps were meth heads as is usual for my area.  They made the mistake of stealing a few guns.  Had they not, they would have spend a few weeks in the county jail.  Since the crime did involve guns, they will be going to the federally operated big-house for some number of years.

I point this out because the FBI report I mentioned suggested increasing penalties for gun related crimes.  Very common-sense and it has worked;  gun related crimes plateaued after this action was put into place a few decades ago and have been declining ever since.  Basically criminals are pretty aware of how the law works and take pains to avoid performing crimes with or relating to guns.  People who constantly say 'we need laws' don't know their asses from their elbows.  We've got plenty of laws, and they work remarkably well.

Our guns aren't going anywhere, the Govt. is not capable of taking them all. It's logistically not feasible.

Only policemen should have the authorization to wear a gun. The rest is just no-sens.

Why Did it Have to be ... Guns?

People accuse me of being a single-issue writer, a single-issue thinker, and a single-issue voter, but it isn't true. What I've chosen, in a world where there's never enough time and energy, is to focus on the one political issue which most clearly and unmistakably demonstrates what any politician—or political philosophy—is made of, right down to the creamy liquid center.

Make no mistake: all politicians—even those ostensibly on the side of guns and gun ownership—hate the issue and anyone, like me, who insists on bringing it up. They hate it because it's an X-ray machine. It's a Vulcan mind-meld. It's the ultimate test to which any politician—or political philosophy—can be put.

If a politician isn't perfectly comfortable with the idea of his average constituent, any man, woman, or responsible child, walking into a hardware store and paying cash—for any rifle, shotgun, handgun, machinegun, anything—without producing ID or signing one scrap of paper, he isn't your friend no matter what he tells you.

Different countries and different regions have different needs. In Texas where the distance between settlements is high you need something to defend. But in New York where people are close by the need of guns is not that important.

I see gun control as disarming the law obeying people (and keep the criminals armed, as they don't care about gun control), for eliminating the ability of citizens to resist/challenge the state/tyranny.
