As market is now I don't think anyone can actually predict it. Many predicted and it failed them so anyone predicting would definitely fail. Altcoins can only grow dependent on BTC. I could vividly remember a group and predicted last week that it would be altcoins season but am really surprised to see everything dip. It's an unpredictable market.

Impossible to predict, uncharted waters for now. Holding 70% BTC and the rest divided into ETH, NWC and LINK. No trade zone for me ATM.

If you want the altcoin season to come like 2017, then we first need to eliminate the altcoin scam in this market.
How? the market is not follow regulated yet, in fact last 2017 some of the scams also experience the bull run, and that is the reason why a lot of new investors came in because they think investing in crypto makes easy money, in short, they got FOMO'd and bitcoin started it all.

And then the price of bitcoin goes up to $ 20k again, which is the essential requirement for us to see a great altcoin season.

Bitcoin will make a new ATH in time, we don't know when but I know bitcoin is capable of doing that even in less than a year.

We have to wait and be patient as altcoins will eventually recover when bitcoin becomes stable and achieved a new ATH.

There have been a lot of predictions about the altcoin season since 2018. But I still haven't seen this prediction really accurate, in my opinion we will never see the altcoin season like 2017 because now now there are so many scam projects and dead. So it is hard for altcoins to be pumped as strongly as many expect
well, since 2017/2018, I haven't seen an abundant rise in altcoin prices. I hope this year the altcoin season arrives, it's just that so many trials have taken place this year, and it seems to make that opportunity unknown again.

If Coronavirus cure is not detected this year will become a failure for many, even after Bitcoin halving become a success it will not bring huge difference to crypto till coming year, Coronavirus have to go or all hope will be lost for altcoin season
Coronavirus will not go away if everyone does not try to cure or help health care professionals in eradicating coronavirus, but over time I read the news circulating that there are several countries that have succeeded in healing patients with coronavirus, although not all have succeeded handled or cured.

It's hard to predict when altcoin starts because the crypto market is experiencing turmoil. Maybe some coins have experienced price increases but are still being held back by falling Bitcoin prices.
Predicting is indeed very difficult in crypto, especially for the altcoin season, because most people are clear that the altcoin season has happened once in 2017, and after that the altcoin season no longer occurs until now, and even the signs are not there yet.

Altcoins are very dependent on the main cryptocurrency of Bitcoin, and now we often see that the same dependence of Altcoins on stock indices. Some tokens can theoretically get rid of Bitcoin, if they are used not only in trading on exchanges, but in real applications and practices.

There is no need to share thoughts because you have already mentioned everything about the possibilities of having a Altcoin Season.
This will never come until Bitcoin Bear happens and sure altcoin will follow.
this is the same scenario over and over and nothing really change until this moment.
so if you want this to happen?then follow your number one idea.
Buy Bitcoin now and also your prospective altcoin then Hold ,if all of us do same?then Season of both alt and BTC will come faster.

Bitcoin dominance Increases when more and more people buy and simply hold BTC.
Bitcoin dominance is the percentage of bitcoin to altcoins in a market based on market capitalization. If you are talking in terms on a no-fiat usage then the statement is correct. But if there is fiat involved then the money increasing the portion of bitcoin is not coming from altcoins but total market cap will increase.

Quote
Bitcoin dominance decreases when more and more people sell BTC.
For altcoin precisely and not fiat.

So altcoins fate is purely depend on BTCs price reaction or altcoins are independent???
Altcoins could be independent if they are actually having something to develop and something has a market of its own to generate a demand/supply crisis so as to raise the price of that coin. This is generally not seen with all of the altcoin launched till date so the end result is that thy piggyback on the price of bitcoin.
In my opinion, it has never happened that there has been an altcoin season because it has always adapted to the good or bad times and agreed to any flow of cryptocurrency exchanges.

in my opinion altcoin season will come before the price of bitcoin goes back to bull run, maybe a few months and this year Altcoin can fly high, and altcoin season can happen. All this time people focus on bitcoin, seen by transactions to large number of bitcoin users seen on whalebotalert. the thing we can do is wait
I also hope altcoin season can appear in the near future as most of the major coins have gone through a huge correction over the past few weeks.

Currently, covid-19 is making things more and more unpredictable and you will certainly face other risks during this time. What you need to do now is to keep your property carefully and wait patiently to buy some cheap coins.

In the past, altcoins have enjoyed immense gains during altseasons. Well this happens only if there is Bitcoin dominance... And I believe there are two types of principles to follow them

* Bitcoin dominance Increases when more and more people buy and simply hold BTC.

* Bitcoin dominance decreases when more and more people sell BTC.

So altcoins fate is purely depend on BTCs price reaction or altcoins are independent???guys please share your thoughts on this.

Bitcoin and altcoins aren't correlate each other. Last year Bitcoin surged to 13K, any altcoins or top coin couldn't do it. Altcoins aren't totally independent from Bitcoin. Highest investment come through in Bitcoin then total coinmarketcap value. Altcoins season will be later this year.

Bitcoin has always been in dominance for a long time and I think that has been since altcoins started existing. However, not all altcoins are totally dependent on Bitcoin. This phenomenon fluctuates. Sometimes, you might see it's effect on them and at some other time, they just grow or dump independently.
Although, in general, altcoins are very much dependent on Bitcoin, which is highly significant, because the percentage dominance is much.
Bitcoin just like a mother for altcoin when altcoin will always follow the direction that will always be made by bitcoin. The altcoin season is much more depending on the regular update about the development progress. Altcoin season can be also created easily by those who are always to do pump and dump to the market. There were the short term and long term seasons for altcoin.

I think altcoin season will be start in October (My thought).Because after halving the bitcoin people will look forward to the altcoins and that time price will be rise.but we can not say that will be bull run or something else. Maybe top rated altcoins can be rise but if you think that all altcoins will be moon like 2017 then you are wrong. But for well known altcoins it will happen.
well I really agree with you because some time ago when bitcoin experienced halving so many altcoin prices rose and from that experience I am very sure that altcoin will rise when bitcoin experiences a price increase during the halving process.
