Altcoin season will indeed occur but certainly not at the current conditions. The condition of the crypto market and the world market is very unsupportive.

Indeed, there will be many benefits if you buy some altcoin at this time but it is indeed safer to buy altcoin which is clearly a candidate for altcoin that will rise when the altcoin season arrives. Ethereum, LTC and several altcoins in the top 10 CMC have greater potential and are good for investing in Longterm and in accordance with the target price you want later.

All investments have risks, waiting for the altcoin season must prepare capital to buy altcoin at lower prices and be strong mentally when prices have not reached the target.

Altcoin season is bound to happen only if bitcoin surge higher to a new ATH and once whales noticed this they can opt in to altcoins which will decrease BTC dominance and makes altcoins to surge
Does that mean that the core of the Altcoin season is on the price movements of Bitcoin? if it's really like that, it means that the Altcoin season has just happened once, namely at the end of 2017, because at that time the price of Bitcoin was very expensive, and the price of most Altcoins was also expensive in all markets.

Last 2017 we witness a huge hype for altcoins, some makes a huge gains but many also had been suffering big losses after. Think that this thing will never happen again as we observe that there are no hypes shown to us this time.

Agreed, also one of the main reason why Bitcoin reached that high was because of the hyped Bitconnect which invited even those who don't know what Bitcoin is. Surely people learned a lot because of this. We all do.

I don't think alt season will ever come again. People learned during the 2018 dump that 99% of altcoins today are scams. Most investors will probably stay away from altcoins as much as possible except those in the top list.

In the past, altcoins have enjoyed immense gains during altseasons. Well this happens only if there is Bitcoin dominance... And I believe there are two types of principles to follow them

* Bitcoin dominance Increases when more and more people buy and simply hold BTC.

* Bitcoin dominance decreases when more and more people sell BTC.

So altcoins fate is purely depend on BTCs price reaction or altcoins are independent???guys please share your thoughts on this.

One striking thing I picked out or want to draw your attention to is the statement you just made; Bitcoin dominance increase when people are buying it, that is to say, higher demand leads to greater value. Now, it can see seen that for altcoins to boom there must be a huge demand for it which will invertly lead to the decrease in price of Bitcoin. So back to your question, no one knows when the altcoin season will be as most altcoins nowadays are just for profit with just a little number really after positive change and growth. Also, to a greater extent I think the fate of altcoins depends on that of BTC.

I think it happened in the last month before the market conditions worsened like a few days ago, the altcoin season occurred when bitcoin also experienced a good increase. I think it all depends on the price of bitcoin, so when halving bitcoin increases, altcoin should also follow it

everybody misses the altcoin season that happened in 2017, but for me it will never happen again.
it's better for me to take advantage of any situation than to have to wait for something uncertain.

Actually right because altcoins price depends on the bitcoin price situation so you know bitcoin price failed some days in fact we can't expect now altcoins price grow moment. We should them good support then crypto market will grow soon.

Its something we need to think and accept that altcoins seasons had something to miss. The market isn't performing so well nor that Bitcoin shows an impressive market growth helping altcoins to move high as it should have to be. Only the top altcoins might able to reach a high level and it giving fewer chances for the others.

In most cases, when bitcoin begins to grow then all altcoins start to grow, of course there were exceptions when altcoins grew and bitcoin almost did not grow, but this was rare, but in general when the altcoin season will be unknown, because you see what is happening now all over the world.

Altcoins season was always likely to take a long time coming but now with even Bitcoin and other established markets struggling and with JP Morgan predicting that we are likely to hit recession in this year we might have to wait for another two years to see the price recover to the previous prices.

Historically it has always been Bitcoin controlling the market. Alts do not control it  and I am sure it will remain the same in the future too. Although some alts are better than Bitcoin technically but there is none to replace it unfortunately.

Never in our lifetime to be sure! I remember when Ethereum was going crazy and Cryptokitties and tokens and ICOs were all splashing out and they were saying this is the end of BTC. And especially when bitcoin forks were being threatened,,, but we all know what happened after that and Bitcoin is going to prove the same for a long time more.

I am quite sure altcoins are not going to recover very soon due to various reasons. Problems is alt coins do not follow bitcoin trend always what we have seen when bitcoin was on $3K zone. When bitcoin jump up to $14K but altcoin was dumped more and more. I believe most of alts are on bottom now. More likely if bitcoin doesn't touch ATH again then we can't expect alt session really. Is become more complicated to predict about market lately. Due to COVID-19 global economy has been collapsing, so until prevent this COVID-19 there is no opportunity to see alt session in my opinion. Likely we will have to wait for it.
Fully agree - it seems like alts are on bottom and we can't expect them to go back up due to current world problems and crypto immaturity.
However, I have a strong feeling that exchanges and other services are interested in alts going higher so they could possibly make fake liquidity so people would believe alts are not dead.
Obviously it will work only if they keep on with timings and start the plan only when btc pumps.

maybe what you dreamed of this year could happen, Altcoin will be the heyday of your dreams.

But nature wills outside human thinking, with what has happened so far dozens of people have died suddenly of a deadly plague, in 100 people killed every day in the world, maybe half who hold Bitcoin and Altcoin.
This is the disaster of the decline of Altcoin and Btc, generally most people no longer think about coins, think of the fate of their respective families in the face of this plague.

Behind all that it can be learned that Bitcoin and Altcoin will meet its heyday again someday, we can only pray that everyone in the world will be healthy and can invest again in crypto in general.

that's when Altcoin will increase and to re-glory.

Altcoins price movement depends on bitcoin especially when the whole altcoin market is concerned. I also think interest in more profitable coin will depend on the size of exchanges listed, number of exchanges and size of marketcap of the project, these are more attractive factors to the pump of altcoins especially in bitcoin value. We need to know that some more altcoin will die and need to exit such project before we turn victims.

IMO it depends on bitcoin, during those times when we witness the altcoins season, the market was hype due to the fact that bitcoin has achieved a new ATH, now since bitcoin is struggling, no money are also falling into altcoins market.

The mentality of the investors are very simple, they believe that bitcoin is the strongest asset and as long as it holds the biggest dominance rate, altcoins will always follow on bitcoin's movement, so altcoins is just a 2nd option to them, they'll only invest when bitcoin will do better.

if, in my opinion, when the domain of btc decreased, as it did in 2017, where more people sold btc and bought alt, that was what made it go up.
The dominance of BTC is now very high, so it will be very unlikely that the high season will arrive in the near future.
maybe 1 or 2 years from now.
