If everyone knows the time for the next altcoin season then we all will want to sell our Bitcoin holdings and go buy altcoins which will make the market fall in return if there is nobody holding Bitcoin which is the one that is controlling the market. The altcoins season will come and we have to wait for it well the bull market finally comes.
It is to expected the price rush before halving but I've found out that most investors are busy buying not known altcoins, especially new projects believing that hype can happen to them. We can't imagine a price multiplying for x1000 and it really happens to some coins which literally give interest to the investors rather than looking for Bitcoin and ETH. That is kinda a smart idea and never found it wrong but just only a risky decision as many people had also suffered losses from falling into scam projects.

Bitcoin and ETH are only for the long term, but new Altcoins are just pump and dump, get in early and dump, it gets better. Holding it for the long term is risky. Many also fall into fraudulent projects due to a lack of research before investing. 
I think now is entering the altcoin season, because if you look at market movements since the beginning of the year, bitcoin and altcoins have been increasing slowly but surely, and I don't think the bull market will stop here.
Next bitcoin halving is 2024 maybe this is just a short bear market. I already experienced this two times on 2017 and 2021 so i really sure bull market will coming especially for alt coins. If you confident this is a good time for investing just before the bull market start.

I completely agree with you that the price of altcoins depends on the rise or fall of bitcoin. as soon as the rise of bitcoin starts, we will expect the price of altcoins to rise, but when this all happens, as for me, it’s not in the near future, now the market is standing still. it was well, in 2017, then there was a good growth of bitcoin and altcoins grew in price, you could make good money
Probably in the next Bitcoin halving, which is a year from now, BTC will experience a surge in value just like in 2020. However, there are no guarantees or promises whatsoever.
It will be interesting to see where the altcoin market is moving, especially since the AI trend is still growing like crazy as of today.

If I got it right, this season is already percieved as altcoin dominance over Bitcoin which can also be seen with the rate of increase on altcoins and also by filling green marks over the market. However, this is not yet certain and we will never be certain of how will this market behave in general. Price movements are either being overlooked or underestimated by investors. It is still months before this year end and there's much more to take place without notice. What is only obvious is that, we have seen an unexpected increase early this year. Question is; would it be continuous or a correction may still happen in a sudden?

I have decided I have too many altcoins in my portfolio and want to convert up to half of them into Bitcoin but I am waiting for the next pump like we saw in January to do this as don't want to convert while my altcoins are 20% down.
I have only been in crypto last 12 months so not that experienced when it comes to understanding cycles. Do we have any idea when the next altcoin season is due?

we can't predict when the next altcoin season will be no one can predict when it will happen if you don't want your coin to drop deeper maybe you should sell some and buy BTC which is lower risk if bitcoin goes up the altcoins also go up because you can say bitcoin that covering altcoins also goes up, I think the cycle is average, so if BTC goes up, the average alt coin goes up too because bitcoin king of crypto is just my personal point of view that I've seen lately.
Yes, that's the cycle in general, if BTC goes up then everything goes up too, but in my opinion it's not a good choice either if you sell Altcoin at this time especially when it's down, if that's the main indicator of Altcoin going up I don't think you have to sell it if the price will come back, but it must be seen first that the Altcoin is owned, if the Altcoin that is owned is potential enough in its price development in Bullrun then why should it be sold, it is possible that the value will be many times what you imagine, but as we realize that Altcoins have enough the risk is high so it's up to everyone to continue to hold or let go at a loss, and it's true that we can't predict that Altcoin season will come. I think the altcoins season has started now, since the beginning of 2023 the price of bitcoin has begun to stabilize increase, and altcoins prices have slowly followed this increase, indeed it has decreased several times, but if you look at the chart at the beginning of the year, altcoins are still increasing, so this is a good time to invest
The old seasons of rise will not come back but expecting a specific altcoin to rise with this is questionable. Since the majority of the altcoins are reeling under after the long crypto winter, it is difficult to predict when they are coming back in action. This goes out specifically for shitcoins and tokens which are often having a smaller userbase than the legacy altcoins like Doge, Litecoin, Ethereum.Even then it is possible they will recover at the break even price, but tough to say and the holding period gets increasingly painful for the investor forcing them to just sell at the loss and move on.

It is also good to be aware that some altcoins may still fall than we can expect. All I am expecting is that it is very possible that bitcoin will fall to or below $20000 one more time. This would be more or most significant on altcoins as they will fall more and massively. Converting half of your capital to Bitcoin is also not a bad decision.But whenever Bitcoin crosses 28,000 and goes towards 30,000, the altcoin season is very likely to start.And when the season of altcoins starts, all the altcoins will show a huge pump.The bear cycle is almost over and the market will go up after that.It would not be a good decision to sell altcoins at this time.If your alt coins are down 20 percent, there's no need to panic because the next bull season can give you huge profits.The chances of the bull season starting around late 2023 and early 2024 are high.If you have selected good and strong projects then you should hold your altcoins.Because bull season is coming soon.And almost as many experts are saying that the bull season in 2024 can give huge returns.

How do you know which altcoins will rise in the next bull market because if you just blindly invest in whatever altcoins that you see, you'll potentially invest in a project that'll scam their investors.
It isn't just about investing in altcoins but knowing the perfect picks. Binance exchange has been key in what project pumps the highest so watching the exchange to see some potential new listing could help.
Their Launchpad and LaunchPool is a good please to start from as projects like Sandbox and other Metaverse project launched from the exchange and they all did well in the 2021 bull market.
Things slightly changed the last time and that was in 2021. My observation was that altcoins usually went into bull rally after each Bitcoin circle recorded a fresh ATH. Bitcoin had its peak at 69k in November 2021. I expected that alts would rally the following year but that didn't happen. So, I don't know what to actually expect now. All I can say now is that everyone should just be mindful of the alts they're buying. Make sure they've utility. Otherwise, the alts can be swallowed up when a bear rally hits them.
