Although I don't know the specific country you are talking about, I do hope the government in your country revert the ban on crypto or bitcoins. Every ban on crypto in any part of the world is always a negative news for cryptocurrencies globally. But I think it might be difficult for them to completely crackdown on cryptos. But if they actually succeed with the internet, then it will be all over for the crypto lovers in your country, as cryptos cannot exist without the internet service.
In my country not the long time ago some politics were saying that we are just a step before we would ban Bitcoin in the area of our country, so I'm seriously thinking about moving into another country. Because all I have cryptocurrency gave me.
But for me it will be just matter of time, most of countries which are smart enough will accept crypto and other countries will follow that trend, for me this is just matter of some years till most of countries will accept crypto.

I think The Government can prohibit the involvement of cryptocurrency with the real world but they can not stop its use. There is no way to control its use for transactions etc. It is my opinion.

Maybe your government is trying to monopolize the flow of money in your country. It would be hard to guess whether they are making their own crypto or not but one thing I am sure of, they don't want their citizens to profit from an unregulated way.

The statement above can better referred to a figment of an imagination which i think will never see the light of the day, crypto is gradually gaining the attention of the world however with pockets hatred and attack but it has come to stay.

As we all know that governments are always greedy for the control and in some countries government has clearly mentioned that they are willing to eliminate the domestic usage of cryptocurrencies. However, even in the worst case scenario government won't be able to control or manipulate the crypto to crypto transactions, they can just interfere whenever crypto to fiat or vice versa transaction takes place. I am sure that we will find a concrete solution to this issue too.
As of now many governments forbids the use of crypto currency in their country, we can say that the government are really greedy for bitcoin and cryptocurrency, this is because the government want to have the power to regulate the cryptocurrency ,that is why the goverent is so furious when it come to cryptocurrency,especially bitcoin, 
Each country is different, in my country the government does not mention electronic money and they do not interfere with them, we are free to trade and just sell online, there are not any places to trade domestic.
Same here and over here, there is more of silence since there are apparently other things to achieve, and companies that are running cryptocurrency exchange business anyway are subject to paying tax which makes it an additional revenue for the government in a way. It is just a pity that in some countries, this is not the case and rather than the government embracing it, they are rather using their position to bully the citizens that put them there. I'm not sure what country you are from but I feel like the freedoms that we have in the United States would insure that the government couldn't impose on the American people to much (with the exception of paying taxes). I don't think that the American people would stand for the government imposing on them in such a way. I am sure that even in your country there will still be some people in some kind of underground that would work to keep it alive.
I hope you do not grieve and give up so easily, if the government prohibits Cryptocurrency of course there is a strong reason. there must be a way out, and I'm sure even if the government prohibits Cryptocurrency activity, there must be a new way to stay in here and share views on Cryptocurrency.
the issue of government bans against bitcoin is getting stronger along with the Chinese government which also forbids bitcoin exchange sites. but it's only in china. because other countries do not do the same, including my country. it's just still considering the regulation of this one digital asset. because the price is volatile and very risky for anyone who wants to invest, and there is no guarantee if you get a big defeat.
