I am constantly hearing about all the countries who allow are cryptocurrencies and less often I hear about countries who forbit it, so I think of most of the world government would allow crypto currencies.
In several country, cryptocurrency prohibited if used for payment in any merchant but allowing crypto trading. I am believe in near future government will regulate cryptocurrency because government must be want to collect tax from crypto trading. Transaction in crypto growing bigger every day and government must be see this opportunity
Maybe the only reason why they banned cryptos in your country is because of the scam report from May ICOs which is the government is just protecting the community.
Drugs are always forbidden, but the cartel always find ways to keep it running my friend. If your government starts to forbid bitcoins, then you must think like a gangster... there are lots of ways to cash in/out. You just have to be creative.
Sound good, Government just human being, same like us. The government has a brain and we also have the same, do what you need do not depend on someone else. Cryptocurrency is not prohibited by all countries, you can still have reason to use, in contrast to drugs that almost all prohibit it, right.

A lot of people in our country would be in trouble because some crypto users here have it as a primary source of income. A lot of people might lose their provider. However, I think that it is still too impossible for our country to control crypto where in fact, they are starting to adopt it.

Maybe your country has positive opinion for cryptocurrency or they do not want the risks associated with cryptocurrency happening in their country such as fraudulent ICO projects or ponzi models scam the investors. My country also has some policies related to this, but they only banned the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment, people can still use them to trade. I feel the government will never be able to prohibit the circulation of bitcoin because I see bitcoin has very good potential and bitcoin also has a goal to create the only money that can not be controlled by the government.
whatever happens you should not give up and must keep the spirit, for now you should stop first in playing Cryptocurrency. wait for the right time to start again, there will definitely be a way.
They can ban cryptocurrencies involvement with the real world but they cannot stop your use of it. There is no way they can control your use of it for transactions etc. It sucks they're doing this but there's also a limitation on how much they can do.

Cryptocurrency has a big role to our economy. Alots of people engage to this so that they can have money. I can't sometimes understand the principle of government.
There are many reasons why a government ban or prohibit cryptocurrency. Mostly they are afraid they cant control it, and may possibly drive out money from their country. Also, it is used for fraud and with not enough regulation, many will lose their hard earn money. But still, cryptocurrency popularity and uses is unstoppable.
I think it does not matter if a country forbids crypto maybe it will only be temporary because anything can change instantly crypto is a technology so pemerinta will be very difficult to stop a technology.and in my country there is no prohibition on the ownership of crypto..

In my own opinion, the government will only forbid cryptocurrency if they are losing a huge amount of their funds due to the growth of bitcoins which people are preferring to invest on cryptocurrency more than placing their money on banks because bitcoins are not taxable.
If our government forbids cryptocurrency we will not do anything about it. In my country our government not actually forbid crypto but they said that it is our risk to invest in crypto because of some scams have been happened. My country also consider what is the positive side of crypto so that they will not ban it.

You're right that the reasons are different. But I same protection of the Nation is question first of all to the people. They must decide what politics must to do. Only after that they can do something.
Fortunately in my country the government has not banned e-money we can freely trade them without having to pay any income tax. And we are not forced by any request from the government.
