Yeah, we see how they come and go rapidly days by days.  We can realize only some ICOs that really control their token after the distribution. However, many also other ICOs that really offer the different concept that can attract us. here, it depends on the ICO developer itself. The bad issues of the ICO like this can also lead the situation and trust of the ICO decrease. We also realize how an ICO struggles to reach softcap and some make efforts to support the token. Here, I cannot predict how far ICO hype will last.

Actually and yes but technically the one who work and do fake ICO are the one who do technology and knows information technology as well its hacking so the ICO team is fake, "posible" that they well have a way that no one will track them.

Possible they can be in jail the government will do something about it. It will end if the government will keep track on everything like cryptocurrencies and ICOs.

Every day more and more ICO collect money, and then disappear. Do you think we need sanctions for ICO?
I do not think it needs a more stringent measure to change the ICO. The current ICO is a lot but we do not have the right to stop it.
It is simply a call for capital to establish a new altcoin. If it does not qualify for a call, the idea is that it will be kicked out of the Crypto market because it does not have enough capital to carry out the plan.
In fact it's just about the competition between every ico to attract more and more investors. So many experts are saying this trend will be so long. At least for a decade and others were expecting the ico trend will be the last until 2030. But if the more countries can accept icos as a way to raise the funds. And I guess this will be long. This time it can't be predicted we will see the regulation and the development of icos.

I don't think it's going to end, it's actually really popular right now. BUT as everyone mentioned, not all ICO Projects are worth of your time. Just pick the best of the best, one of them is DCC!

Distributed Credit Chain (DCC) is the world’s first distributed banking public blockchain with a goal to establish a decentralized ecosystem for financial service providers around the world. Take a look here http://dcc.finance/index.html  Wink

In the US there is a crackdown since the centra scam. The SEC is not doing the country any favours. The US has plenty of blockchain investors but the US based projects are clearly trailing behind the international competition. In the grand scheme of things the centra scam is completely meaningless. Of significance is recent development like the cease and desist order for shipchain, as it will keep more investors away from US based projects.

I followed a few US projects and noticed the same, they are often not on par with projects from Asia, currently they spend too much energy on regulation and the scams instead of embracing this technology and rather look at the upside and the transformational potential.

The more reason you should do your homework before investing in any ico otherwise you might be wasting money, energy and time on the fake ICOs. Search this forum on the clue to know real ICOs.

As long as there are still idiots that's gonna invest in shady ICOs they won't stop scamming. There are things that needs to consider before we invest our money into ICOs. Aside from reading the white paper which is where the persuasion part is allocated, we need to research as well if the people behind working the project are real. You need to assess as well if the project that they are working is realistic that can be used in the real world and not just all promises. I know lots of people made money through ICOs but we need to spot the legitimate one to avoid any loss of investments and always invest an amount that you can afford to lose.

You can refer in here as well on how to know if the ICO is a scam one. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-know-if-the-ico-is-scam-1963768

If Scam ICO's continue to emerge and gather as much money they could take and repeatedly continue this Cycle. Investors or possible investor would never invest again, this would make a big impact to Legitimate And Real ICO. and might really affect the crypto community. This is actually sad. By scam it actually kills ICO with potential.

Yes, ICO scams are currently very rampant. These fraudsters' practices hurt the entire cryptocurrency market. However, it is not our own ability to fight these frauds. What we need is the government's supervision of ICO.

ICO will never end. It just like a start-up business, instead of collecting money in real life, they go to internet and make an ICO. There are still potential ICO within real products and real work outside.
A lot of people still interesting in invest on ICO, even its risky because high risk - high benefit. You want to get a lot of money from your investment thats why you invest on ICO and no one force you to invest on it. Its your own decision, so make your choice carefully. Take your time to find all information before making decision. Great team, project's idea, real product and roadmap are considered before investing.
Make your own decision and invest what you ready lose 100%.

If ICO is fraudolent it is already sanctioned seeing fraud is a crime even if committed through 'unregulated' ICOs. Anyway I think hype has already ended or at least has seen an unprecedent drawback after BTC peak in December. Before the BTC drop ICOs were easily reaching soft and hard cap, now it is not so easy and we are seeing many token burns. In the long run good projects will be good, money harvesting one will slowly die. Always do you deep own research and you will be good.

I  think ICO will need some regulation,  problem that a lot of ico comes without any audit before sales. But in the end all be fine, there are more and more company which run they own rating of the ico to help investors made a good choice.

This year ICO will still be hype because there are still alot of people supporting it. It will just end when the people got fed up with ICO scams and choose not to support ICO anymore. Maybe it will happen 2-3 more years. But dont neglect the fact that there are still successful ICO out there.
i believe this year will be the end of ICO if we dont regulate it. There are too many scam project and many investors lost big amount of money of that scam project .if this things will continue there are many investors will lost thier trust to invest into crypto currency.

Lately, U.S. SEC released and launched an ICO named HoweyCoins to at least spread awareness and to educate possible investors. I think, due to that educational ventures, ICO will be in a bridge of judgement. Every ICO will be in filtered in every individual's way.

Anyway, what sanction do you suggest?
