A phone with a strong computer can not be compared. But it is hoped that the technology will be moving as soon as possible with small and powerful parts of the phone, Bitcoin mining will be possible one day.
the difficulty of bitcoin to mine is very hard. So i don't think that mining on mobile of bitcoin will be possible. I am aware of a new coin named phoneum that is in beta phase, that has mobile mining. That sound interesting to me. But my opinion in general, staking is a lot better. 
As we all know that smartphones are just like computer nowadays that has strong storage capacity and processor. This I think could be enable to mine bitcoin and this is what I am waiting for if there are any smartphones company that would offer their smartphones for bitcoin mining or even as a smartphone that works as digital hardware wallet for bitcoin and other crypto. I am waiting for it to happen. Do you think that it will happen?
there has been few attempts to make coins that can be mined with your smartphone but none of them have been very successful. Smartphone companies are stuck at making bigger camera but with the help of quantum chips we will be able to see more advanced smartphones within few years. I think that's when crypto mining will shift to smartphones and you can mine everything with your smartphone without destroying its hardware.

You never know! With the help of nano technology we may be able to achieve smaller chips that produces as much power as a full sized mining rigs in future. I mean that is not the reality now but it may become in future. If you were 80's kid, did you ever think that you can carry a computer in your pocket? Because what computer we have seen that time was Pentium one and it required an air conditioned room to run that. Nano technology achieved that impossible and now we carry a smart phone inside our pocket.
So keep your hope high as we don't know where the technological achievements can take us!
Yes absolutely I agree with this! We are in advancement of technology and modernization so it is not impossible to mine bitcoin using mobile phone or Smartphone. If you are looking for some mining industry they also used bot and others to mine cryptocurrency like other successful ICo they have been released their first application that can mine their own tokens. So it means it is more possible to improve this kind of mining ecosystem that can also available in smartphone in the future.
How BTC can be mining by phone ? Its processing speed is too weak and very inconvenient to perform as a digger. Can only think of accessing free BTC claim websites with a mobile phone. In the future if technology develops this can happen. But nowadays, it's impossible if there are applications that say that they can be mining. That is malware
I once imagined a smartphone could be used to mine BTC. but if it is re-analyzed, mining using a computer alone, the results are sometimes less satisfying, how when mining using a smartphone.? I know that right now people access their wallets through their phones. We also have apps that you can download on your phone that will serve as wallets. I do not think that the phone will be functional at all if they will become a mining tool because as what I notice in a big mining rigs is they are not using that computer in daily basis but purely on mining at all. And besides video card of a computer is being used and that is the most higher graphics card that cost a lot because of mining and when we can mine in phone maybe they will became expensive too.
Most of the smart phones and apps are stopping mining due to malware virus attacks so better nt to believe in android mining
At present, it is impossible to use BTC by phone, because current phone is inferior to the application and function, the phone battery can not meet the power source for use in exploiting BTC.

The day is not so far from us. Men has go long in nano thchnology where a big amount of memory can deserve into a simple cheap. Not only memory but also big work can be made easily in a single seconds. So be cool and wait for next discover.
There will be a lot of great inventions and technology in the future but I don't think that smart phones will be developed or improved to be used on crytocurrency mining. I would rather improve the performance of these smart phones on games since we are seeing the technology is leading to these.

I think it will happen when smartphone already have built-in cooling system. If not, bitcoin mining will burn your phone because mining generate heat, a lot of heat.
From what I know smartphones can already be used in mining some coins and if I'm not mistaking you can even mine bitcoins, but I'm not recommanding that since it will take a lot of resources from your smartphone to mine them, maybe if you have one that you don't use or something like that, but buying a powerful smartphone and using it for mining it's not that good of an idea taking into account the cost it has. Better use a miner for that.
